Actually, my next chapter introduces...let's see...at least six more. I don't really know how I'm going to keep track of all these people. I guess I'll need a lot of sticky notes.

EDIT: Wow. That's what? Ren, Latias, Kairn, Latios, Griffith, Gengar, Eli, Torkoal, Gail, Absol, Venin, Cacturne, Tira, Tyranitar, Clave, and the newly-deceased Weavile? That's sixteen, plus another six...or actually another ten because I have four more characters to add eventually, so that's 26 characters. Granted, some are minor (actually just a little less than half are), and Weavile's gone, but that's still a lot.

Unrecognizable, huh? That makes me to wonder which characters will be featured in it (not that I need to know).

Okay. I was kind of hesitantly thinking-but-not-thinking that in the back of my mind.

And the second book, I think, will be almost completely unrecognizable as the sequel of the Eon Chronicles, at least what you've seen of them now. So much stuff happens between now and then that it's not even funny. I'm not laughing, at least.

A second book and a new element...sounds interesting.

EDIT: Mm. Must be rough. I feel for you. My sister monopolizes the computer from time to time to make writing impossible. Well, goodnight.

Yeah, I'm going to miss character chat. It breathed a bit of life back into the fanfiction area. Ah well...what's done is done.

And I can't even imagine what you're going to do with that chapter. My mind is going in a million different directions now. I personally have a hilarious scene planned for a bit from now that has something to do with one of the pictures in my album...that's all I'll say on that.

As for unsettling stuff, I think I might be taking the cake eventually. I have a second book planned after the E.C., and there's a very twisted plot element that is horrifying and heart-wrenching at the same time. It's not what you'd expect from a pokemon fanfiction, although I doubt you will be able to guess what it is. It's pretty out there, anyways.

EDIT: Feh. I need to get off the computer now...I've been limited to four hours a day. Trying to pound out this dang chapter is difficult. Maybe I'll work on it a little more in my notebook. Goodnight, I guess.

I think it is important to kind of have a balance, that kind of roller coaster. In a few chapters I have a scene planed that will be be a bit...unsettling, but in the end, I want readers to think something like "That was...cute." (I hope that Latias isn't here right now. lol)

Pity about that character chat. I did have a nagging feeling that it would get closed, but I didn't listen to it. I hate it when that happens. Your gut says one thing and your mind says another. Your gut is always right. You'd think I would have learned after a few times, but I don't.

I'll always have at least a small amount of light-heartedness in my fic. There's actually a fairly funny scene in the first part of this one. It helps to balance the mood of the story, and I would probably go crazy if I didn't implement that balance. Despite that, there are dreary times ahead. But there's also some awesome stuff that I've had a ton of fun coming up with. So it's really kind of a roller-coaster ride of emotions, sort of like real life I guess.

Yeah, I didn't understand the Scarecrow's appearance either when I first saw it. Thankfully, there's Wikipedia. Apparently, he was in the parking garage trying to sell his toxin to some Russian guys when a Batman impersonator dropped in. The real Batman comes, takes out the impersonator, and both parties run. Batman chases them, ties them up, and leaves them for the police to find. I guess it shows that the Scarecrow is locked up for good and that he won't be playing a part in The Dark Knight. That's what I think, anyways.

Walks do help. Bike rides for me, actually. I kind of feel that my fan fic is getting a bit...dark as well. However, there is a certain amount of light. Really bittersweet when I think about it more. Anxiety, emotion...it all kind of boils together.

They were a tad bland I suppose, but we were both fledgling writers back in the day and I guess neither of us caught that/minded. It will be interesting to see the re-written ones, though.

As for scarecrow...that was kind of weird. I was like wait...why did he make a cameo if they were just going to put him in jail? And I'm now really interested in knowing how the Joker really got his scars. That doesn't just happen.

In the realm of fanfiction, I just took a nice long walk in an attempt to break through some more dialog problems. I feel like I'm getting too dark/angsty with my story...but it's what flows onto the page when I write. It all makes sense, of course (I'm not intentionally going out of my way to make angst) but it still makes me wonder if I'm depressed or something. Which I'm not, but it's weird.

Now that I think about it, my characters have just been through a lot. The have some conflict in this chapter, most notably arguing/letting their anxiety get the better of them, which I suppose would be natural given the circumstances. But now I'm thinking I'm taking too long with this part XD. Gotta write...I'll check back here once in a while if you're on still.

Just thought I'd drop you a quick line. I may or may not have to go in a bit.

When I went back to edit One Latias for posting here, I realized that the first ten chapters or so were really...bland and that no amount of editing would do them justice. Therefore, they'll be rewritten. I'm almost finnished with Chapter 1 and so far, it's gone good, really good. I'm sure that it will be sufficient enough to lure potential readers in.

I also changed my avatar because I saw the Dark Knight yesterday. The Joker really did make sense and not make sense at the same time. I loved it how he had two or three different stories as to how he got his scars. My only real complaint is the fact that Dr. Crane/the Scarecrow appeared, then disappeared really quickly. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of him.

I really did notice that you upped the dialogue. I was impressed. Holding to that level will be the hard part, though, as I've learned.

Yeah, I don't blame you one bit for not reading it. Now if a new reader came in and skipped over it, I would be a little miffed.

And thank you. It was challenging to write, especially with the emotions. I had to rewrite the dialog several times. Even now, there are some parts that feel a bit unnatural. Still, I did my best.

Yes...massive summary. I took a chance and hoped that I remembered everything and skipped to near the end...I hope you don't mind that XD. I need to get off now, unfortunately, but I'll critique as soon as possible. It was a great intro, by the way.

EDIT: Or maybe I don't need to go offline. But I don't have the time to do an in-depth critique.

I should warn you though...it is a bit dry to start out with, being that the majority of it is a summary. Still, I think that it provides a good starting point.
