    Did the type change when you used a normal move? And yeah, I don't believe the ability buffer is the problem. I think it's the game changing the type that's the problem. If you read my last message it said that I found that it was the byte write that was the problem. It buffered the ability and successfully got the right type but it didn't put it back. I had tested it on a clean Fire Red rom and even that didn't work.

    I can do that. Last night I opened up the logging tool on VBA-M and found that the game can't write back the type change. It said there was an illegal byte write at (00)000000 at (08)76019C. So it's possible that it doesn't have the pointer loaded when it writes the byte back.

    Oh and I also have the PSS split. I used a patch from someone (not Doesnt). That might make a difference.

    I did exactly what they said. Compile the routine, and put those bytes there to hook. I did expand the code to include ability slots for the rest of the types. It didn't work. I also used the bare bones version on a clean rom and that didn't work.

    Did you enjoy the play? I don't really go out to theaters that much, I prefer watching a movie honestly.

    Also I just played Pulse again with an even better score, I learned my lesson and I'm not just gonna play the game once and give up.

    Oh god, the school this week has all the tests on the everything. Like, literally. Over the course of this week there was either a test or a controlled assessment on every single course that I'm taking this year.

    My Pokémon Pulse score was actually my first attempt at playing the game ever, believe it or not. Blame Ben my years of playing Sonic.

    I pretty much hang out anywhere, at first it was mostly just Video Games because I do Let's Plays and they have a Let's Play section, but later I started hanging out in PGC, Pokémon Trivia, Pokémon Clubs, pretty much everywhere. I kinda wish I'd go to A&M more but there's like 60 different anime series I need to watch and I never get around to it.

    Biography
    Born in 1997, started playing Pokemon in December 2007. Still playing the first Pokemon game I ever owned (Pokemon Pearl) after nearly ten years.

    I made one ROM hack for myself that I don't plan on releasing, but I still know a decent amount about ROM Hacking and PKSV scripting (so ask me if you need any help). I'm starting to get the hang of basic ASM as well.
    Interests
    I'm studying to become an astrophysicist, so obviously astronomy interests me. I'm also an amateur Braille transcriber. I like drawing, and I also like to go hiking. Besides Pokemon, other games/series that I enjoy are The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Touhou, Earthbound, Shin Megami Tensei and 999.
