Story:

In the year 2022 the virtual reality helmet, NerveGear, is invented. With this helmet users will be able to control their in-game character with their minds and experience gaming on a new level. It is also the same year that the new Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) is released, Sword Art Online. Many beta-testers have tested this game before it was brought on the market and they were very excited about it. There are only 10.000 copy's of the game and 1000 are given away to the beta-testers for free.

On November 6, 2022, all 10.000 gamers found out that the log-out button had dissapeared. The reason behind this glitch was revealed on that same day when everyone was transported to an unknown location on the first floor of the game and were informed by an unknown man in a robe. This man turned out to be Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of Sword Art Online. Kayaba told the players that if they wished for freedom then they had to beat the boss on the 100th floor. There was one condition, everyone's levels were resetted to 1 and if they happened to die within the game then their real brains would be fried by the NerveGear. Kayaba Akihiko gave everyone a gift at the end of his speech, this turned out to be an item called "Hand Mirror" and turned everyone into their real life appearences, height and weight included. At the beginning of the game the NerveGear detected your real life appearence and that's why such a thing could happen.

Around 2000 players died in the first month due to reckless acting and disbelief in Kayaba's words. Players created guilds to explore the dungeons. There are a few lead guilds and lots of small ones but everyone has the same goal: Reaching the 100th floor and win the game.

There are guilds who have been doing criminal things like murder and robbing. The ones murdering are called "Player Killers" and must be arrested as soon as possible because if they kill players in the game they kill them in real life as well. There are some Solo-players as well but there is a limit for Solo-playing as the bosses become to strong for them at a certain point.

There are also players being called "beaters". It's a name made from two words "cheaters" and "beta-testers". Beta-testers are being looked down at and mostly hated because lots of players see them as the reason that a lot of players are died already.

"They could've shared the information that they have with us!"

You:

You are one of those 10.000 players who was able to get one of the copies of Sword Art Online. You are either a beater, a normal player or a PK'er (Player Killer). You have played the game a few times before the log-out button dissapeared and know a little bit about how the things works. The beaters know more about the game than the normal players and PK'ers, however.

You are in the game for one months now so you certainly had the time to level up, create skills and to find out about your sword arts. Sword Arts can be unlocked by every 10 levels and you start with two, you can have up to six Sword Arts. You gain levels by defeating monsters or getting experience points in quests. The GM's decide when you gain a level untill they found a proper level system.

Player killers are only able to kill in battles. Normally the battle ends once one of the battling players HP hits the yellow zone, but player killers are able to keep attacking until the player dies. Player killers can also sleep kill, this means that when a player is sleeping outside the safety zone the player killer can send a battle request to the player and make him accept it by making the players finger touch the "accept" button. Safety zones are towns, villages etc.

You have a screen name and a real name. In the game only your screen name is shown and it's your own choice if you want to tell someone your real name. You all start with basic equipment and you're able to get new clothes once you finish quests or killed a boss monster.

> Boy's starters equipment

> Girl's starters equipment

Marriage System:

Sword Art Online has a marriage system, this is only in-game ofcourse. When two people really love each other they can choose to marry, this just means that you'll share an inventory together. So when you obtain a certain item, your Wife/Husband is also able to equip it, sell it or trade it. This is just a matter of trust though.

You can also marry when you don't love each other and are just friends, but people will always assume that you love each other. When couples choose to marry they can get the wedding ring in a quest that will be set up by the GM's, usually the men are the ones able to do this quest so that they can propose to their girlfriends. Woman are also able to propose but... c'mon! let's keep things traditional!

The Unique skills only appear in the list when someone has received the skill through PM.

Magic doesn't exist in Sword Art Online and the limit of skill slots is 12.

Skills may be leveled up to 1000 to be concidered mastered, everyone starts with skill level 1. Extra skills are locked untill the GM's inform everyone that they have been enabled. Some Extra skills can be enabled in quests.

Some skills are explained to prevent misunderstandings, not every skill is explained though, if you don't understand one then feel free to get information about it from the GM's unless there are players who can explain them well enough.

Character: Fester (Khalil Withrow real name)
Age:20
Country: United States
Male
Normal Player (Though a hardcore grinder, may be confused as a beater)

Appearance: Khalil in real life is mixed, standing at 5"11 and is quiet fit. He has a shaved head and sometimes twitches whenever he is excited. He wears mixed armor, reflecting his random personality. He has a insane smile engraved upon his face, looking crazed and is visually deterring. His attitude and aura makes him seem like an apathetic player, while his smile and fitness level makes him look like a PKer. He carries a one handed curved sword as a weapon.

