Ha. Do you do it professionally? (If there's such a thing?)
Haha, what kind of instruments do they use? Do you have any examples?
Lol, where is 'here'? Because that's not an extremely personal question. ;p I inherited mine from my Granddad, it's in somewhat bad shape but it does the job - a new one would be great though haha. Although I think they're rather expensive and like you said, hard to get hold of.
Nope, never even been to Asia. :/ Haha, I have a feeling I've seen that many a time in movies though. And they always give such a sinister sound... Are you able to play them?
Ohh wow, that looks pretty cool! How on Earth do you do that without dying? xD
Ahh fair enough. I prefer heavier stuff like hard rock and metal to listen to casually, but a lot of different songs are important or otherwise it can get pretty samey. What's latin music like compared to English? :3
Ahah, no, not even sure what one is! I can play the harp pretty well, it's not very difficult compared to the guitar, etc. You should try it out some time, I reckon it'd be right up your ally.
It's... Pretty average difficulty to play, sounds better than guitar half the time but has a lot less varying capability. I personally prefer playing the usual guitar to the mandolin, it's more interesting to play. REM use mandolins somewhat regularly, have a listen to Losing My Religion and you'll see what I mean - coincidently that's the first song I ever learnt for it, haha. Never heard of a lap mandolin though? o.o
Ohh sweet - how do you find the time to juggle all that!? So does this make you a Christian?
Ahh right. I've never really been interested in that side of it myself, I'd prefer to play the music and get over people to produce it. :3 Sounds like you should be working on a solo album! Personally I prefer using tabs or playing by ear, but reading music is alright once you get the hang of it. I've learnt to since an early age so it's not a real hindrance any more, but it's still not as quick as using a tab. :p
Hehe, make sure you tell me when they're posted, I'd love to see you skills! And what is 'drifting'? xD
Hurmm, I play guitar and bass, ukulele and mandolin - I've never really had that much interest in straying away from the stringed family. I've been playing for 8 or so years, mainly using an electric purple Ibanez, which is worryingly the equivalent of my soul mate. :p Ermm, I play with a band semi regularly but mainly play solo... We write some of our own stuff which is mostly hard rock/metal, but I also play covers of groups like Stereophonics, Boston, Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro, Muse, anything that sounds good really - so it's somewhat diverse. What type of music do you like playing/listening to?
