Oh lord that brings back some memories hahaha. I went to McDonald's for Pokémon promotion toys on a few occasions and it's almost hurting my heart to think about.

    Planning to relive those memories when RBY come out on Virtual Console?? c;

It creates a has/has-not psychology between Japan and the West, and it irritates people solely because they're in the has-not category. Most of the time I don't think they care what the content is, the only reason they're kicking up a fuss is because they don't have it and someone else does. It's insignificant, so they SHOULD have it, it's censorship, discrimination, etc etc. I find it funny in some respects, because we never used to get these games at all...give people an inch and they'll take a mile, etc.

You're not missing much, I don't think. They make OK-ish action titles. I'm very worried about NieR Automata now that it's been revealed they're developing it.
It's a bit early to be claiming that, methinks...who knows what this year will bring? I expect I'll have something like 60+ new games before the year is out...since I already have 20 or so planned for the first four months of the year, and I know of more scheduled for the year I'll want. It's an expensive hobby. I'd say save your money and get Xenoblade Chronicles X instead of Pokken or Odin Sphere, though =P

Oh, I dunno, Halo is still fairly popular...it's pretty much all Microsoft has left, after all. When I had a 360 Mass Effect was the big hook, and there was supposed to be no way it'd ever come to PS3...a few years later, the trilogy gets released. Fail. Why anyone would choose a 360 or an Xbone over a PS3/PS4 - or even a Wii U - is beyond me. xD
Yes...I cackled. GAME really aren't very lucky these days since they came back from the brink of administration; a few months ago they couldn't sell gift cards because some idiot in Scotland accidentally ordered the company's entire stock. xD

A bit of both, maybe? People get really caught up over games...I do too sometimes, actually. It's usually an indicator that you need to put it down for a few minutes and remind yourself that your life does not revolve around a video game. Or that you need to keep playing until you show that cheating piece of programming who is boss. Either or.

I'll play some later when I get home later today (as in Saturday). Splatfest will be fun, though I'm not sure which side I'll take.

    How to life? xD

I would have thought so...Woolseyisms in localised titles aren't QUITE as common as they used to be, and I expect someone would have made a fuss over it if Bravely Default got localised to that extent...hell, people made enough noise about the bravo bikini costume. NIS special editions cost a fortune, since you have to pick them up off their store most of the time, and the prices on their store are offensive. Same with Square Enix's online store, in fact - the FF Explorers special edition is £5 cheaper than BD's here and it comes with only a 32-page art book. Compare to BD's 250-page one. Never mind the figurine and soundtrack CD packaged with it too. Retailers are greedy because they need a small cut of the sales to keep going. Publishers are just plain greedy.
It's always fun when stuff like that happens. GAME messed up Mario Maker preorders last year by charging customers twice and it took over a week to sort it all out; people were furious. You'd think with online purchasing it'd be easier to sort out. It's no wonder retailers are going into administration.

Nintendo have always been very all over the place with sales, though - they never know what is going to do well and what isn't, outside of their mothership franchises. An initial drought isn't the issue I don't think, what IS an issue is that they take such a long time to replenish stock. It took them something like eight months to sort out Amiibo stock, and I still never see certain ones in stores.
There isn't a situation, at least insofar as I'm aware...it's been available as a standalone since release, with the special edition being the two combined. The one with the artbook sold out in seconds, but otherwise stock has been alright, I think. I didn't really get along with the original game - honestly, the only PlatinumGames title I've ever enjoyed is Vanquish - so I've not played the sequel yet. All I can say for it is that it has the same mix for its soundtrack: spectacular boss themes, crap everything else.

