Yeah, you bet, I'm always trying to help people who want help!

As for the spanish community, they're so friendly to each other. Everyone is helping each other out, and I think they were the first ones to really start on hacking in C rather than just ASM. If you consider there's so few of us ASM hackers around, it's literally only me doing C in the community (Touched is no longer hacking). I would like to see more of us hacking at a higher level. They're more ahead I feel, because more of them are hacking at a higher level.

I'll have something prepared for you guys in the comming week. I'm juggling a few things right now, but I'll make time!

There is a direct download link for XSE; just change the 0 at the end of the link to a 1.

I'll give your reply to my thread a proper response after I'm back from class, but in response to the question of whether you can get the fossil you didn't choose later:

You can fossils in the gift shop at Mt. Moon Square now. This is why they aren't listed as Key Items anymore in Red++ while they were in Gen 1.

The easiest way to check if DMA is disabled is find a block of data that is affected (A save block) and then look at the pointer in the memory viewer (mb, mh, mw in vba-sdl-h for byte view, hword view and word view respectively. mb 08000000 shows the data at offset 0 in the ROM). Note the pointer, then move map and check again. If it doesn't change you're pretty much guaranteed that you've disabled it. For the pokemon data, just look at the party data in the memory viewer and see if you can read it (check the level and see if it makes sense). That's pretty much the only reliable way to check, but it looks like you're on the right track.

This is where I use my excuse as a Fire Red hacker to back away from this Emerald project!

Jokes aside, I don't know. I haven't looked at it enough to tell you what's going wrong. I just gave you a small amount of insight yesterday, but it may require some more work than that.

No, no. To nop them just write 0s at the addresses I told you (for 4 bytes I think). Essentially you just want to remove the BL to the routine I told you about. Use VBA's disassembler to make sure you're removing the right bytes and confirm they were removed properly the same way.

"Speaking of the Safari Zone, JPAN fixed the Safari specials and gave his users the ability to add and remove steps and Safari Balls."

I think I was messing around with the safari and saw something like this.. sadly, I didn't post it cuz there was a spanish tutorial that already had. I'll try to look for it there if you want.
