I actually first heard the name through the TV show Supernatural. One of the demons, a very important one, was named Azazel. Led me to research the name. I found it pretty interesting. Then more recently it was the name of a demon-like character in The Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth, which is one of my favorite games.
It's not that weird. People have used the names of deities of ancient civilizations for their names purely based on what they represent. I happen to be a film student exploring the Horror genre, and so have chosen to use the name "Azazel Productions" to represent my work. That is the reason I changed my name to what I did. Few people call the devil Azazel anyway as far as I can tell.
I really just wasn't sure how to answer you at first, religious questions tend to make me a bit nervous.
Oh, sweet! And nah, you didn't. If anything, you clarified things. And why "thank you?" Well, I've always thought that people should be a lot more thankful of stuff. I used to keep "mercí" on my phone, but I picked "shokran" because of how beautiful Arabic is. I can read it too, so why not? =P
Ahh. Are both versions grammatically correct, or is "shokran" more close to "thanks" than "thank you?" This is important cause I may get this as a tattoo ;o;
hahaha me too! things are going okay, i have to find a job and it's getting a little hard but i'll find one eventually ^^ what about you? still working with kids?
