In playing Smash, I can say Link usually wins. Plus, Link will always come back, but Clood has only one life to live...

As much as I like Cloud, I voted Link, simply because he appears in so many many more games and has saved Hyrule more times than Cloud has saved Gaia ;) Plus I think Link is a little more memorable and less polarizing of a character than Cloud is.
