PoisonOwnzYou's Pokemon Strategy Thread

Hello, I am PoisonOwnzYou. I have been playing Pokemon Pearl for a while, and have been thinking about WiFi battles. I decided I will participate in them. But I then heard from a friend that it takes a lot of effort, starting from the beggining of the game, so I have started over my 200+ Hour game to create the ultimate EV and IV trained team. This is what my team will hopefully be when I am done.

I have updated my team.

[email protected]
Jolly Nature
-Dragon Dance
-Fire Punch(For Ice Weakness)
-Earthquake
-Outrage

I have been reading on Serebii lately, and discovered I am a major NOOB. I re-did Dragonite with some info you guys gave. Thanks alot for the feedback! Keep it coming!

[email protected] Specs]
Adament Nature
-Grass Knot
-Trick
-Focus Blast
-Psychic

I got rid of substitue and calm minfd and replaced it with grass knot and trick.

[email protected]
Adament Nature
-Thunderpunch
-Earthquake
-??
-??

I know he is not very good, I am only thinking about what moves i have seen from Marriland, and earthquake and thunderpunch seem good on him. I need more feedback on him.

I am still working on my team please rate and give me feedback.

First off u don't give dragonite blizzard. Its special attack is nothing compared to its physical. This is my Dragonite (named Faziila) that in every wifi battle i've faught killed atleast 1 poke

Dragonite nature: adamant
D-dance
EQ
D-claw
fire Punch(teach w/heart scale)

Fire punch isn't really best for my party, because i'm lacking in eletric mvoes. U can also subsitute fire punch w/ Thunder Punch or Aqua tail.

The only thing that separates Dragonite from Salamence is Outrage attack. Use that.

Anti August 13th, 2007 5:08 PM

I doubt Thunder Wave is needed since dragon dance shoots up his speed. Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Outrage, and an elemental punch are common sights on 4th gen dragonites, so I'd use that. I'm bad with Zam, so somebady else can rate him.

OK update:
Dragonite @ leftovers
Brave Nature
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Surf
-Fire punch

My Dragonite is only level 55 in Fire Red so that is why he has some crappy moves. I am working on stats and when I beat pearl, I'm going to EV train him.

Yeah, here you go:

[email protected]'m bad with items
Jolly/Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 HP
~Dragon Dance
~Earthquake
~Fire Punch/Thunderpunch
~Outrage

I'm no 4th gen expert, but I do know that is a good dragonite set. I don't remember the berry that heals confusion, but that might be a good item to negate the negative effect of outrage. Any three physical attacks work, but those are the best IMO.

Azonic August 14th, 2007 8:21 AM

Hmm... Dragon Dance and Outrage aren't the best combo. You will have to switch out, deleting DD's effect.

You obviously don't understand the strategy behind it. DDOutrage Dragonite is an awesome late game sweeper. The point is not to use DD until your opponent's Steel types (if they have any) are all weakened or fainted. Once that's been taken care of, Dragonite can rip through the enemy team with a STABed 120 power Dragon move coming from over 700 Attack. Confusion doesn't matter when you can take out at least two opponents on the other team.