Personality:Khalil is an empathetic psychopath, reframing himself from killing players but brutally killing monsters and never holding back in a dual. Ever since the lock in, Khalil has been lost to insanity and many know of it. He sincerely thinks that life is a game and the game is still just that, a game and resorts to killing every monster he sees. Deep down in his twisted mind he knows that things are real, but he'd rather die killing everything in sight then going down trying to survive. He is also a grinder, focusing on cooking what he kills for the thrill, he no longer cares what happens to him or anyone else, he sometimes lures noobs out of the city to see how long they last for his own laughs, killing the monster thats killing them before they die. (He will still help kill a boss as long as he isn't restricted.)

Life before SAO: Khalil was an accountant in a cramped office building owned by his deceased dad before he join SAO, he had a high status in his company and lived alone, though he was very bored with life. Him and his only friends managed to get copies of the game, all of them being best friends. They had played many MMOs before and SAO seemed like the best they had seen. They each went home, (his friends lived with their family) and began their journey. Khalil hoped to have a more exciting life. (I actually want to keep the rest of this secret)

Current Level: 12
Non-Combat Skills: Cooking
Passive: Detection
Combat: Tracking
Weapon Skills: One Handed Curved Blade
Sword Art: Fester's sword and sheath gives off a grey aura, and he stands with his sword sheathed on his side. He then dashes forward, unsheathing the sword and slashing three enemies in front of him.

Summary of first month in Aincrad: (If this rp isn't a month or sa after, then this section is what is to come and his level will be adjusted accordingly)
-Him and his friends read the guide compiled by the beta-testers.
-They spent all of the first day grinding, then entered the city for the spectacle.
-Both of Khalil's friends were forcibly disconnected and killed, Khalil thinks nothing of it
-After hearing about the death count, and seeing the news report it dawns on Khalil that his friends are gone.
This would be in the first few days, and would be his history, while below would be his to-do list

-Khalil realizes that he has nothing to go back to and snaps, he denies that real life exists. He can't figure out what reality is real, so he treats the game as life but plays it like a game.
-Khalil only allows people to call him by his character name: Fester
-Khalil is invited to the guild Laughing Coffin after slaughtering ruthlessly, he declines and outmatches their leader.
-Khalil spends weeks grinding, leveling, and raising skills. He assisted in the defeat of all but the most current boss (where he had slept in and missed the whole thing, sending him on an monster killing rampage.)
-Khalil has inadvertently killed five players due to his rampages, preventing them from having monsters to kill and level.
-Khalil has a lot of money from cooking for noobs and selling trash from mobs, he uses it to buy more cooking ingredients if he is in the city but normally he has enough to cook with so he just owns a lot of money.
-Khalil does not acknowledge the fact that the other people in the game are real and believes them to be advanced AI, and believes that he can not kill them (so he doesn't waste energy trying)

(After he snaps, Khalil is called Fester and that is what I'll call him IC, this would be a post that explains the first few days, not the actual first post)
Fester awoke the day after the chaos, having camped in an alleyway. He stood up mind lost and began to laugh maniacally, "What should I kill today, boars, rats, maybe I can kill people. No no no, people can't be hurt by me, and I can't cook people in this game. No I can't." He looked around fidgeting, unable to keep still, "I can't take all this waiting, there are so many animals that are waiting for me to kill and eat, or maybe kill and sell." He pulled over a random player who happened to walk by and held the boy's shoulders. "Hey you, I need to kill, what should I kill? I can't decide." The player looked confused, "You're right I can just kill so many of everything it won't matter, thanks pal I bet you were programmed to help me." Then Fester skipped off happily, doing a chant about how to cook the animals.

Out in the wilderness Fester was having a ball, hardly using his sword skill. He had already killed enough to level again and was killing so fast he was almost able to keep up with spawn rates. Other players could only kill far away from where he was, afraid that he may be a player killer. One player came up to Fester and asked as much only to get a twitchy response, "You know, I can't kill players in a one player game, is that some sort of trick question? Are you a sphinx incognito? If so then I will slay you where you stand." The player was naturally terrified, but Fester just laughed, "I can't believe how well programmed they made you guys. You really looked scared." Fester walked away fidgeting and rambling, "Those NPCs are all so well programmed, I bet it took days to make them, maybe even months for one, and I can kill them in less than an second this is so great!" The players decided not to mess with him.

