Sorry it was this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=z7x01qxwOqU#t=230s

And it doesn't matter if people generally don't make the connection. The fact is is that, by being there, it makes it more fun if you do get it, or if you discover it later. I can't think of a good example for what I mean at the moment but,

Tl;dr: I think references and tie-ins are awesome.

I think they work fine like that, and the "is thrashing about" is a reference to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKnCBwsa-bU

I do. It's fun making it, but it's more fun when people are affected by the game, when it's good enough for them to play/watch it over and over and still say "wow that was so cool! I really like how it built up to that" or something. That's what I'm going for.

Well, I'm gonna try to make and release a preview tonight for Hyetology. Hopefully it gets people hyped/encourages commenting while I work on completing the game.

It does mean a thing. Infractions are meant to tell you what not to do so you don't get banned. Considering it's for the same offense, it's ridiculous to be infracted twice, and by the same guy.

But anyway, Progressing Hacks is a dead forum, or something. (Only AshGray gets posts because there's so many anime episodes that the game will never end.) It suuuuuucks

    I got 3 infractions for a post.
Ten minutes later I get another 3 for a post I had made before even being infracted. I couldn't have known/avoided that, and there were no warnings.

Well, I don't mind infractions if I EARN them. The first one was legit, but then that mod gave me more for another post I made before I even got infracted in the first place. That was stupid.

Yeah duh I did it on purpose.

Why does everyone have an "Emblems" tab and I have an "Infractions" one, LOL

Actually it worked out very well. I was able to do 90% of what I wanted with maps, new buildings being the only exception. I'm all done with mapping, so I can safely say that using non-permanent palettes allows you to use many different grass styles, while also being able to reuse things like sand/dirt pathways. It's easier if you see for yourself.

Well it's the way I made the game:
Palette 1-5 is for basic stuff. Water, beach, basic houses, Gyms, mountains, trees, etc.
Palette 6 is for sand pathways/grassy mountain stuff.
Palettes 7-11 are free. Used for roads/bricks/houses/some flowers/special cases (several times I need to make special palettes otherwise tiles would have the "null" glitchy blackness. Hard to explain)
Palette 12 is for grass, trees, and those greenish pathways.

It's kinda disorganized, but plans change, and you can't go back and fix everything. Plus using palettes in this way offers a lot of variety in the terrain.

The post count was reduced? Wow, shows how much I've been here recently.

Aaaaanyway, what I wanted to blog about, I'm considering making a video game review series on YouTube, whether it will happen or not is another thing, but I plan on at least doing something on my YouTube channel in the next few days, so I thought I'd just say:

I love Chameleon Twist (the N64 game), and I'm not afraid to say it!

Now I can endlessly mock it as I am unbiased.
