Quick note: I ate an expired tomato. :(
    ಠ_ಠ

(How do you manage to eat an expired tomato, anyway? Isn't an expired tomato a small ball of fur?)

Best GIF ever, by the way. Stealin' it! Oh, the 60's.

...Wait, you're a horny mountain lion?

    Quote:
Also, just what are you implying by that song fitting my VM? o_o

(Note that this doesn't actually answer your question. :D)

The one problem that I find is that the mattress wears out quickly because it's so thin.
    Oh, good point. :(

But it's so convenient! And... sofa!

    Quote:
The thing with driving is that there's always going to be asses out on the road that you have to watch out for. No matter how good of a driver you are, the people around you could be horrible.
This is the main reason why I don't drive, to be honest. I'm terrified of other drivers. And, well, of the idea of hitting them. Or swerving around them and hitting a telephone pole. You know, whichever happens first.

    Quote:
And now I remember how Card once spun out on the highway because he was like "What's this fluffy white stuff falling from the sky and sticking to the ground? O_O" And then he falls on his ass while walking up the driveway.
Has he been outside of North Carolina? XD (And doesn't North Carolina get snow in some parts?)

    Quote:
Noooooooo, you have awakened the beast!
    >:D

Anyway, yeah, I had a feeling Andy could go either way. I mean, he was great with Novinha's kids in Speaker, so I'd say he wouldn't be too bad of a father in general. The problem is really Novinha in that equation; I feel like years of suppressing herself and being a general cold-hearted ***** (but an awesome one) would make her a little less of a candidate for being the poster girl for motherhood and marriage. Personally, I always thought she was asexual except in the case of Libo, but I've yet to actually read about her relationship with Andy beyond the "WTF GET OFF MY PLANET *******" stage.

(Right about here, I got up and spent an hour battling an ant invasion. I thought this would be relevant to your interests in a long stretch. Or I could secretly be Ender, and "ant invasion" is a very bland metaphor.)

    Quote:
Well, there is Dark Raid and Dark Raid ][, so... So maybe some day there will be Dark Raid l;akghl;gh. AND IT WILL BE GOOD.
Okay, yeah, it needs to be parodied.

    Quote:
As for Isshu fics, how the gently caress does one write about a region where we only knew the name of one city? And it's not even the starting town? And...and...
INORITE? NEVER MIND NO ONE ACTUALLY KNOWS WHO HALF OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE.

AND I REFUSE TO TAKE "BUT THE GAMES SUCK AT CHARACTERIZATION" AS AN EXCUSE. YOU'RE NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH, FANDOM. *angry fistshake*

Also, thanks for linking to f!s. >8| I lost another hour of my life.

(Side note, but don't forget the entire argument about how saying "he looks like a lesbian" is sexuality fail. It is, but I'm amused by the fact that they expect this fandom to avoid being full of fail for one reason or another when it comes to sex and whatnot.)

    Can't wait to see that fic~! ;D

Also, he probably actually did mention that, but I fail at remembering those kinds of details on the first go.

Ew to little boy butts. Gonna move on!

High fives for scaring customers, by the way. XD YOUR PRIORITIES. THEY ARE IN ORDER.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, too~! :D

I thought of three different responses to that video:

    1. I WILL NEVER LOOK AT CUTTING ROAST BEEF THE SAME WAY EVER AGAIN. CLEARLY, THAT'S A METAPHOR FOR SEX SOMEHOW.

    2. What is it with the 80's and its music? I'm pretty sure about 90% of it is explicitly about sex. It's called subtlety, people!

    3. At least it's not this. (...And now that's stuck in my head. BUT IT MAKES AWESOME BACKGROUND MUSIC FOR THE REST OF YOUR VM, APPARENTLY.)

    Quote:
The fortunate thing with me is that my bed is a sleeper sofa, so I can fold it up when I need room, or leave it down when I'm lazy. But my current bedroom is small, and everything I own fits in it nicely. So I figure once I get to my apartment, I'm just going to look around and go "So much room!" and not know what to do with all the space.
I'm right now filled with envy. I've always wanted a real sleeper sofa. =( Someday, when I get my own place. *fistshake of determination*

Also, I'm imagining you with all your possessions in one tiny corner and the rest of the apartment being completely empty.

