Not quite so much for Northfield specifically (high school there has actually had a bit of a drug problem of late), but that's still the case for most of the towns smaller than 10,000 people in Minnesota.
I actually own 3 copies of it, ahaha. It had a sequel released in Japan only.
There's also the official online version (not really a story mode, just a way to play the TCG against other people online with cool and funny sound effects and animations) at
www.pokemontcg.com. It's a recent thing Nintendo has released. There are codes in every Black & White: Emerging Powers and Black & White: Noble Victories booster pack that get you booster packs from any set of your choice on the online game. Doing it the way they are now keeps it from making a dent in the sales of their actual TCG cards by making it necessary to buy booster packs to get a ton of cards online (there are 3 decks you can use when you sign up, but they're not the greatest). Making the game for any other platform would hurt their TCG sales.
