Yeah. You'll be able to customize the "defeat message" depending on which trainerbattle type you use (0x0, 0x1, etc). For example, not allowing the trainer to say anything or the opposite.

I decided to drop by your home page instead of writing in your thread since the original question was answered. It sounds like you got the idea of how the "lose but still have something happen" scenario. I think I'm going to demonstrate the implementation of the idea in a video sometime within the next week or two. It's an interesting feature and I think it would benefit a lot of story progressions if it was exemplified in a video.
Anyway I digressed. Just wanted to say if you'd like to see an example or two, they'll exist in the video series soon!
