Okay I'll just explain it to you lol.
Basically it's easiest for you to start with a guide like this. Unless you've already read one of course lol. However also important to emphasise is egg moves. Normally I would directly explain these to you, but I realise now Smogon is smarter than me. xD

I shall explain what I find to be missing in these articles once I am assured you have read these or that you've read similar articles in the past or that you already know this. :3

No actually they made it easier to get a shiny!

In Generation IV it was four times more likely; in Generation V it's now six times more likely.
Also are you all up to date and stuff on egg moves and IVs? If you're new to it I have a few tips that they never seem to mention in the breeding guides, but I'm by no means an expert. :P
