Well I was actually talking about that Barbie game, ahaha.

    Pretty much isn't.

Steam is a great thing for gaming, to be honest. No more need for a CD or DVD for PC gaming.

Did you see that there was an LP of that game on YouTube, ahahaha?

Wait the selections are small at Wal-Mart? Give Target a go or look for local used game stores. The Wal-Marts here don't have a small selection of console games. PC games yes, console games no.

But getting PC games for download from Steam, Origin, Microsoft, Impulse, or Amazon is usually cheaper.

EB Games is owned by GameStop now. Has been for almost 10 years.

Your sims can woo-hoo in them, though, ahaha.

ME 1 is probably about $15-$20 at the moment there, HGSS are $35 each here. GameStop extorts on used games to make payroll.

Well, you can't actually drive the cars as your sims. Your sims just could use the cars to visit other lots or go to work, meaning they wouldn't have to wait for the carpool or a taxi.

Huh... most GameStop's here don't have outrageous prices for a game unless their aren't many "new" used copies being sold back and the new copies haven't come in in a good while. Pokemon Emerald was $40 even two years ago because it was in such high demand for its cloning glitch.

Then that expansion was The Sims 2 Nightlife. You didn't have to be evil. If you didn't want a vampire Sim you had to be wary of making friends with the vampire NPCs. Sim Vampires actually do die very quickly in the daylight hours. The amusing thing about The Sims 2 Nightlife is that you could have your sim be a plant person, alien, and vampire all at once. That expansion added cars to the gameplay. There were a heck of a lot of places your sims could woo-hoo in, too, haha.

What kind of GameStops are you buying from?!? o_O;; Unless you were buying a limited edition, that is.

Fraps is screen recording software. Now that I think about it, you'd either have to pay for the full version to get video or pirate it, the latter being very undesirable. Screencapping is the only thing available for free on it. I do suppose there are other screen capture options.

The PC version is probably between $30 and $50 in price at the moment. I haven't looked myself, but if I had to guess, video capture equipment for consoles probably runs at about $50-$100 at least, and might produce some lag in the video, while the PC version you can just record with FRAPs and get a slower framerate instead of lag.

Civilization IV is available on Steam, so no CD needed. You can probably get it with both of its expansion packs and a bonus game using the same game engine for at most $30 on Steam right now. Might even be as low as $10 at some point this holiday season. If your computer could run Spore without lagging it can certainly run Civlization without lagging (unless your computer doesn't have a dedicated video card, in which case it might be iffy). I was asking about your PC since I was wondering if you would consider using the PC version instead for an LP since it'd probably be cheaper, but a PC version of the game would have to be on a digital software management client like Steam or Origin.

I have no idea which one that one would be, and I do know the gist of pretty much all the expansion packs for the first two games. Was there magic involved in that expansion pack? Or were there vampires involved instead? Do you remember whether it was for The Sims or The Sims 2?

I think it's quite good. But I've been hooked on the series since my dad introduced me to Civilization II. That'd be an interesting LP to see. Do you not have a gaming friendly PC anymore?

I've never actually played through an entire generation in The Sims 2 because I was always more interested in building houses and stores, haha.

MTG Salvation is a good site for that. Limited format FNM events only use the cards you get from the boosters.

I've been doing an LP about Civilization IV here on PC in the Let's Plays and Reviews section. It's been going slow because I'm lazy about converting FRAPs screenshots from .bmp files to .png files, and uploading takes a bit of time.

I've never touched any The Sims game that wasn't for PC, save for The Sims for PS2 and The Sims Bustin' Out for GC/PS2. The PC games have no set objective. You can do what you want with your Sims within the confines of what interactions are allowed by the game.

LP's are more on Sim City type forums and forums about The Sims that I was on frequently (Sim City Central, Simphoni, Simtropolis, SC4Devotion, WorldSims, Simvision, and a couple others).

You do have to be lucky, though. Limited format events are booster drafts for the most part. Friday Night Magic Limited events that are booster drafts are $10-$15 depending on the event location. Some Friday Night Magic events are just Standard format tournaments (Limited format is limited to whatever sets they do at booster drafts, but you're drafting cards you can typically sell for money). Other Limited events are set prereleases, but those run $30 per event. You kinda have to be good or get good pulls in Limited to truly have it be profitable, but getting money rares is all down to luck.

I think Counter and Mirror Coat covers it pretty nicely, but Wynaut having one of those would be nice :D
