It depends. For example, moves data has more bytes than items data. In order to check when some kind of table ends, what I do is to find a specific order, like in the items images data, the order is XX XX XX 08 XX XX XX 08 XX XX XX 08, so I see where all the XX XX XX 08s end. Then, I am moving to another table, repointing it, and checking if the last item works fine. If it does, I know that I moved the table correctly.

You only need to select the data's bytes.

You only need to repoint an offset.

Data for one item usually takes 12 bytes. I don't know why exactly 12. Now, on item sprites' table is full of pointers: XX XX XX 08.

In a pointer, there are 4 bytes, so it's *4. However, it might be different on some sprite tables. For example, in trainer sprites' table: XX XX XX 08 00 08 MM 00.

XX XX XX = Offset where the sprite data is
MM = The order of the trainer sprites. For example, if you replace MM with 01, the sprite number will be 1. However, note that 2 is 03 and 3 is 05. Remember that everything is in hex!

Do you mean in my item extention tutorial or what?

And sure that's okay to ask me.

Hi! I'm Tetra. You can call me (Tetrable) or (Atif) though. I don't mind.

I joined back in the Sept' of 2009, solely for the purpose of downloading Pokémon ROM hacks and how to make them. I probably logged in a few times, then stayed inactive for a few months.

I eventually started visiting more and ventured into other parts of the forum. I kinda wished I'd have explored them earlier, otherwise I wouldn't have met some really cool and awesome friends! I used to be a big fan of Pokémon Clubs back in the day.

I do still visit Pokémon Clubs from time to time, but generally I'm either browsing ROM hacking for fun, looking at Pokémon General (3rd Gen, 5th, 6th etc!) but right now I'm a pretty busy person, so I haven't been visiting them recently. I'm 100% sure though that I'll have more time soon so I can discuss more stuff like Pokémon Trivia and general stuff :D

But yeah, that's about it. I'm an approachable person, so if you ever want to talk to me, please leave a VM and I'll try to respond to it as soon as I can and we can get a conversation going.
