As long as you're happy. Your parents are separated then?
That's surprising, they're not picky at all where I was, I have been volunteering since I was fifteen. But I suppose an age limit is reasonable.
Sure did. I haven't gotten a good feel of the place yet, but so far it seems very similar to where I used to live. Which I hated. But the change in surroundings is nice, and it's much closer to the city, which I'm hoping to work my way into.

I can see why those would trouble you, especially schooling, where there's a bit of pressure involved. (Tests and deadlines have always intimidated me.) At least your anxiety isn't holding you back from getting a basic job, though...so that's good. What aspect of your life is your dad trying to control, education?

I volunteered at animal shelters where I used to live, but I just moved so I'm not very familiar with my surroundings yet. There is a Goodwill very close by, so I've been helping out there.

Eep, that definitely puts a strain on things. Sorry to hear that. Have you sought treatment for your anxiety?
I have the option of loafing around and doing nothing, but I'd much rather be busy. I'm hoping to score a job off the volunteer work I've been doing.

Same here. I've just been volunteering locally, planning on furthering my education at an Art Institute next year or something. I haven't been too worried about it, I'm kind of just letting the chips fall where they may.
What happened with college, if you don't mind me asking?

My primary interest is astronomy, though I've been looking forward to becoming a zoologist since...I don't know, birth.
Do you have any particular career ambitions?

Ha, I'm exactly the same way. I'm specifically notorious for dropping out of plays. Practice is boring and repetitive, any form of monotony makes me go stir-crazy.
Argh, I don't know anyone who genuinely finds science interesting. I guess I'm just easily fascinated. There's so much beauty in the machinery of nature, it drives me crazy that it's so overlooked by my acquaintances.

A few months? That's some real perseverance to me, my drive never lasts more than a week. *Envies*
History is always interesting, I don't know anyone irl who feels the same about that. Biology triumphs as my favorite school subject, though.

I'm more of a useless facts person, though I have this ridiculous ambition to ascertain infinite knowledge of everything ever. Like one week I'll be studying Greek literature in hopes of becoming a Greek lit expert, then I'll develop an interest in the study of human consciousness or something. I wish I could settle on learning one specific subject.

Oh, lulz. I was thinking the free-jazz electronica guy. :/ I was wondering how that related to Art Zoyd.
I'll resort to Wiki on this one, I'm not much of a music history buff.

RIO as in R.I.O.?? Thanks for reminding me to add that to my discog list. (How impossible is that going to be to find...I can just picture piles of Duran Duran files pervading my computer screen.)

Well, I very recently grew a wild hair and decided to actually use Last.fm. So the last few days I've been putting my torrent collection to good use popping in CDs and doing what people with Last.fm profiles normally do. @ bolded/largely-fonted Art Zoyd: They are pretty superb, glad we're on the same page