He spent the next day going around trying to force his wares on players, "The one that buy them are always hiding in these useless one gah!" Eventually one player did in fact want to buy some of his food, though the player had also not known who Fester was. "Oh great, you wanna buy my food? How much, all of it or most of it? I need to kill more don't I, how stupid can I be."

The player looked confusedly at Fester and obviously didn't know what this man was babbling on about. The player was of about twenty years and a female, though Fester wouldn't have cared if it was his own mother, why would he when the whole game is full of NPCs and he is the only player. "Uh, sir exactly how strong are you?"

"Why do you not want my food? I can't stay if you don't, all of this killing will go to waste and I'll have to kill more, adding more to the waste. You're going to make me waste kills." He grabbed his head and squeezed it tightly, annoyed by the paradox, "I thought AIs were the ones who couldn't handle paradoxes." His eyes widened and he perfectly froze, "I must be an AI," He shook his head violently, "No no it is a trick, to make you think you're an Npc so you can, uh."

The girl laughed, "Uh okay, I'm not a NPC, and--"

"Why would they waste time programming these people to say that, it is so wasteful. Maybe they want you to feel like your playing with other players, yes that's the most logical thing." He was rambling again, but the girl really didn't know if he was still listening, not wanting to get interrupted again, she spoke fast.

"Look I'm not very good at video games, Ive been stuck in this town since the lock in and I don't want to die, I'll buy your food but can you help me get to the last floor?" She hoped he would help.

"An escort quest? And someone that buys my food? That is so awesome, I can't wait, so what are the requirements of this quest exactly? Do I have to kill everything between here and the top floor?"

She didn't realize it would be this easy, the man was a complete fool, or maybe just insane. "Just keep me alive, and don't maybe we can help other players, er NPCs."

"I guess we can, but I don't know... Oh my name is Fester, but I just call myself Fester, you know. I think you should be called Rose or Violet or Flow because NPCs always have lame names and I'm sure you will respond to one of those."

"But my name is Kayla..."

"Well that isn't a very fantastical name is it? No Flow, or Violet, or Red because flowers are always names of females in games and such, or is it never..." He began to ramble again and eventually settled for Rose, "But I may change it later so don't get confused when I do. I'll accept this quest, how exactly do I do that?"

"You mean you got to your level just by killing?!"

"There is another way? I thought quests were optional, how silly of me." Regardless Kayla sent a friend request and a group invite, generally scaring Fester, though he got over it fairly quickly. "First we must feast! Because I wish to eat, and you have also wished to eat, and feasting is what they do in games like this. Or was it movies like this..." He walked off abruptly, Kayla following him, sure that she could easily manipulate him.

William Danielson//Godot, 25 Year Old Male Lv. 15 Player from the USA

Biography

Appearance

William has dark brown skin and jet black hair that comes down just above his thin eyebrows. His eyes are wide and dark brown, and his skin is rather smooth. He stands at about 6 feet, but he's only about 130 pounds. In combat, he wears Gray Light Chainmail Armor concealed by a somewhat expensive tan coat that fortifies speed, as well as a pair of black leather pants. Outside of combat his attire varies, but he can often be seen wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt and the closest things to dark jeans he could find to cover his thin yet rather well built character. He carries his equipped sword at the left side of his waist, usually lighters swords (and initally a katana called Mammon's Fang) and at his right he carries two satchels, one carrying bait and the other carrying stones (to perform ranged Arts with). Granted, the latter two could be accessed from the menu, but he gains faster access to them when they are equipped to his person.

Personality

Prior to SAO, William was a well-rounded character that had something of a dull atmosphere around him, as if he were tired of life and wanted it known. Granted, he was quite lively around friends, but he was never truly sure whether the "him" that he was around his friend was his true self or simply someone created for the sake of making friends, a persona born from the fear of being alone. He was also quite the philosopher, which was truly the driving force between his interest in developing games. Philosophy shaped his morals, his social patterns, his decisions, and his interests; philosophy was William's life. Coincidentally, it was gaming that brought on his interest in philosophy. While William wasn't exactly a somber individual, he wasn't much of a socialite, and most of his friends were people he knew from school growing up. He's always been an ambitious individual, but he's always needed some sort of motivation or inspiration to truly be dedicated to a task, otherwise he became paradoxically unproductive.