You were? Wow, you have more faith in Nintendo than I do. I was turned away from it from the start...not to the point that I'd sign a petition to cancel it, but enough to be disgusted and pretty much abandon hope for the franchise. Metroid is one of Nintendo's lesser known franchises, yeah, but it was pretty big during the Gamecube era, thanks to the first two Prime games...and then it went and lost most of its popularity by churning out Other M. Prime was a HUGE risk back in the day, though - Metroid had always been a side-scrolling platformer; it coined half the term for the genre (Metroidvania) after all. A FPS title was a ridiculously huge leap, and it paid off. Nintendo keeping quiet about Metroid makes it difficult to know precisely what the hell they're playing at...another game like Prime would sell like crazy. Another game like Other M - a traditional Metroid title, for all intents and purposes - probably wouldn't. Although the issue with that game was more the characterisation than the gameplay, admittedly...hrmn. Regardless, Federation Force is not what the series needs. Splatoon had the amiibo problem, but then, the amiibo problem was a monster all by itself. I see the Splatoon amiibo every time I go into my local GAME store now. I'm surprised it's so popular, honestly.

It went viral. It's awesome when stuff goes viral. xD
I thought the whole idea was for the cats to eat the food, aha. If he pays out, then why are people complaining?! That's Tumblr for you, I guess.

I think the idea is that you make fewer mistakes when you get older, but the mistakes you DO make have a significantly bigger impact on you. xD

I always thought Ringabel was the more popular character...he definitely is on Tumblr, anyway. Agnes is very bland and forgettable, I suppose it's just because she's the lead protagonist that she's getting statues and whatnot. I can't say I've ever bought a special edition for an artbook; I go after the stuff I can't download, if it's not overpriced. Considering how much stuff costs - nearly twice the price usually - it needs to be worth it for me to pick it up. Games cost too much as it is, and there seem to be more coming out that catch my eye every year...

    Because it's crap? xD
It might have been a little better with proper online multiplayer, but Nintendo have always been the odd one out when it comes to region locking. For the most part. Atlus like to do it as well for no discernible reason.

That explains it...I wonder if the designer was a Tumblr user? xD
Awww, how can you hate that? He looks very...content.

I guess things never work out the way you plan them...not sure why, though. I look back on it and think my goals through University were fairly sensible, but now I try not to think about the future. One day at a time.

All work and no play makes people go crazy, yes? A lot of people live to work, but personally I could never do that either - no relaxation time, no point in living. Need to balance these things; life is supposed to be enjoyable after all, since you only get one. Nobody mentioned that to life, though: it seems to think it will go on forever and is thus entitled to screw you over at every opportunity. Or maybe that's just me.

Nothing to be jealous of there - it's twice the price of the standard edition and the figure is dismally tacky, like the one in the first special edition was. We get second-rate special editions of games most of the time; compare the EU and US release of Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Zestiria to see what I mean. I think we're used to being shafted by now when it comes to delayed for no reason games...well, I am. I know a lot of people are up in arms about it - I used to be as well - but I have a backlog to attend to, so after the initial fury I quiet down. It could be worse. It took Rune Factory 4 over a year to reach here and when it finally did it was digital-only. The digital-only thing is a lot, LOT worse than any delay in a physical release could ever be, especially on a region-locked Nintendo console. I refuse to buy Popolacrois or Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven, and I imported Code; Realise and Norn9 from the US because they were digital-only here. Neither practice is acceptable, but better to get it in a proper format late than get it on the Friday after the US release in digital-only. /indignant rant
I finished Triforce Heroes, but not 100% - I'm not doing time trials with randoms, it's a nightmare, and doing them yourself is pretty much impossible. As far as Zelda games go it's easily the most disappointing in recent years, especially considering how good A Link Between Worlds was...blargh. Nintendo. How the mighty have fallen, indeed.

Looks like something straight off of Tumblr...those chubby cat things. In game form. Cute. xD

Ah right. It doesn't help sometimes when I'm the only one who contributes on the team. A couple times I had teammates with <200 px and even though I lost, I actually put more effort than they did

yeah... on an unrelated note, have you played a game called Splatoon? I'm not too good at it. I keep on getting splatted in multiplayer a lot despite covering a lot of ground. I feel I get too reckless there sometimes. :P

That'd be cool to see that in the next AC game. I honestly didn't hear anything good about the Amiibo festival game.