(Or you've "invited" Orson Scott Card to your place, and he's currently in what's supposed to be a bedroom. *nods*)

    Quote:
*insert stereotype of bad Asian drivers?*
XD Pretty much. I haven't driven a car since I was 20, and I don't trust myself now.

    Quote:
I don't know what happened tonight, but I drove perfectly. Including backing up, which always gave me problems. Maybe it was to offset last night, where I took corners at forty-five miles-per-hour.
D8 I have to say I know people who do that, and it always terrifies me because I'm afraid they'll spin out. Or worse, collide with the thing they're actually trying to avoid anyway (like cars).

Also, I know people keep saying I should skip Xenocide, but I just need to see that interaction right there. It just sounds hilarious. (Those two should not be together. They really shouldn't. But they are, and that's why it's fantastic.)

    Quote:
It smells like wang in here! >:[
    *screams and flees!*

    Quote:
And I read the first two sentences of the story and... I'm done. Just...done. "you're breakfast is done!"
Yes. I'm pretty sure it's generic trainer fic faire, too, which is also rather upsetting. x_x

Also, YES TO THAT ONE REVIEW. I didn't even notice that the person who mentioned present tense was a mod, but... guh. What? What?

Asty, I was almost certain people who write in this language would've figured tenses are basic concepts. I...

    *headdesk* WHYYYYY.

    Quote:
Just... And people are seriously suggesting a way to turn off comments in the fanfiction section because reviews "disturb the ~flow~ of the story." Really? Really?
    wat.

I think that's the most appropriate reaction. Just... wat.

    Quote:
And what the heck is "][" supposed to be? Fancy-shmancy Roman numeral II?
See, I read it as BB code fail, so IDK.

    Quote:
ikr? I mean, I debated a bit about an Isshu fic, and once I saw more B/W Pokemon, I decided that I'd try to write one. But I filed the extremely basic idea for later because I don't have a clue about B/W and all its features. Why were people writing Isshu fics when we only knew two Pokemon?
Oh, it goes even beyond that, too. How the mess do you write a battle for Pokémon that don't have established movepools? "Oh, I'll just have it use Ember! All Fire-types learn Ember, right? ololololol." No. Just no. (And even more fun is how the mess do you write about fifth-gen attacks whose effects aren't completely known yet? Sure, have Gear use its signature attack. But what the mess does it do, Asty? What does it dooooo?)

And then, of course, you've got the lulz that is something like this: "My team consists of Shinx, Gible, Starly, and Pokabu." Double points if they think Wotter is a canon name.

    Quote:
Hey, that's one thing PokeFarm did right. They aren't going to have Fifth Generation Pokemon until after the games are released in America. You have to applaud them on that.
I have to admit that, yes, I'm glad about that. o_x The fic authors, however...

    Quote:
About events, it's like events on DragonCave. You have some warning that it's going to happen, and the event happens for two days. So the server explodes on the first day as everyone tries to get the event, but then things die down and everyone who wants one can get one.
Pretty much, in terms of GPX+. Only the part about things dying down doesn't happen until after the event is over. >_>

But I went back on GPX+, and it looks like they got rid of events, so yay?

    Quote:
All I need is a prompt, when in the time line it takes place, and ba-bing.
The circus and Andy and Angel's first date. Go!

    Quote:
Oh you mean like the cover of Magic Street? (Which you should read. I mean, it has the line "PUCK YOU GIANT FAIRY COME HOME" and two pages about that one line.) The book's about an African-American boy who's very dark-skinned and is raised in a completely African-American neighborhood, and no one in the book is white. And the cover? Has a white boy on it.
There are no words I can think of to express how hilarious I think this is.

PUTTING THIS ON MY TO-READ LIST.

Also, I wasn't aware Crazy Tom was Jamaican. Huh.