Upon entering Sword Art Online, his personality didn't so much change as it did renew. He no longer needed to worry about taxes or work or finding a job, he was presented a new life with new problems. He became far more lively and exuberant, eager to take on the new world that he had been thrust into. He was enticed by the vast number of skills, and quickly set out to create a character that was well rounded in terms of them. He likes to fight, and because he doesn't believe there is truth in the words of Kayaba, as well as the fact that he doesn't fear death, he often takes on creatures of higher levels than himself. He can be overly cautious when it when it comes to others, generally disregarding his own life for the sake of theirs. This isn't because of some do-gooder attitude or because of some overzealous tendencies; rather, it's because he knows that most of the others in the game do fear death, and fear is easily the strongest and most terrifying emotion, Godot feels.

In the beginning, Godot sought to pick skills that would help him to level faster and broaden his skill sets. If was a no-brainer for him as far as weapon choice and initial skills, he'd always been one for Speed-based weapons, though he had a paradoxical interest in heavy swords. He believes that defense is the greatest offence and that offence can be a great defense, but he believes that speed is the greatest mix of both, offering the best of both worlds if utilized correctly. He's a very confident fighter, foolishly so sometimes. He even goes as far as to fight with his bare hands sometimes. What's more, because of his emphasis on speed, he prefers aestheticism over efficiency, and this was something he often did with Action games. If he doesn't like how something looks enough then he might just outright ignore it or, more likely, sell it.

He probably would have reached level 15 quickly if it weren't for the other activities in the game. In fact, a few of his levels were gained simply because of Life Skill-based quests. He might take active part with them more than the skills that he had a mastery of. He loves to cook, and he makes it known. He keeps a healthy supply of uncooked food and a number of books on cooking because of the vast variety and customizability of the food of SAO. He had something of a dream to make a sum of money and amass enough money to buy a house with a real stove. It was far off, but he was dedicated on that point. He also tried his hand at Forging...which was rather difficult given he had no mastery of the skill. Rarely did things go well, which often had him running back and forth between mining spots and towns to make suitable items due to multiple failures. It was much the same with alchemy, though gathering that was much less of a chore since he would often just pick up herbs as he went along, he wasn't too big on alchemy, anyway.

History

A silent observer, William has never exactly been thrilled with life. Sure, there was always philosophy and psychology there to keep interested in the way the world worked, but that never stopped him from wanting for more. This would sum up his early life, just like many other teens. He saw life as incredibly mundane. It had potential for excitement but never followed through, at least, not to the point where that excitement would last. Even the things that were meant for the sake of making life less mundane seemed duller and duller as the days went on. Television wasn't interesting to him, anymore, so the only portal he had to a more interesting world was video games. Books were an option, but he always found something interesting about a definitive objective aestheticism that books often didn't have. The characters in the games were not William, and he knew this. He would often do things to stretch the theoretical nature of "what if", and it was really the diversity of these games and the contrast to real life that essentially made them so interesting to him. William's interest in gaming inevitably grew to the point where he pursued a career in them right out of college, he started working for a small time indie game company called Developers Inc. For a time, it was nice. The designers were creative and their ideas were fantastic, yet in not even half a year's time William again became grounded in reality when they were given an ultimatum by a monopolizing publisher and were forced to declare bankruptcy. Thus, William was jobless. His days thereafter were filled with searching for jobs, filling out job applications, and watching crappy shows that he didn't care for.

Then, one day, while searching the internet, a colorful ad appeared at the top of his browser. It read "Sword Art Online, a fantastic Virtual Reality Adventure awaits you!". William was never quick to open MMO ads, but he was so depressed that he seem to give himself a choice in the matter. He clicked the ad and was thrust into a colorful webpage which had the URL "http://www.SwordArtOnline.com". The presentation was quite nice, and he looked over various tabs and videos detailing exactly what the game was. Lucky enough, he was able to find a copy of the game at his local retailer; it was a lone copy, it most likely wasn't sold since it lay on the floor, unnoticed. Upon returning home, William quickly set the game up and placed himself into the world that is Sword Art Online.

