Ice Shard...
Okay, let's say I have a Jolly Weavile EV trained in 252 Atk. Can an Ice Shard from it OHKO a 4x Dragon type? i.e. Garchomp, Salamence, etc.
most likely. at the very most they will have under 25% health
Ah, okay, but also, would it be better to use Ice punch or Ice Shard?
well when i use my weaville i use this..
Weaville @ Focus Sash Jolly 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Hp -Swords Dance -Night Slash -Ice Punch -Brick Break keep in mind i use it as a lead. works very well. |
Ice Punch is better on Weavile, since he's speedy enough to handle it. Ice Shard is for slower pokes.
Weavile is wayy too fast for Ice Shard. Ice Punch does more damage and can freeze(my favorite status condition).
I recommend donphan as the best ice shard, dragon killer.(can sustain around 5 percent damage from a swith into an earthquake from a garchomp)
Never give Ice Shard to a Weavile. His Special Attack is so terrible. D:
Ice Punch is the definite way to go. |

Weavile ish too fast. Ice punch all the way.
Why the heck would u give weavile Ice shard. It is way too hard to out run a weavile. So u can replace ice shard w/ ice punch and an adamant nature u can OHKO almost any poke that ice is super effective on.
Adamant nature?o.0 A timid Alakazam can outspeed that and OHKO with focus blast =_= Jolly Weavile is much better.
There is no problem with ice shard on weavile incase your opponent gets off way too many dragondances or your paralyzed. You still get that "go first action" and with stab it still hurts dragons
Alright, thanks for the replies people. Also, I was only thinking about adding Ice Shard over Ice Punch because I stop DD's and Agilties. xP Just a thought...
