It's going well here. A bit tired this evening but it's going well.

Yep! I've been trying to complete my museum and such. I did see HHD that I forgot to ask about it the other night. I wasn't paying attention and was in a rush.

Huh...makes me feel like people rush things over here a bit, given that most of my acquaintances graduated the same year I did (2011) and some of them have had kids since before then. Although I know a few people who just went straight into freelance photography or business and skipped the whole University thing. It just highlights to me how little I knew these people...or how unpredictable life can be. I didn't see myself doing what I'm doing now five years ago, at least.

Well, you've got lots of time to think about it...why bother this early in the year if you're not going until near the end of it? It'll get here when it gets here. Thinking about the future without a clear outline of said future is...painful. Frustrating? A mix of the two. Either way, it ruins the mood.

That's more or less it. Better exploration, inferior characterisation and, at the moment, plot. This is without a Skell and even setting foot in Cauldros as well, so I expect it'll only get better the more I play it. 30 hours isn't very long to sink into a game like this, after all. At the moment it's not even close t eclipsing Xenoblade in my eyes, though. It's long enough to February that I'm feeling every second, haha. There are three games coming out this month I will probably pick up, but those aren't for another two weeks either.
I expect it'll come out over here when Bravely Second comes out in the US or something...I honestly don't care, because I don't really like Fire Emblem. They don't usually let you pre-order special editions before a release is announced anyway. I doubt it'll be *that* popular over here, and unless it's a ridiculously limited run like Bayonetta 2 or something, there's usually stock available of these things. What's more perplexing is why no retailers have the Hyrule Warriors Legends special edition available for preorder when that DOES have a release date...meh. Nintendo are having a very bad run of things right now in my opinion with their announcements and releases, so I'm inclined to just ignore them until they can get their act together.

Just something to do in between the moments? I used to play a couple of games like that...now I just read comics or watch an episode of anime or something.

She can run, but she cannot hide. I know how most of the people I know in real life are doing thanks to Facebook, which I never use...except for one person I would love to get in touch with again, even though we've not spoken since we left school in 2006, which is a long time even for me to not speak to someone. I find it depressing; they're either in their chosen careers, travelling, or married with kids. I'm still doing what I did back when I knew them. xD

It's kinda hard to say if you don't use the knowledge you've gained in everyday life, really. University classes here are fairly relaxed, at least when compared to College, which is essentially two additional years of Secondary School studying what you want to, rather than doing crap you don't. Lectures with everyone, smaller seminar groups, both an hour long, once a week per subject. You're supposed to stick to the seminar group you're assigned to, but pretty much everyone swaps around to try and minimize their timetable gaps, aha. I usually went to morning ones so I could go home earlier, although in my third year I swapped one so I could have a five-hour gap between lectures to work on my dissertation...or chat with my colleagues and proof-read their dissertations, as it usually went. I also swapped a couple around so I didn't have to go in at all on certain days. No attendance (at least, not when I was at University, I think they've changed that for some courses) so you don't even have to go if you don't want to...I didn't see a couple of people at all outside of exams and revision lectures at the end of a semester. It's pretty fun, albeit stressful if you don't manage the workload, which of course you don't, because you go to University to put off going to work. xD
When you're sufficiently motivated, perhaps? A pressing reason always helps...after all, why suffer when you don't need to?

Well, I spent the end of the year platting Resonance of Fate - again - and Dungeon Travelers 2, which I literally just finished. XCX is occupying all my console time, and as for handhelds...I'm flitting. I don't know what I'm going to play yet because I haven't really decided, so I'm just starting a few things to see if one of them sticks. It's a long time to February 5th, after all.
Yes, having a New 3DS and not have Xenoblade is a grievous error you must rectify as soon as possible! I envy you getting to play that game for the first time. I might start it again somewhen soon...or pick up where I left off. That'd be more sensible, but I'm a completionist and I do enjoy the first half of the game, so who knows. Backlog is terrifyingly huge now though; I've only just started compiling a new backloggery but it has 25 PS Vita games alone. I wish I'd only bought 4 games between October and now, haha. I've been pre-purchasing stuff for February since November.
Neko Atsume? Sounds like Pocket Frogs...do you breed different coloured cats, etc? Those games are horrifyingly addicting when you've got nothing else to do. I loathe mobile gaming, but it does have its uses from time to time. My iPod is equipped with the metal version of Robot Unicorn Attack for bus rides, anyway.

I think it does it to most people. The more you talk to someone, the more you usually get to know them, after all. Different people just have different ways of reacting and coping with that. Your way is probably a lot healthier and more normal than mine is, aha. I found that friendships I made online I held in higher regard than those I had offline...but then, I used to fall out with people in school on a weekly basis, and arguing online doesn't happen quite as often. I'd like to think people I used to know are doing well also, although I've got my suspicions about a couple of them. Not knowing is infuriating sometimes, right?

Coursework is fun! Well, provided you don't have to give a presentation or do it in a group. But then, exams were never as bad (for me at least) as they seemed, even the 3 hour ones. Which do you prefer as a method of assessment?
In University here you have modules that you can pick as part of the course alongside the core ones, so I guess it's more or less the same thing.
Situational anxiety is a nuisance, overcoming it even more so, but I guess we all cope as best we can, right? Hopefully you'll figure something agreeable out so you'll be able to get around easily. Public transportation appears to be a nuisance the world over. The trains never run on time and cost a fortune (fares here have gone up by another 10% this year) and buses take long circuitous routes which can double your travel time. First World Problems, indeed.
76.4% of all statistics are made up.

I try not to get attached to people to the point that I'd miss them if they up and disappeared on me, aha. I only have one person I keep in touch with who I've known for longer than five years as well. It's ironic that it's so much easier to keep in contact with people these days thanks to the internet, yet it's even easier to drift away from them.

You can take majors in multiple subjects, right? That's similar to College here; it's in University where you pick one subject to specialise in. Working whilst in full-time education is horrendously stressful, indeed - I did weekends part-time during my first year at University and I lasted six months before I packed it in.
I should probably learn to drive as well, but yeah, it is a bit intimidating. The thought of being in a crash, breaking down in the middle of nowhere, fuel costs...cars are more trouble than they're worth if you can rely on public transport.

Mmm, I guess it all depends on what you're used to...I typically go months at a time without speaking to people, so a month for me is quite a short time. As you say, people come and go...I am often one of those people. xD

Well, if you're going back in Autumn, you have plenty of time to think about it, right? I forget how College works in the U.S., but I'm guessing you have plenty of options. I'd love to go back to University, although the tuition fees would ruin me, aha. Is cost a factor for you also?

Hey. It's not been so long, has it? A little over a month? Kinda short by my standards. xD

2016 has been better than 2015 thus far for me although considering how awful 2015 was that isn't saying very much. You?~