Other Information

The Tale of Alistair

On the fourth day after arriving in Aincrad, Godot made his first friend, Alistair. Alistair, at that point, was a level 8 who level-ground against dungeon bosses using a unique skill that allowed him to revive once per day. It was broken, but it was an essential skill in helping advance to higher floors. Alistair noticed the level 3 Godot and decided to take Godot to one of the high level dungeons to boost his level so he would be able to not only survive dire situations, but to also allow him to gain more materials from the wild safely. It was dangerous, but Alistair gave him plenty of healing items and swore that he'd protect him, so Godot reluctantly agreed to go along. The two created a party and set forth towards a level ten dungeon which, oddly, was devoid of any monsters at all. The path they walked was narrow and long, with seemingly no end in sight. Then, a loud whistling sound could be heard in the distance. Noting this, Alistair motioned for Godot to be quiet and to stop moving. Godot complied, and the two simple stood in motionless silence for a few moments, until finally a gigantic anchor fell from the ceiling and destroyed one side of the path, and another anchor promptly dropped from the opposite side, leaving the two isolated on a synthetic path. Then, from above came a wyrm. The wyrm swooped down and clawed at Alistair, nearly killing him and almost causing him to fall off of the edge of the island. Godot made quick to heal him, and then quickly made to teleport out of the dungeon. Much to his disappointment, however, teleportation items did not seem to work. The wyrm started towards Godot as if to claw him, but Alistair parried and cut off one of the toes of the beast. The wyrm screeched in pain, and when it made its round it opened its great jaws to dismember and digest the chivalrous knight, but he wouldn't have that. After toying with his menu for a split-second, Alistair pulled out a rather ornamented Great Hammer, and just as the wyrm came close, he brought down the hammer with a mighty force unto the wyrm's head. However, being in its direct path, he was unable to stop it completely, and he clung the the wyrm's head as the two went hurtling into the deep chasm below.

Godot called out to Alistair in desperation, but there was no response. He unsure what to make of the situation, but he felt a great grief at the thought that Alistair may have died. He peered over the edge, but could see nothing in the vast darkness that lay below. He quickly opened his menu and then went to the "Friends" subcategory, promptly clicking Alistair's name. However, in place of a mapped location was the phrase "Area Unknown", and Godot didn't know what to make of that in terms of life or death, especially in terms of a character with a unique ability such as Alistair's. Hundreds of thoughts raced through his mind, each one ranging from hopeful to dark to realistic. The word "Congratulations!" appeared in front of him, giving off a rather cheery vibe that conflicted with the grim atmosphere. A door appeared in front of Godot; it was a wooden door with a bright light oozing out from the open crevices. He sighed and turned the handle to reveal a white room containing a treasure chest. In the treasure chest he found a tan coat called "The Dusty Rabbit". He looked at the coat with a grim expression, and then after a few moments he put it on. Upon doing so, the chest disappeared, and the room he was in transformed into the Town of Beginnings, but Godot was unable to move, pondering and mourning for the friend that he may have lost.

  • Mosquito's Kiss: The user's blade shines red for a set amount of time (initially, it lasts for a 30 seconds). During this time, the player can drain 5% of the damage they deal to the enemy. With repeated use, the percentage rises.

Weapons

  • Goliath Toothpick (One-Handed Dagger): A dagger crafted from the corpse of a Goliath Golem. Durable and light, the Toothpick strikes with the ferocity of Goliath himself.
  • Mammon's Fang (One-Handed Curved Sword): Amount of Col gained after a battle increases by 5% (Destroyed)
  • Meister's Soul (Polearm): Grants the user the Fishing skill without taking a skill slot. However, if the user unequips the Polearm, the skill will be unequipped as well. This weapon can also be used as a fishing rod.
  • Santa's Cane (Two-Handed Battle Axe): Should the weapon be forged, it can become any other type of weapon. This can only be used a certain number of times before the weapon is unable to be crafted further, and each time it is forged it gets weaker. Should one choose to make it a Dagger, it will be returned to full strength, but its weapon type cannot be changed. It's design is reminiscent of that of a candy cane. (Sold)
  • The Baron (Two-Handed Straight Sword): A sword of great weight wielded by the protectors of Goliath. Those with the strength to wield our granted the blessing of the God of Stewardess.

