    Is anyone still using the AFD skin now that other skins are available? I don't think so.
    I am. =p People in another thread in this section are also asking for the skin to remain after the joke.
    Do you have any stats to back this up, "that relaxed vibe for the members who do enjoy it, which I don't feel is a minority" ? I really am doubting that it's a majority who liked to have had the skin default enabled for 24 hours. Again going off topic here, we could continue this somewhere more appropriate if you'd wish.
    No hard stats right now - no official poll was ever done after all. But this is going off my experiences of PC since 2008 (including AFs I experienced when I was a member, so I've seen both sides!), and seeing people's comments on the forums and in chats over the years. I've seen both praise/enjoyment about it, and complaints about each event. Overall I feel I've seen more positive comments about AF events on PC. I also personally view the full 24 hours as short in the grand scheme of things (1/365th of a year), but maybe one takes that viewpoint after being on PC since, well, 2008, haha. Other events also lasted the full 24 hours (or longer because time zones!), and some were much more intrusive's than today's (history of PC's April Fools jokes can be read here).

    Sometimes I've been annoyed by downsides of some AF pranks as well in fact! But in the grand scheme I've enjoyed them and am confident many others have/do as well.

    Hi, I just thought of another problem.
    As you know, some functions takes function pointers as parameters and will it be correct to use the following in C?
    int first()
    task_add(another+1, 1);
    return 0;

    void another(void)

    The main problem is that i don't know what will happen if i add 1 to a function pointer, because i haven't done it when I'm learning C programming.

    Hey! So so sorry I took so long getting back to you.

    But yea, I definitely agree about GameDev vs. ROM hacking. I sorta prefer it that way, building something of my own from scratch (same way I am with development in general, I'm much better at building something from scratch than I am at modifying existing code). Sadly there's also fewer resources for essentials than there are for ROM hacking--tilesets and scripts, for example. But hopefully one day game dev will catch up in that regard haha~

    It does seem a bit dead in comparison to the ROM hacking sections :c Maybe it's just because PC is really famous for ROM hacking and some really famous ROM hacks have come from PC, but that's not quite as much the case with Essentials-based games.

    I simply want to use something I can control and understand haha
    But for the makefile I have no idea, because i simply use gcc, ld & objcopy, I may give python a try

    Ahh yes, I know the feeling! It's a wonderful feeling. I bet you get that a whole lot with romhacking.

    And yea, I wouldn't know where to start if I hadn't read up on it first xD And even if I had managed to dive into it and end up making something decent, I wouldn't have any foundation to know if I made noob mistakes and would therefore end up making more of said mistakes in the future without even knowing. Long story short, I'm more of a technically oriented person so I need to understand it in technical terms before I can really get a handle on it haha

    And yea, that'd be great!! The extra bumps would totes help n_n Have you ever thought about trying out Essentials?

    Yup! (at least I hope I do ;p )

    And ohhh I see, that's pretty cool! Is that something you can do with just Pokéscript, or is there assembly involved?

    The reading's been going pretty well, I'm about halfway through the book right now, up to the chapter about animation~ It's interesting reading, I usually enjoy reading these kinds of books haha. And nope, I'm jumping right into the game dev, since that's more on the side of what I'm comfortable with, so I'll learn a lot more by just doing it
