I've heard of AT4W but the creator's background scared me off as I felt that it wouldn't be serious.

XD and I thought that I was the only one that felt that way bout Visual Novels. I don't know why, I mean people say sex sells but I wouldn't mind it if it wasn't so unworldly or just there for some person with an odd tentacle fetish or something outlandish.

Here is my long half-unorganized plot:

The year is 2137, 50 years after all previously established civilizations collapsed. Many people suffer from a disease, Crysol, that causes crystals to form over the afflicted and spread as the virus reaches advanced stages. As the crystals spread, the host's body is rendered significantly useless and immobile. The disease has 4 stages.

1st stage: It has a 50/50 chance of being benign. The inflicted suffer from dizzy spells or delusions. They are capable of most movement tough the afflicted area is significantly weaker and easily strained. Crystals have begun to form in a concentrated area although contained in one area.

2nd stage: The infected suffer symtoms of schizophrenia and tend to suffer from "visions" and hearing voices. This stage is the last stage that is possible to entirely treat the disease. Crystals maybe become more concentrated in the infected area or the infection might spread to other limbs.

3rd stage: Although not entirely immobile, their senses may become morphed and distorted as they begin to suffer from memory loss.

4th stage: vital organs begin to shut down. Usually 90% of the body has been rendered immobile. This stage is commonly fatal and infected will often die unless put under proper treatment.

The disease is not contagious by contact, although if a crystal manages to breach a persons body, there is a chance they will catch the disease.

There are those who survived the first stage of the disease and and also those who gained a immunity to the disease, known as The Outcasts, and respectively outcasts from society due to gaining abnormal abitlities consisting of being physically stronger, durable, and advanced reflexes and some gained unique abilities such as flight, advanced intelligence and various others.

Maybe people, Outcasts and infected, have attempted to blend into noarmal society. Both have been discriminated by society, Outcasts more than infected. Outcasts became bandits , some bold enough to raid towns. Soon mercenaries to counter bandits arose, although significantly outnumbered by the thieves.

The cause of the disease is possibly from a foreign, planetoid about a third the size of the moon as it was the immediate cause of the collapse of society. Crystals similar to the ones formed from the disease have been found on the surface of the planetoid. The climate change/planetoid crashing into the planet was be the immediate cause of the collapse although civilazation was already on that route then soon race/nationality by location was be hard to determine and certain parts of the planet became overrun by either "wilderness", crystalized areas growing from out the crash site, and also wasteland-like areas between cities.

That is all I have for now but I wanted to have an Elderich Abomination on the planetoid that crashed.

I guess it's better to take it in strides than to unleash the beast in the wrong situation. Still, I don't think I'd trust myself to stick just to the safe instances. I'll stick with random acts of kindness!

As much as I like to help people I couldn't fully commit to hospitality/customer service jobs because I'd be so tempted to reach out and choke some fools. The customer might be right but they're still stupid.

    I should make t-shirts... :b

I had a typesetting job over the summer; would have been better if they didn't throw me into an impossible project that the higher-ups screwed up. I was even the driving force of the project in my department and I couldn't enjoy it. Oh well!

    Sounds that way!

I gotta wait until 2 pm to play online, but there's not much for me to do until then. I'm in the final week of winter break and not wanting to think about going back to classes... I'm a little more laid back I guess. But I am seeing my girlfriend this weekend, so at least I won't be a complete slug doing nothing until the semester starts up again. XD

Nice profile colours by the way.

That philosophy is so weird but I love it nonetheless. I sorta want to know if you want to help me with the RP concept that I've been working on for a few weeks since it isn't much. It isn't a horror but more of an post-apocalypse story. If you are interested, I could inform you more about it, since I have been looking for someone who I can brainstorm with since you are familiar with Eldritch abominations. If I see you are keen on the idea, I would be willing to even let you co-GM.

It's not really guro or gorn... in fact if you want me to, I can send you a picture of the backgrounds, which are probably the goriest thing in the VN (it can be blurred/censored at the begining of the novel).... but the 2 monster H scenes was terribly out of taste. Those two parts are the only reasons that would probably offend you if you are easy to scare. Only one scene that involves any gore at all, although to be honest it'll probably offend you unless you sensor/blur the novel. The more I talk about it the worse it seems, so I guess I'll drop it.