Armor

  • Goliath Gauntlets (Gloves): Fortifies Strength
  • Goliath Belt (Accessory): Fortifies Defense
  • Silver Slider (Body Armor): When in critical danger, defense increases dramatically
  • Black Mamba (Footwear): Dash Speed is increased by 15%

To all reservations- I will add you all to the list soon o3o

To everyone with SU's- i'm not able to accept it yet since ShinyDiamond is not online somehow :3 i'd like to inform you guys that i'm about to edit the SU a little, don't worry ;p I will only add the level section, ShinyDiamond reminded me yesterday that I forgot to add it ^^;; haha~ the plan is that everyone will be level 15 or under ^^

Machomuu- Since I couldn't find much information about Beasttaming, I made it a skill that can only be unlocked by level 20 :3 and… no, this is also information I forgot to add but will do soon: 6 sword arts is the maximum and you can unlock a spot by every 10 levels. You begin with two sword arts though.

Katana's go to the curved swords section. Maybe I should ask SD if we should make a list with weapons, but since I expect this will be incredibly hard… it can probably take awhile :3 but yes, one handed curved blades are one handed swords in general.

All the information I forgot to add can be found in the first post in less than two hours. My apologies for the inconvenience c:

Ok, so, where we are at the moment, we've just started Sword Art or is it a week in?

And because we're only level 15 tops, how will we know what Sword Arts we've unlocked? And what combat/non-combat skills we've unlocked? Have we had the time to do this?

It's been a month since the logout button dissapeared, which means you are trapped in the game for a month now. You could have used this time useful and leveled up and found out about your sword arts or you didn't use it useful and and stayed in Tolbana town or Horunka village for safety.

Your skills can be found when you open up your menu in the game :3 that's one way of finding about your skills, but normally you should be able to choose your skills yourself so this will also be the case in the game. You started cooking? BANG! Congratulations! You obtained the cooking skill!

Since your character will be a beater, you already know how to find your sword arts and skills, it's your choose if you'll share this information.

To answer your question properly: yes, you had more than enough time to unlock your skills and to find out about your sword arts, unless your character hasn't left one of the villages in that whole month. Those people can learn about it from friends or just players c;

You'll start in either Starting City, Tolbana Town or Horunka village.

I think it would be best if I added this to the "You" section.

I made the changes! Go add the level part to your SU's c: Most things about Sword Arts and levels are explained in the "You" section even though it's not much.

Then I had a quick question to you all: I changed the color tags to turqoize, does that work for everyone? or do I need to change the color to another one? Skymin told me that there are people who can't read the text because of their PC themes.

Hey, I'm not joining, but I'd just like to point out (to help you!) that the text in the opening post is unreadable to me and probably to more people with bright PC skins (which is probably a lot of people?). General rule of design is, if you're going to use a defined text color, also define the background color to avoid unreadableness.

Thank you c: this either means i'll have to remove the color tags permanently or try to keep changing the color untill it's readable for everyone, so this means: no bright colors.

The reason why I try not to have to change the background is because ShinyDiamond and I spend hours trying to find a good background for the RP ^^; IF I really have to change it... then i'll just spend a few hours to try to find a new one c:

DONE!

Emmanuel Marquez || dotcom

Gender: Male
Age: 19
Country: Manila, Phillipines
Status: Level 15: Player Killer

Appearance: dotcom, as he preferred being called that while inside the game, is a five foot-eleven guy. While not your average Asian, dotcom's Eastern descent is pretty evident in his physical appearance. His skin is dark-brown, as most of the residents of his country is. Being raised in an agricultural country, the relative lack of fast food made dotcom fairly healthy, weighing in at around 100-130 pounds. His hair is colored black, the most abundant color in the Philippines (with the exception of people who dye their hair), and was cut thin, to the point that he can consider himself semi-bald. His eyes are colored deep-brown that it is hard to distinguish whether it really is brown or black. He sports a small scar on his upper lip. He wears a pair of round-framed glasses.

dotcom uses the default set, but plans to change it as soon as possible.

Personality: Emmanuel Marquez, in real life, is a shy guy. Despite being in one of the most prestigious university in his country, Emmanuel has few friends, and none of them really close to him. He chose not to participate in any kind of activity which requires interacting with other people. Because of this kind of attitude, people branded him as an awkward and weird guy. However, despite of his apparent apathy in the social norm of groups, Emmanuel has a really active online life. He's an active gamer; trying out every game out there. Known as dotcom, Emmanuel gathered quite a lot of online acquaintances, and is always ready to help out a newbie player.

dotcom is a careful battler. He never strikes until he is sure that the attack will hit, and fatally. Being a pro-gamer, he knew that tactics combined with brute force is the key to winning any battle, accompanied by proper in-game equipment, is the key to winning, not petty accessories claiming to provide speed boosts or team mates who will just drag him down.

