I thought it might have been you because of the lol at the end. I'm going to take that as a yes :)

Anyway, my mid-years went alright, I'm sure you were worried sick. Yes, I'm doing this - I just had to beat your two-month VM response time by taking fifteen months and definitely didn't just look at our conversation history and realise that I've completely forgotten to respond to you over a year ago.
Anyway, I had a listen to And So I Watch You From Afar. Overall, I don't like them but there are definitely some parts of some of their songs which I really like, and aspects of their music. It just sounds a little too metal-y for me (that's in a I-don't-like-the-tone-on-the-guitars way, not in an all-metal-is-automatically-gay way). So yeah.. mainly the guitar tones I guess, although at times the drums are a little.. simple, which usually I've got no problem with but in math rock cool drums is one of the aspects I enjoy the most. But if you're actually interested in which bits I like and don't like - the part from 1.40 to 2.15 in
this song are awesome, especially the drums but especially everything else too. After that point I would like it if it weren't for the drums playing such a drum machine-esque beat. So definitely good aspects but the bad outweigh the good for me.
Speaking of metal-y sounding math rock - I was going to link you to this metal-y sounding song by a math-rock band called LITE but then I realised that Ghost Dance is much better so yeah, click
here. You may not like it, the main complaint people have is that it's too repetitive. I don't want to bombard you with Youtube videos (actually I do but I'll refrain) so this is the last one. Same band, newer stuff and it sounds a lot like Battles. I don't like Battles personally but they have good aspects in their music and that's what I picked up on this song a lot (it sounds a bit like their song Tonto), so I thought you might like it. The Battles part happens a bit later than 2.25 but it'll just sound weird without the build-up, so if you don't want to listen to the whole thing start from there.

But there - finally that's the reply. Thanks for waiting :D
And I officially forfeit the 15 month record as of now, just in case you were planning on beating it.