XD I understand. The eldritch abomination is never shown itself if that lessons it. Also most of the horror isn't exactly as people put it but I guess I'll leave it at that. Btw you love to abuse it?

XD hopefully what you heard won't scare you from it immediately.

KS also inspired me to start drawing after a hiatus (I always wanted to make a VN or at least either help with creating a script or art) and I guess you could say I drew my avatar. I did a picture of Hanako but I can't find the scan...

:D I'm confused how it was the best and worse, guess I have to see for myself. I personally liked Hanako's route the most O.o but I'm not even sure of that because I loved all the others.

Saya no Uta is good though. Here's a idea of it (copied from wiki no spoilers)

Fuminori Sakisaka is a young medical student, whose life is changed when he gets in a traffic accident which kills his parents and leaves him heavily injured. Fuminori undergoes experimental brain surgery to save his life, but the surgery has an unintended side-effect - it creates a form of agnosia, causing his senses to become "warped". He perceives the world as a hellish nightmare with a black sky and buildings covered in pulsating flesh, where all the streets and building interiors are splattered with blood, giant organs and cartilage. Ordinary people appear to him as grotesque, giant grub-like monsters with a hideous stench, and even food that he used to like now tastes utterly disgusting. As he contemplates suicide in the hospital, Fuminori meets a beautiful, human looking girl among the flesh-covered walls. She introduces herself as Saya, and is apparently looking for her father. Fuminori does not want to be separated from Saya, and asks her to live with him. She agrees.

Although it says things like there are (flesh covered walls) it really isn't that bad. I felt that it would make me throw up or something when I saw it but it isn't bad at all.

I read it already (except for the Rin path) I ridiculously love it. Got it on release and for some reason I never got to Rin's path although I still want to. I felt the plot and H scenes fit together very well as it wasn't ridiculously excessive as most H Visual Novels tend to be.

What you said about MGQ is exactly how I felt about Saya no Uta. Although there were like... 4 H scenes and I felt two were unessisary for plot and one was ridiculous. The plot and music were great for me aside from that and it wasn't very long at all (finished it in about 3 hours). If you try to read it, I'm warning you now that yyou might hate it for the "bed scenes" that might offend people who haven't seen the stuff before.

I've been looking for some VNs to play through and someone told me Tears To Tiara was good

I've played Saya no Uta and thoroughly enjoyed it (Which was a really awkward thing to follow at times).... The H stuff in it got excessive to a point where I feel that it held the story back from being a masterpiece. Just as long as there is plot and it's not just pointless adult content then I'm sure I'll be fine with it :D

About Me

  • About Puppeteer Mask
Congratulations! By stumbling upon this page you have found the least interesting profile on the forum! I started getting into pokemon shortly after it came out in Canada when it was the "in thing", and was totally apathetic to the fact that it lost popularity amongst my peers shortly afterwards. Alas, some of us cannot be the popular kid if we tried. I cycled through a lot of different interests, I had been enrolled into Karate by my parents with the hopes that I'd be bullied less, and while I dearly enjoyed it, that didn't really happen. I started to get a much larger and closely knit circle of friends in high school, although at that point all that bullying and harassment had made me a particularly jaded and sardonic teenager with a habit of sounding condescending whenever I tried to explain anything to anyone. (Just in case you couldn't grasp the meaning of what I said, I'll explain it in simpler terms, just for you. When I was younger, I had the bad habit of talking down to people because they were stupid.) See, I just did it again. I can't help it sometimes. Really, I try hard not to. Either way, high school was both great and kinda horrible, my jadedness eventually spread to everything and I became a bit of a useless wastrel. I've been turning that around, though. I'm currently saving up money for a Journalism course in college, and eagerly awaiting an acceptance letter. I was in my school's improv team for the last two years in high school, I enjoy food and work with it on a regular basis, I'm a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I've been RPing since my early teens, and my favourite food is fsteak. So yeah, I'm pretty awesome, you know. Are you?
RPs, cooking, reading bad fanfic, Linkara, watching competitve level fighting game matches ('cause no way in hell will I be in one), making jokes about you behind your back. (Nah, I'm kidding... or am I?)
