As for the art style, it's the first independent production the animation studio has done, so it's not surprising it's unique. It still looks wonderful, though. And you gotta love the music, even if it doesn't take dominance.
They call it the Pilot Edition or something, but I think it's more likely to be the theme song. ^_^
What, in my theme? They're both from BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER, which is an amazing upcoming anime based on a song built with that Vocaloid software I've been raving about. There's heaps of links in the above thread for more information.
Back in 7th grade, I would agree with you. I guess it's actually because most books don't spark my interest. Movies are typically the same, to be honest, so it's not just laziness.
