Oh please! The Japanese killed just as many people at Pearl Harbor as were lost on 9/11. Whining about America's bombings of Japan is like whining about the bombing of Dresden in Germany. That's how wars are fought. Politically correct wars are nonsense. Back then we fought to end wars as soon as possible with unconditional surrenders. In order to do that we had to use force.

We didn't bomb those cities for fun or because we wanted to; we bombed them to force the Empire of Japan's hand into unconditional surrender to end the Pacific War immediately and to prevent countless more Americans from dying from an invasion of Japan's mainland. And it's not like we targeted civilians. That might be the popular wisdom going around these days, but those cities had military targets in them; the civilians cost was great but collateral damage nonetheless. I don't regret our decision to nuke Japan. Given the option to prolong the war, show indecision towards Japan and lose hundreds of thousands more Americans, or use a new weapon capable of ending it all and bringing a just peace, we chose the latter.

In fact, we saved millions of Japanese by doing so and not invading. Japan had no regard for human life, not even its own people. And we knew we'd face huge casualties invading Japan. The last two great battles were on their islands of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, some of the bloodies fighting in the whole theater. We saved American, Allied, and Japanese lives because of what we did. Seeing the evidence of those cities literally disappearing from the face of the Earth forced their leadership into an absolute surrender. And thank God it did.

There was also the prospect of preserving military and material resources rather than engaging in a pointless and bloody invasion of a country that could otherwise be forced to give up. We also had to worry about making a move before the Soviets made their own and invaded Japan which they very much were planning to do. We made the right move in what we did, and no it's not pretty what happened, but then war almost never is. Regardless of your sensibilities, I stand by what I said. Japan is most assuredly standing and because of us has been rebuilt and made stronger, if not one of the greatest countries in the modern world. A poor choice of words? I should think not. It was the God's honest truth.

And this goes for you just as much as that Vendak kid- don't bother with these sporadic hit and run posts taking me to task for my comments but then retreat as if you don't want an argument on your hands. That's the most annoying thing ever. If you don't want a debate, don't say anything.

Hell Yeah! Becoming a member of the US military (or "national police force" as a friend of mine refers to them) is not helping to better the world in any way whatsoever. Instead, it means you are a mindless, brain-washed thug who, instead of choosing the diplomatic route to international peace, would rather participate in blowing sh*t up, and various other acts against humanity for your own country's political advantage. I hate how people always just assume all actions taken by the US are the "right ones." Honestly, it just makes me sick ._.

Lets not forget, the most recent conflict that is STILL going on, was started by the USA and the wonderfully stupid George Bush.
Sure, I agree that Bush was an absolute moron but the reason we started this "war" is because Al-qaida attacked the U.S. on 9-11 which led to the deaths of over 3,000 innocent people. Besides, they also attacked London in July 2005 if I recall.

So while you are against wars and disagree with what's going on, I'll continue to support the American troops who continue to fight this war because of a moron.

Hello everyone.

Some may remember me and others might not, but if you do then you might be surprised to know I might be more active from now on. PokemonGO has rekindled my love for the Universe, due to it being a breath of fresh air and nostalgic with the original 151(149 due to event only).

With Sun & Moon on the horizon, I've actually been looking forward to it and getting back into the franchise for the first time in around 5 years. It's interesting to see

Things have been amazing with my time at PC and I don't regret it at all. Being Moderator of Video Games was so fun and always a tough job,
