Welcome to the Video Games forum, adventurer! Similar to Post-A-Thon challenges we've had in the past, the intention of this "game" is to boost activity and reward users for frequenting the forum, but with a few fun RPG elements added.

Unlike your typical Post-A-Thon, there will not be an end date to the event; this will be an ongoing adventure for regulars of the Video Games forum, and you can always return to keep growing your character!

GETTING STARTED

All you need to do to begin is to pick a class - copy the template under your chosen hero, give them a name and post it in this thread; you will keep editing your first post here to keep track of your character's progress. There can be more than one of the same class, so if someone's picked your favorite, you can still choose it for yourself.

Be sure to copy the entire code/don't accidentally copy more than what's in your box - I realize I made the boxes a bit too small and it makes copying a little difficult, but the page looks neater this way. :P

EXP & LEVELING UP

Your hero starts at level 1, and for every 10 EXP you gain, you will level up!

VIA POSTING

For each post or thread you make on the Video Games forum, you will gain 2 EXP.
For each post you make in the DCC, you will gain 1 EXP.

VIA EVENT PARTICIPATION

WEEKLY ARCADE
- For earning 1st place, you will gain 25 EXP.
- For earning 2nd place, you will gain 20 EXP.
- For earning 3rd place, you will gain 15 EXP.

WEEKLY TRIVIA
- For each question you answer correctly per set, you will gain 1 EXP.
- For getting the entire set right, you will gain an additional 15 EXP.

As more events crop up, there will be more event-related ways to earn EXP; keep your eyes peeled!

OTHER THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

Please don't make spammy topics and posts just for the sake of leveling up - I won't specify any hard rules on what qualifies as "spam" unless I feel I have to, but I trust your judgment and that you will know what the difference between meaningful discussion and post-farming is.

GOLD SYSTEM AND SHOPS

If you've made a few posts around the place, chances are you have some gold jingling in your pockets already! Here's where you spend it on various weapons and vanity items. You earn gold the same way as EXP:

VIA POSTING

For each post or thread you make in the Video Games forum, you will earn 5.
For each post you make in the DCC, you will earn 2.

VIA EVENT PARTICIPATION

WEEKLY ARCADE
- For earning 1st place, you will earn 20.
- For earning 2nd place, you will earn 15.
- For earning 3rd place, you will earn 10.

WEEKLY TRIVIA
- For each question you answer correctly per set, you will earn 2.
- For getting the entire set right, you will earn an additional 20.

And again, future events will offer more opportunities to earn gold! The items offered here will be little cosmetic changes that will distinguish you from others of the same class.