History: Emmanuel Marquez is an only child of two rich entrepreneurs who barely had time for each other, let alone Emmanuel. He was schooled in three different private schools before he entered college, taking up a bachelor in Computer Science. He was a pro-gamer ever since he was in second-year high school. Ragnarok, Dragon Nest, Age of Empires; name the game and, high chance, Emmanuel had played it before. He led an online guild, he called 'Detoxify,' who were his playmates in every game. Each month, they choose a random game, and would play it, until they reach the end of it.

When SOA was opened to normal players, Detoxify immediately jumped on in the bandwagon since the game had good reviews from the beta-testers from other gaming guilds. However, dotcom and his guild mates were caught inside the game. When Kayaba revealed his plans, dotcom panicked and turned against his guild mates. Being the guild master, he managed to easily pick the six members of his guild. He planned to defeat the game, killing players who get in his way to eliminate any threat in his survival.

Currently, he is not affiliated in any of the rogue guilds and has no plans to team up with any of them, though his decision is still flexible.

Skills:
Combat: Delay
Passive: Hiding
Non-Combat: Alchemy
Weapon Skills: One Handed Straight Sword

Sword arts:

Double Backslash- it can only be used while <Hiding>. dotcom crouches, his sword glowing a pale white, and silently moving behind the enemy. It then makes two slashes, forming a cross pattern, on the enemy's back. Useful if dotcom aims to kill.

Delay Combo- Use immediately after <Delay>. After interrupting the enemy's attack, dotcom hits the flat side of his sword on top of the enemy's head, possibly rendering them unconscious. A stab follows through. Useful for severely injuring enemy's, though not useful if the intention is to kill.

Code: Zelda End. I mean, Link Start.

Partly done with my SU, though that may be my final submission. I just have one question:

How many skills (as in, the maximum) could we have per category? Is it just one for each (one combat, non-combat, passive, weapon) or is there a limit for it higher than one? Because I am planning to maximize the space, since I made my character a player killer (which would imply he is a better player than normal players). Ohohoho.

Having a look at your coding, I don't think your CSS is working... it's not for me, a Chrome user anyway. Your background of stars and stuff? Yeah, I'm just getting whatever the default is for me. Have a look through your CSS again. d:

This actually raises a few questions. For instance, there are other One-Handed Swords, so having Curved Swords as all one-handers is pretty Overpowered. You sure you don't mean "Single-bladed"?

Also, since the Katana is a curved sword, how exactly do you unlock it?

And, on a somewhat unrelated note, how do you unlock Martial Arts? By going unarmed?

You can have 12 skills in total and there is no maximum per category, we just expect you to use your slots well ;P Also, player killer doesn't specific means that you are stronger or better than other players, you are... a player, but one that murders so technically just like murderers in real life.

Having a look at your coding, I don't think your CSS is working... it's not for me, a Chrome user anyway. Your background of stars and stuff? Yeah, I'm just getting whatever the default is for me. Have a look through your CSS again. d:

I use chrome as well and it seems to be working by me .__. hmmm... can you read the text though?

er mer gawd, I just noticed you use a Fire Emblem character as appearence, I loves.

Martial Arts is an extra skill that can be unlocked by a certain quest :3 I can't give more information than that... you should just check the bulletin board every once in awhile~ Yes, i'm planning on creating one... but since i'm not the only GM, I should discuss the bulletin board idea with SD :3

hmmm... I just thought about it and I think I explained it wrong, well... I actually really did explain it wrong so let me explain again but this time properly:

One Handed Curved swords are swords like Katanas and Scimitars. Pretty much swords that don't look like the usual striaght looking swords.

THEN we have One Handed Straight Swords, those are the normal swords that can be hold with one hand, The "Straight Swords".

Example:
Spoiler:

Kirito for example (the main character in the anime: sword art online) is a One Handed Straight Sword user.

Apologies for not explaining it right ^^; Now I know why people tell me not to go on PokeCommunity when i'm not fully awake =.=;;;
