  • I just logged in after years - I can't believe it's been so long
Crazy how we're still interacting after so much time. Hope you're good mate
Nah I was in the south of England! London is great (well.. before the pandemic, anyways!) and there's always something to see and do (cheap comedy clubs, kpop dance classes, Japanese-English-language-exchange meetups, running clubs, etc!)

LOL yeah well I guess that's pretty true.. I shouldn't look back >_> definitely too cringey..

Congrats on completing uni!!!! Wow that's a big feat!! Web dev I hear is both pretty enjoyable (clients aren't as nightmarish as graphic design lol) and pays pretty well! Takes a lot of skill to do well so well done!
And congrats on buying a house! I'd love to buy in the near future with my partner too.. but.. London prices are pretty damn crazy right now.. and I don't want to move too far out either. There are also a lot of problems with developments built within the last 20 years with fire safety issues so.. it's a minefield!
And yeah UGH.. wtf solicitors can't be THAT busy.. we're still in a freaking pandemic and usually people don't wanna risk moving at a time like now.. but hey..!
Good considering we're still in a freaking pandemic! But luckily things are looking up and not as.. apocalyptic as before. Living in London now. MY GOD look at my past visitor messages to you.. was I dropped as a child or what??

How about you? Tell me everything new. You know how much I love juicy details!
i meaaaan..... no, but theyre not garbage enough for me to be mad about it haha. they have fun! much less disruptive than most people too, at least their events are regular and predictable
Hah, can't wait to see what you do around here!

So I ended up declining the offer because they won't offer the relocation assistance (basically they cover your expenses for your cross-country move). They wanted to offer $500 but it's not enough, AND they want me to foot the bill and they'll reimburse me after 60 days...which is kinda messed up?. So I ended up saying

ah, neighbors... im glad the people next door that started arguments so loud i could hear them clearly through two exterior walls with closed windows and above the heater have either left or calmed down lmao. i dont mind the people across the alley who do karaoke to korean? rock ballads every saturday night tho

    people are..... Interesting lmao
Good news! I was offered the job! I got the phone call earlier today! The one in Pennsylvania!
However, I went through two other job interviews (one in San Antonio and the other in Colorado) and both went well. The one in Colorado seemed to be interested, and kept asking me "are you SURE you want to move here?" because it snows a ton over there. lol

Just wanted to pass that along! I see you're rockin' that teal, bro! congrats!
yeah we're very lucky that even tho we live in a metro area theres a point to keep a lot of parks and campgrounds and stuff and theres a fair few nearby! not that that stops ian from just going out past the suburbs and illegally setting up in some random woods buuuuut yes we have a decent amount of real places here.

tbh i'd rather everyone else do that and leave me alone in my house tho haha
I haven't touched Crash 4 yet. I'm still working through other games like FF7 Remake and the CTR remake. I had a neverending argument with my bf on why I wanted physical copies of Crash rather than digital. He bought Crash 4 on Digital and it bothers me. lol
my husband does that occasionally. in a less drastic way but sometimes he'll just be like "im going camping bye" and go set up in the woods somewhere. i could never lmao if im gonna go, im gonna go out to my grandparents place. at least they have a cabin, if not plumbing/water or whatever
It's not that easy, to be honest!

Also cool Crash gif. I have yet to play the new game. The classic PS1 Crash is still awesome tho.

Right now I'm more comfortable writing things up and talking/interviewing people via ZOOM. Calling officials by phone is one of my expertise. I even have the city Mayor on speed dial. lol I do some FB lives, though...however it's been a while (since the 2020 election).

You can also go inside a mining cave and kill a bunch of monsters and slimes while finding secrets of Pelican Town while you're in there. I've been doing that more than finding an eligible bachelor to date/marry.
i always think i'd be happy to go live in the woods haha but i like walking around a city too much. i'll keep making my terrible little city yard into a vegetable garden and be okay with it :)
I got several interviews in the past week...one in Pennsylvania and three others in both Dallas and San Antonio. All TV news stations looking for peeps with experience in digital journalism. That's kind of my cup of tea. In terms of being ON TV...I need a bit more training and experience. So I'm not quite there yet. So whatever I land, I'll follow it, I'm pretty much open.

Stardew is very chill. Haven't tried co-op yet, I'd like to though. It's more than just a farming simulator. Once you start playing it you'll forget time existed.
its just so frustrating having most of life be... out of my control. like im waiting on the weather, on the vaccine, on doctors appointments, on just. things and people. :( at least i started some seeds the other day so as soon as the weather clears we can start preparing the outdoor part of the garden :)
Yes! Somewhat full-time, I get assigned some stuff and I also come up with my own ideas. I work with a local TV station writing for their digital news website. :D I'm actually on the hunt for a better job (I love where I'm at, but I'd love to not be freelancing right now...because you don't have benefits such as health insurance and paid time off), so there's a 50/50 chance I may move out of Texas. I've been at it since Jan. of last year, had my own little cubicle and everything then COVID decided to kick me back home, so I have a home office now.

I am lacking my gaming because of life. I just got back into Stardew Valley and gonna see if I can catch up on Pokemon before Brilliant Diamond and Legends Arceus come out.
