    What I do is go to the stores nearby and ask for an application. You don't live in the middle of nowhere, right? If there are stores nearby ask for applications. Granted you won't know for sure if they're hiring or not, but at least when they do start hiring your name could be brought up and you'll get a job and you'll thank me later too

    Surprising considering you live in New Jersey. The snow here is practically nonexistent, but it snowed pretty good here a few years ago. I remember being out for a week because of a snowstorm, and we had to have school extended to make up for it. We started class 15 minutes earlier and ended them 15 minutes later, and the 9weeks was more like 12 because that was how many weeks of school we lost from snow.

    New challenge: Job search before you reply to this

    Other than lack of job, college, or apparent social life, how is your day? :D
    My day consisted of eating, working out, and eating. Didn't even have school because it snowed like 1 cm in some parts. Best part of living in Tennessee is that that's enough for school to get closed. :D

    I got a friend that I've known since Kindergarten and we literally have nothing in common, yet I still find ways to talk to him. :P Find other people around New Jersey or something. Seeing as how you don't have a job or even go to college you should probably get a job/find a college before doing that.

    Get to it! Something has got to drive you to do so. Hell, search for a job before responding to this: that is my challenge for you!

    Once again, it's good to find someone else with social anxiety.

    Anyway, the best I can tell you is find someone willing to workout with you. Do you know anyone of your friends that's an avid weightlifter? Work out with him and ignore pretty much everyone when you start working out. Once your confidence boosts befriend the people there. What I do is purposely ask someone I'd like to know to spot me on a set so I can introduce myself when I'm done. That streak is still going and today I befriended like 6 people.

    What things do you need to get together? College? I don't know where you can find it, but my motivation is to look better and feel more confident - is there a better motivation out there?

    Yep, taking baby steps usually helps, but it might be good to make a huge leap every now and then.

    It's costly though, but so is getting a gym membership. Fortunately for most of my high school life I had the football weight room that was free to access and practically a second home. If you go to college they should have a weight room that students can access for free; I know the college here has it where it's 5 dollars as a guest, 40 as a member, and free as a student.

    Honestly I've never had a good diet. These past few weeks I've had the best diet I've ever had and its pretty much peanut butter, scrambled eggs, chicken nuggets, and protein shakes. I don't eat as much fruits and vegatables as I should but lately I've gotten an apple or fruit juice for lunch. Honestly the more you do it the easier it is to maintain it; like, I used to always eat junk food and I would eat a large pizza like every other day, but now with my diet I haven't had any urges to eat pizza and have actually avoided it.

    Point is, smart decisions leads to more smart decisions.

    I got to know the kind of person they are. If they're unusual themselves and don't get fazed out easily it's so much easier talking to them, but when they don't talk much or they're not interested in anything I like it's so much harder to talk to them. I mean I can talk about pretty much anything, or at least try. I don't like it when people aren't like that. :[

    I've also started to talk more in school. It's helped with my social anxiety a little; I'm breathing a little better now and I've had more conversations with girls. Still haven't had much success with more attractive girls but I'm making better progress than before. :p

    There's a shopping center close to my house as well, it's got Gamestop, Hibbett's Sports, and tons of other shops that cater to my need but sadly none of them are hiring. There's also a market here where I know like over half of its workers and yet they're not hiring either. So hard to get one these days ;;

    You might need a personal trainer or at least someone to motivate you. I was overweight for most of my life and girls have called me ugly in the past so I use that as motivation. 3 years later and I've made some pretty good results and I'm still motivated to work out. If you still resemble the guy in your photo album you're not that big so maybe getting bigger could motivate you?

    Yes! Glad to hear someone with similar problems (misery loves company, does it not?). With guys though it's like you say hi and you're pretty much set on being friends, but with girls it seems so much easier said than done. I don't know how other guys do it ;;

    And yeah, when I see a group of people, especially people I recognize but aren't exactly friends with, I get so anxious that my heart starts to race and I try to look straight ahead and everything.

    I did make it a goal to befriend someone every time I work out, and so far the streak has gone to about 9-10 workouts. I'm hoping to befriend as much people in the weight room, but it's so hard to talk to girls there. Most of them just run and I'm more of a weightlifter and I keep fearing that they're going to think I'm hitting on them or something when I'm just trying to be friendly around them.

    Yeah I got a lot to say. Feels good telling someone about this.

    I don't have a job either. It's so hard finding one these days, I've been asking several stores if they're hiring but no one is. :[

    Did you graduate last year? You still got time to apply somewhere, right? My college happens to be in the same town I live in so I'm pretty much set on college.

    You could workout! I've been a workout freak since I joined my old football team; I never even went outside other than go to school until like 3 years ago; it's given me something to do and it's worth it in the long run. Your decision though, just giving you a suggestion on what you could do.

    I also have some social anxiety that I want to fix before I graduate; I mean I can talk to people in real life but I'm always feeling uncomfortable, especially around the opposite sex. You ever felt that way?

    Good. Enjoying my three day holiday and going to go workout in an hour.

I made a new ask blog titled askcherrim. Someone with the canon Cherrim url followed my ask blog. I find out that person is none other than Lightning from here. This is too wild.

In three days time I'm going to be twenty years old, and whenever that thought crosses my mind it feels like my heart stops momentarily... It's such a weird thing to think about. It feels like being a teenager lasted forever (I guess six years of being in the "teen" ages went a bit slower than I thought). I honestly don't even feel like I'm going to be twenty; I still feel like I'm still seventeen or something with the mentality of a two- to five-year-old child. Add that with the physical limitations...

I realized that I never mentioned that the job I got back in May I ended up losing in July due to my own idiocy. couple more months of self-hatred and my mother and I arguing, and I finally got a new job! It's at the Shop Rite near me; I work outside pushing carts. I've been working there for about a month now already, and it's okay I guess. I mean, it's something, and it's not a difficult job, really. It's a huge pain in the ass, though, of course, what with all the customers that seem to be in...
