Why do you prefer Generation 1 and 2 Pokemon over the new generations? I prefer third generation Pokemon the most, by the way.

Either way they will resemble how they look in Gen. 3+ games. Also I plan on making a Ruby 386 ROM Hack and a basic Ruby ROM Hack since Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are my childhood games.

Could they be resized, smaller so they could fit then? I guess that could work.

Also there won't be any Prof. Oak or Team Rocket or references to them and the Kanto region, though Team Magma and Aqua might be referenced in the Red game, Galactic in the Gold game. My evil team's boss will be really evil like Cyrus and Ghetsis probably.

I have plans for a Pokemon Red and Gold hack, the Gold one being a sequel to the Red one. I plan on replacing many Kanto and Johto Pokemon with Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova with a few Kanto and Johto Pokemon staying. Example: Charmander = Torchic/Cyndaquil = Tepig. I also will use devamped Fire Red sprites for the Red ROM Hack and devamped Heart Gold sprites for the Gold ROM Hack. I will also come to you for help if I'd need any. Also I plan on adding the Dark and Steel types when I find out how. The music may be edited too. I may prefer GBA Hacking but GBC Hacking will be as fun!

I've done it, it.. SHOULD have changed. :P I know this is something simple, but I did it in a different way than I'd usually do so that's why I'm a bit sceptical. It seems to have been changed now, haha :P

Unfortunately, yes, I couldn't step away from hacking.

On another note, forgive me to say this, but I don't know how to search for the bug with the method you gave me.
I'm not really an expert in hacking. =/

I'll try your suggestion this weekend, since that's the only time where I could get back into hacking.

Yeah, it has to be said that that's fine in this case, haha :)

Interesting idea, by the way (actually incorporating the Nuzlocke concept into a hack). It's alarming to think that if your Pokemon faints it's actually gone forever :P

I'm not giving up permanently, just for now, because it doesn't seem like we're even talking about the same thing. And no, it's not the ROM's fault, it's the tools' fault.

    Ugh, never mind -_-
    I appreciate your trying, though

    That's not what I want (I don't think).

What I mean is, if offset 0x8123456 has 0xF bytes, will offset 0x9123456 also have 0xF bytes?

So would the 0x8XXXXXX offset have the same number of bytes as the 0x9XXXXXX offset?

By the way are you a fan of Mario's premise of saving Peach from Bowser or would you like something different also? The premise has been the same since 1981/1984. Like a new way of gameplay that is also different from the Mario 64 styled Star collecting.
