Hmm possibly, you dont want to edit those unknown bytes though, I've actually corrupted a ROM just by changing one of those. Could you send screenshot of NSE open with the hex editor open? Cause that issue was always caused by the pal register for me.

I think most people are noobs when it comes to this, no ones documented anything about it.
Well in NSE if you click ctrl-m it will go into advanced mode and show additional information.
There will be a label that says Pal Register ## ## ## ##.
    Spoiler:

Then you will want to open up NSE's built in hex editor and click sprite offset and find the pal register that was shown.
You probably will not have to scroll at all.
    Spoiler:

You will want to edit that first number to a free register. use the list I posted on Q&A for a small little pointer in the right direction on free registers.

I better be a beta tester, Danny. And, uh, yup. Still using it, for another hack.

Oh, thanks! That's really cool and considerate of you even if you can't help and I appreciate it.

To answer your question I'm still honestly not doing the greatest, but it's probably better because I'm not as constantly sick as I was before. Still really :/ about everything, though.

I simply take parts, codes, hex values, routines, etc etc from FireRed and see if it is present on Emerald. I start taking hex bytes then search it. If it is present, glad it exists as well on EM. The hard part is what if there are a lot of those when you search them. I open up them both in two VBA and open the dissassembler so I can check there if they function as the same. Knizz and Touched's FR and EM IDBs respectively on IDA Pro is one great thing to check if the routines function the same because that explains each and every part of the ROM and especially the RAM. That's how I mostly port. To think about this, this would be my gateway further in ASM learning.

daniilS is the one who originally did that for FR a long time ago. It is just me who ported it over to Emerald. :3
