Handheld games does not mean that they have to be on the handheld system. It means they're originally handheld games, what I meant by that is no Pokemon Rumble shinies would count on the Pokedex.

XD and Colosseum..forgot about those! O:

I kind of want to play them now. Wii's can play Gamecube games, right? o3o

    1) No
    2) I won't make it against the rules, but I will highly emphasis that you should have a copy of the game (whether it's functioning or not)
    3) No
    4) I will allow actual ROM games like ShinyGold, but I won't allow things like Mewtwo on Route 103.

Oh, sorry, I didn't read the last thing in your message.

You can't see them because the vote is completely private. When the votes are in I will send a message to all the co-owners with proof, but no one else will be able to see them.

Uh, what? I only decided for myself. The votes are still coming. Don't be so presumptuous

And you just started the circle of repetition again.

Respect the law? I can't respect the law for something that's international. There are so many different laws that respecting just all is impossible.

I am not giving permission to them. They give themselves permission. I am saying if you do choose to use them we won't hold it against you because we aren't cops.

I never said that. Stop taking what I said out of context. Seriously, how hard is it to see this? This is a Pokemon forum on the internet. Not a country. On the internet, you have people from all over the world coming into one place. If ROMs are illegal in America, and legal is Saudi Arabia, I'm not going to differentiate between the two because it's so easy to lie about it, and making it against the rules to play them for certain people will not only cause more conflict in the club over the issue, but will cause people to lie.

And comparing ROMs to murder? Seriously? What are we freaking 12? Just stop replying. You're only hurting your cause, out of all the replies I've gotten from the mass PM I sent out, 4 of them mention you arguing and how you arguing actually made them sway to my side because you have no idea what you're talking about - which led to me proving things wrong that they either believed themselves or just plain didn't know.

I've said probably 40 times before that the legality doesn't matter as it's not consistant throughout the entire world. Yes, the Nintendo has copyrights on the game, that doesn't make them illegal everywhere.

I said multiple times that I am not going to restrict the use of ROMs for some, and allow the use for others. It's either all or none. It's a Shiny Club, not a Legal System Club.

I am not ignoring it, I am choosing not to repeat myself for the 30th time.

    6. I only read what I reply to - bad habit, needs to change.
    8. What the hell are "emulator codes"? There are no such things as "emulator codes".
    9. No, I said it's okay to use ROMs (for me) if I own the game. That has nothing to do with the shiny club.
    10. MetalMario whined and stormed out because he didn't like one thing. Instead of trying to change it he made a big scene. He deserves no respect from me.
    11. Okay, first of all, you don't speed up with codes. Do you know anything about emulators and ROM hacking? None of it involves any codes. Secondly, it's not faulty logic, it's basic math. You can't speed up x4. You can only speed up x2, which is the same as playing 2 games.
    13. Serebii, PE2k, Mariland, and PokeBeach all completely ban ROM discussion. And please note that I said forums, not clubs.

If we let one person use ROMs, that doesn't mean everyone is going to start using them. It means that one person is going to be allowed to use ROMs. And I fail to see how that will make the club a ROM-user group. It's one aspect.

If someone made an Electric Pokemon fan club and had their mascot be Zapdos, that doesn't make the entire club about Zapdos.

If you don't like it, leave. I don't care. If you're seriously going to make such a big deal about something that doesn't even affect you in the least bit..I mean seriously.

Judging from what you're saying about emulators and ROMs, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. You're just copying what one person said instead of looking up for yourself and forming your own opinions.

    6. Read exactly what I said again in my last VM.
    8. You said that roms can be easily hacked. So can DS games. That's my point. It has nothing to do with allowing AR codes.
    9. It doesn't matter whether they have it or not.
    10. I don't know if you know this, but no everyone from the old shiny club was amazing.

Your game runs at 100% speed. You speed it up, you're going at 200% speed. Your DS games run at 100% speed. You play two at a time, you're doing the same amount of encounters as you would on one game at 200% speed.

You can't play on 2-5 emulators and speed it up. If you just have more than one open you're game runs at 80% speed and you can't speed it up. So those two emulators combined only equal 160% speed, which on the DS would be 200% and is actually less efficient.

A save state is when you save the emulator in the middle of a battle. Now, for shinies where they obviously can't kill themselves or run they're fine. But if you find a shiny that knows Roar, Explosion, or can just run away, it would be unfair to use save states because then you can force-avoid that issue.

Most forums besides PokeCommunity ban emulator game discussion completely.

Last time I am posting it, if you don't say it's fine or not fine I will just use it anyways lol.

    1. ROMs are illegal in many places.
    2. Speeding it up is an unfair advantage.
    3. They're not counted on other forums.
    4. Opening up multiple different emulators and hunting is not fair.
    5. You can easily hide the use of cheat codes.
    6. Nintendo has copyrights against them.

    5. I'll take your word for it~
    6. I didn't see your post. I was innactive during it or I just didn't see it. If I saw it I would have most definitely said no.
    8. You're taking my point out of context.
    9. If I don't have money, it's okay to use ROMs only if you already own it.. Don't take what I say out of context.
    10. Not really. That's rather irrelevant. The vast majority of our members were never in the old shiny club, if you took all of the ones that were and made it so they never joined, we'd still be one of the most popular clubs on the forum.

I won't ban going at higher speeds. It's the same thing as hunting with multiple systems. You can't change percentages, you obviously have no idea about the limitations of rom hacking, and I am not going to ban it for only certain people. It's all or none. I don't care about the laws because it's not a Legal System Fan Club.

I will ban changing the Pokemon, except for things like Altering Cave. I will also ban custom events, such as if someone made a Celebi event and SRed for that, I'd still let them post it but I wouldn't count it in the PokeDex.

I am also going to ban save states.

So, is the following good? It's going to be in the PM:

Just a few things I should say (the reason I am responding is because I don't want to put misleading or false statements into it. Everything needs to be 100% factual and just plain obvious.)

    4. Nintendo doesn't create laws. They copyrighted the games, and under certain country's laws that copywright is viewed differently. In the U.S., all use of ROMs are illegel. In many countries, it's legal if you own the game. They can say that eating pie is illegal. It doesn't make it illegal everywhere in the world. You know why? They're a company, not a first world order.
    5. There were no rules against them in the old club. I looked at every post in it.
    7. You don't make rules, especially now since you're not co-owner.
    8. So? In DS games you can put the AR in, take it out, then put the game in and still have the codes work.
    9. Some of us don't have money.
    10. MetalMario already left and one member does not phase me. Losing him did nothing to the club lol.

Here is what I have now for you:

What are some arguments against emulator shinies? I am going to have a club wide vote through PM (and I will print-screen every PM for proof) to see what the people in the club think.

    Here is what I have:

    Arguments against them counting:
    1. ROMs are illegal in many places.
    2. Speeding it up is an unfair advantage.
    3. They're not counted on other forums.

Oh, and no campaigning inside or outside of the club or you will be banned (same applies to everyone, even other co-owners). The entire point of providing both sides of the argument is for them to decide, not have other people pressure them into a side. And it if is allowed, it won't be an open discussion anymore inside the club. It will be forever allowed.

But, if most people don't want it, it won't be an open discussion either and will be forever not allowed.

Something like this should be everyone's decision.

I compiled a long list of 17 posts to prove my case. I have to make explanations, but it may take until tomorrow to complete. If you agree with me I may pass it on, but not likely. A lot of it has to do with time frames.
