What are the restrictions now in place for posting Youtube videos in your posts? Jambo tried here and I tried to help as well (see deleted post saying "WTF?"). It seems when you use the "youtube" tag, the "url" tag installs itself around the link. This means no one can embed video.

This could be a problem for hackmakers in particular, but I'd imagine people who have been active for a while should be trusted to post videos once in a while if it's on topic to the discussion. Say, with 100 posts, or more like 500 if you are skeptical.

Understood. I think I've seen one case of a deleted post from me in the past, myself (and whatever that was I have no clue now either, but I think it was a reply to a post that was deleted hence why mine was also deleted; rarely do I try to go off-topic on my own unless I can tie what I'm talking about into the discussion), and if there are oithers I can't see them, or I'd have to search back through pages to find them, which isn't something I feel like doing. LMAO I do take things to VM - or even PM - when I feel it appropriate (note I didn't reply to your warning post in the thread asking what you meant there), and being one of those thirty-somethings who started playing Pokémon (i.e. not a young pipsqueak with no regard for rules), was just taken aback from what looks like calling me out for some kind of childish behaviour.

I know once in a while I might post something outlandish - heck, I'm sure most everyone does. However, it's not meant to be spammy and extremely rare that I mean it controversially (I've even put disclaimers on posts saying that if I later thought it might be taken that way! LMAO). I'm sure a couple of the things deleted but not in my memory may have been unnecessary in the first place. I guess I just try to be friendly or at least try to give an answer to something, ending the discussion therein, even if it is off-topic. Please don't think I'm trying to cause trouble; even if I do indirectly do so, just let me know what's going on and I'll try to personally rectify whatever situation I cause if I need to. (Heck, I made two posts that contradicted each other in one of diego's threads and had to backpedal-edit one of them completely; looks like a badly written English paper. :D )

Oh, that was just me trying to be funny. I do that regularly. I don't do it to spam, and I rarely do it on its own; it's just my posting style and how I post. Besides, if you think about it, that's the kind of joke that would have made no sense being sent as a VM.

It actually surprises me some of the things that get deleted around here (I have already abandoned the New Members forum - or whatever it's called now - because my way of welcoming members was not considered "proper" or somethink with my greetings being hard-deleted). It almost seems my friendly posting style isn't a match for this community, which has come across as being "all business, all the time, don't be yourself" in several places already. Which is a shame. While I'm not one to tell people how to do their job, I've been around different communities since 2001 (Poké and otherwise, mostly otherwise) and have always seen a little off-topic discussion doesn't kill a thread (if anything, it provides a little humour or a chance for members to get a better feeling of who a person is outside of "business"); too much can, of course, murder it. I actually laughed at Ash's reply to the "tests Monday" post; it was a chance to be not serious and have a little fun. What's wrong with that? Heck, one hockey forum I've joined is all about the one-liners; threads tend to stay on topic or get back on topic quickly, and I've never seen posts deleted (that I know of, I'm sure true spammers - "Hey, have I got a deal for you" types - vanish quickly or simply get ridiculed).

There's a butter zone to aim for with something like that; just killing the first off-topic post and any replies to it is not the way I'd go, and I think it's easier to lose members that way. Not saying any of the members in this case will do that, and again not trying to tell anyone how to do a moderating job (and yes, I was once a moderator at two communities, though a few years or so ago, so I can see why one would think I'm barking orders), but hopefully you catch my drift here as to how unwelcoming this deleting posts business can actually be, even to veteran members (I still don't think I qualify as that designation either LMAO). Again, I forget what alienhunter's post was about, but I also didn't know it would have been deleted, so I was trying to be light-hearted in replying to it; being classified as a spammer actually does hurt.

Since I can't see deleted posts, what did I type that was spam this time? I'm fairly sure I replied to a quoted comment, but to be truthful, I've forgotten what it was about.

Not saying it was or wasn't spammy as I don't know ATM, just wondering what that was.

Im not giving you rubbish? Track his posts he has been disrespectful to me on many occasions and i have been polite. And nothing happens to fireworks lol so id say its about time someone said something to him. And its true new members come, they get treated like an idiot and then they never return. Trust me gira im not a little stupid kid, ive got a point and u know it. If fireworks says one more disrespectful thing to me i will retaiate, regardless of the rules. If i get booted out i dont care ill just go elsewhere.

You could of at least let fireworks read my post.
Its okay for him to treat me like an idiot? I know you two are friends but that doesnt mean he can talk to everyone like crap, he has been doing it for months, treating new member like they dont belong here. You wanna know the real reason this forum has turned to crap its because of people like fireworks thinking there something special lol when clearly there far from it.

So, if you like electronic dancey music, check this link out:

I've had it as my usertitle for quite a while now, but.. well, I could do with using my blog a bit more often, haha.

That's my soundcloud. I've been playing music (piano) since I was about... five? Five. And for about four years now, I've been producing music electronically. I can play a bit of guitar/ukulele too, but that's...

I'm actually quite suckish at using my blog, but... I really don't care. I rarely have anything interesting to post but this is something I HAVE to write down somewhere, because it's just too weird.

So in the late 80s, my parents moved from Ireland to Canada. My siblings and I were born there, and we lived there til I finished Senior Kindergarten at age 5. We then moved back to Ireland, where we lived in the sorta suburbs. I went to school there for about two and a half years before...

Here I am with a slightly more controversial blog post. Definitely in comparison to my previous ones anyway, which have all pretty much been little notes about my life.

Anyway, with the death of Apple dude Steve Jobs a few weeks ago, and now with the recent passing of world-reknowned (have no idea if that's the correct way to say it) singer Whitney Housten at the age of 48, it's got me thinking; when it comes to celebrity deaths, there's something that really, really annoys me.

So, it's been a little while since I last posted in this little blog, and... well, I still don't really have that much interesting things to say, but oh well :P

So if it hasn't become clear by this stage, I'm a Scrubs fanatic. (How one could be anything but is totally beyond me). Most people who know me will also know that I'm quite into music in general. And so, when you cross these two fantastic things, you get...

(In case the first wasn't enough to make you notice, my title's will all start in "My", like Scrubs episodes).

So yeah, yesterday I met up with my buddy DrFuji, who came to Ireland all the way from Upside-downia :) We had a pretty awesome day, which consisted of much walking around, then sitting down, then walking around some more. It was odd to talk about the things we usually talk about, but in person :P

So a fair bit happened during the day. We got some food and consumed...