    Quote:
With how many times Bean's toilet habits are described in Shadow, that seems so likely.
"I ATE SO MUCH, I WENT TWICE TODAY! :D:D:D:D:D"

    Quote:
Goddamn, I really should not write VMs in work when I'm in a hurry and have people looking over my shoulder wondering why I'm on Pokemon websites.
    You mean you weren't semi-snae?

WOO TO DRATINI. GRATS, DEARIE! NOW GO STOP TRYING TO GIVE YOURSELF CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME OR SOMETHING.

THAT SENTENCE MADE MORE SENSE IN MY MIND.

I don't think there is ever an auspicious time for that song to be played/recited/sung ever. Then again I'm a narcissist when it comes to popular music culture. Except the few musicians I actually do respect obviously, including Queen who stayed on top of the charts for over 50 weeks, and rose to number one again with a re-release of the very song we all collaborated with. But really, not a big fan of the charts of say, oh, the last 20 years.

I'm thinking of leaving the group icon like that. It's like PC's slogan. We don't have one. Or if we did, we wouldn't be able to show it to general audiences.

QUOTE TIME. OH GOD, ASTY, WE FELL BACK INTO OUR OLD WAYS: SPAMMING THE MESS OUT OF EACH OTHER WHILE OUR VOYEUR FRIENDS TAKE BETS ON HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR ONE OF US TO MENTION SEX IN UNUSUAL FASHIONS.

    Quote:
And when I read "Scotty on a plane" I thought of "Snakes on a Plane", so... I'm sick and tired of these mother-effin' Scotties on this mother-effin' plane.
Which leads to a mental image of Samuel L. Jackson shouting this line as Scotty runs up and down the aisles, naked and sparkling.

    Quote:
You know, Scotty was never meant to be stupid.
    BAHHAHAHAreally?

Alas, I wish I could've taken a U-Haul truck, but there's no room here for half my crap. Also, this would imply that someone trusts me behind the wheel of a truck.

    Quote:
I swear, the Game comic Ender always looks like a puppy that's just been kicked.
I get the feeling this has something to do with his general canon personality. IDK, when I was reading Speaker, I kept thinking he was emoangsting whenever he wasn't trying to be a badass pacifist.

    Quote:
    But, well... AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH.
I'm sorry. I can't get past the fact that the self-insert Gary Stu is named Wang.

    That and caughted. CAUGHTED. WTF.

What really makes me sad is that this is a moderator. But then you have the admin's stickied fanfic, and I'll be over here. :|

Never mind the massive rant I'm tempted to do about Isshu fanfics and why people shouldn't write them.

As for Farm events... =( I hope you get it nonetheless. Although this may be why I prefer GPX+ over Farm. Even if attempting to participate in any events on GPX+ is fruitless in itself because everyone and their mothers gets online, which means everyone is always surprised when the server's like, "Screw this, guys. I'm gettin' a cappuccino."

AHAHAHAHAHA looking at that quote now, I realize that even if you haven't written slash recently, I would be more surprised if your mind didn't roll into the gutter. But ow. Sounds like Angel should be involved there.

Also, yes! That's exactly what's great about VDex. You actually get rewarded, regardless of whether or not you're actually there. =D It's just slow reward farming if you aren't on 24/7, but hey. (I get the feeling they even encourage you to go do something else for awhile now and then because I have a hunch I earn more money if I leave the site alone and check only once a day. Or maybe I'm crazy.)

Pfft. I can't even tell if it's Andy. For a moment, I thought it might even be Miro in a fit of racial fail that book covers sometimes have. >_>

But yes. Everyone on that damn planet should've just become bros. And there would be drunken frat boying for all! EPIC BROMANCE EVERYWHERE.

Someone needs to do this. Rewrite the entire Ender series so that it's a massive bromance. Just think of what it would do to Ender's Game. (I'm trying to wrap my head around what would happen to Bean in this kind of scenario, but it keeps ending with Bean getting his head planted in toilets.)

Also, wat to Taylor Swift. I'm going to have to listen to more of her music now.

But that is quite the odd quote. XD And that baboon quote was legendary. =D Ah, the FFL and its moments of madness (like impromptu poetry... and the orgy!) shall live on in memory at least, eh?
