Wan't there an old, really tough Zelda game? I don't recall...

I've been playing for years, so I've had plenty of practice with multi-tasking. I keep telling myself my addiction'll pay off irl someday, even though I know that's not true.

    Graphic design? I can't even draw a decent-looking flower :P

Typography? (Answers your...wait, ypou didn't actually ask a question.)

I didn't say I was good, just that I play them. My stunning online record for Warcraft, in the brief time I played, was 0/3.

Besides the normal online games, you can play "custom games" which still use the Warcraft game, but the gameplay is completely changed (in most cases). DOTA is one of the most famous types of Custom Games, though I only played it once, and my team was apparently so inept we lost within the first few minutes. I didn't even have time to figure out was I was supposed to be doing.

Oh, no. You have no idea.l There are games, mainstream games, where the AI would tear all but the godliest of players apart. Perfect Dark is a prime example, with the elite AI opponenets doing things that are almost impossible for a human to do (I use almost because I watched old-school tournament footage of human players putting the elites to shame....WITHOUT the use of cheats.)

DOTA? Oh, Dawn of the Ancients, the online thing, right?

Aw, now I feel unoriginal. Oh, well. I can get so immersed in a game taht I tend to miss important things. AKA my house on fire.

A book I've heard of maybe?

LOL. I know you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, and don't care, but...when in a medievil strategy game, it helps to have your ranged units add a teensy arc to their shots. It doesn't do you a whole lot of good to shoot a wall of arrows into the back of your own troops. Conclusion: AI=horrible with archers.

    ...I'm not quite sure.

Me, I get pretty immersed in a game. I actaully feel like I take on the role of the character, and the adventure in the game's universe is my own. I think of sides and extras as jsut that- extras. If there's actually some benefit to it, like, say, killing all of these really obscure baddies nets you a new, cool weapon, that I go ridiculosuly out of my way to do it. But if it's just for funsies, I usually don't do it...unless I'm getting bored with the gameplay. After several hours of the same game, it starts to get stale on me, and I spend less time doing what I should and more time screwing around. Again, a very unhealthy habit for WoW.

Or at least that's how it should be. It wasn't with WoW. I just...never really got into it. Which is ironic, because I'm a huge Warcraft fan (too bad I suck at it lol).

I never really saw it like that. In fact, I was fully aware that it was a game pretty soon after I started, so that probably should've been a clue that I was losing interest, but, eh, I'm not exactly what you'd call bright.

Don't worry about the dork thing. hell, sometimes you just can't resist. I recall in one BG a Troll Lock got the brilliant idea to make a suicide run for the flag. Then, when he died, his teammates apparently decided "screw tactics! Let's all do what that guy jsut did!" and charged the flag room en masse. It was a slauhgter, and I was in stitches the entire time we massacred their asses XD I think I had my fair share of one-liners, but unfortunately, none come to mind.

Oh, oh, and another time, I was playing MGO (Metal Gear Online). I fell off a roof by accident, and landed on and killed Snake, giving my team the win. OH, and I also died from the fall. You should've heard the post-game laughter that came from my team, and the swearing that came from the other team+Snake. IT was such a rare moment, I didn't even have a one-liner. OH, did I mention Snake was in a box when I landed on him?

Hey, what do you feel about WoW? I mean, like, what do you think of yourself playing it? Like, that whole Hero-who's-tale-is-being-told thing?

Sorry for the lack of typing lol.

Alright, alright. Truth be told, I never really enjoyed grouping either, but I did it because everyone around me pressured me into it. I guess after doing it so long, it's assimilated itself into my playing style. Well, my old playing style. Point is, before my family pushed me into Guilding, Bg's, etc...it just became natural to me. Actaully, that does bring something to mind; how many people, like friends and family, do you know who play?

Sorry if I'm bugging you, but what's got you so down today?

IS that the highest you've gotten? I mean, not counting DK's?

Yeah, Battlegrounds. They can actually be really fun, when your team isn't loaded with incompetent douches. You're a Warrior, right? Tanks are in high demand at higher levels, so once you get up there, it might be worth it to try a Herioc instance. Then again, you might not enjoy that sort of thing.

Ah, it's all right. It was a quite day, anyway. In truth, I kind of prefer it that way. I'm waiting for Sweet to get on today; she was on yesterday, but I missed her, and she didn't know.

So, moving on, how's classes going so far?

Just thought I'd share with the nice folks here all the places you can find me and my art across the internet. There are treasures of all sorts that don't make it into my thread or even my deviantART gallery.

My Sketch Blog - for WIPs, doodles, projects, and other miscellaneous art stuff. If you want to see sneak peeks of stuff I'm working on or random doodles that will otherwise never see light, check it out!

So it seems I've been gaining a bit of recognition for my pixel prowess these days. I've also decided to make this blog more of an art blog since I really don't have much to actually blog about here, and it'll be a good place to get my work posted here without the disappointment of dead threads.

Anyway, I'm starting off my showcases with a quick trip through my time as a pixel artist, from the humble quasi-pixels of 2003 to the contest-winning pieces of 2010. My memories of a lot...

So you all know that PC's got an art section, and perhaps you all know how it's faring.

I thought I'd take a bit to analyze the situation and dissect things that are probably obvious anyway. It is something I do a lot, after all.

Let's look at the nature of PC itself:
  • It's a discussion forum, which means that words and text are arguably the focus rather than pictures.
  • On the same note, PC being a forum automatically allows it to lean its imagery focus towards forum-related

Haha, I guess I might as well start one as if my posts in the actual forums don't have enough text in them

Uhh... Haven't got much to say at the moment. I have class in the morning? I was an idiot yesterday and made yet another art thread for God knows what purpose, lol. I like watching things die. No, not really. I do like talking to myself, though. But y'all are welcome to come by and join in :3

I'mma prolly use this blog to ramble aimlessly or to contemplate life...
