the government has no business existing. they are funded by violence. And them spying or encroaching on property is even worse.

legality/illegality is irrelevant to me. Legality does not equate morality. Do you mean it is a violation of property rights and/or self ownership for the government to be spying?

But within a single state it could...

ya, it would be significantly easier to take away the rest of our rights. *cough UN cough* They literally are trying to ban hentai in the name of women's rights lol.

Im not a gun owner, but idk if I would comply or not with the law. I really dont want to die in a shootout haha. I would probably try to find ways around it, give away my current firearm to the gov, and then buy an illegal firearm off the black market and keep it hidden.

idk what these guys are trying to argue tbh. they have yet to justify how they have a right to my property.

Yes. I'm from Argentina. As a matter of fact, I do live in a dangerous neighborhood. Sorry but I don't think that everyday someone saves his own life thanks to having a gun.

Well if you locked up every gang banker, you still haven't removed violence because it takes violence to coerce the people into paying for the prison systems.

it would be anarchy if the government tried to take away people's guns, but I do not have any studies to back this up. maybe some people may be willing to give it up?

As I see it, the problem is that there is no clear way to get rid of gang bangers. A citizen, even with a gun at hand is extremely outpowered, against a criminal. Because they don't respect the laws. I don't remember well but it was you who said that you were alive because you were able to defend yourself thanks to a gun? If that's the case, I'm afraid you might be a little biased. What happened to you, doesn't happen everyday. There had been more cases of common citizen killing each other with their guns, than common citizens that are alive thanks to a gun (like you). My standpoint is that a gun is more of a liability than it is helpful in any way.

True. But in all fairness, most people are like that. Regardless of their political/ideological aligment

if they truly believed in reducing violence they would be anarchists lololol

Its contradictory to use violence to take weapons from peaceful individuals to reduce violence haha. They are not using consistent morals. If they can prove they are using consistent morals and disprove why i am not, i will happily become a liberal.

Haha. It seems to me that he wants to outwit everyone more than he wants to know what it's right.

Yeah sorry, that's what we call a "slippery slope argument." Don't expect to have a long conversation with me if you're going to use fallacies.

Gun control, as in mandatory background checks, closing gun show and online purchase loopholes, banning high-capacity, high-powered rifles that were created to kill a mass number of people efficiently in wartime, preventing felons from purchasing a firearm, preventing mentally unstable people from purchasing a firearm... list goes on.

I'm for gun control. I'm also in favor of constitutional revisions. It's 2016, not 1788.
