What are you?

Are you a trader, collector, battler? Or all three?
What keeps you interested in the game? Why do you play?

Just curious

Shiver August 24th, 2007 2:30 AM

I think of myself as a Collecter, because I am working towards the goal of completing the Pokedex. I currently have 104, only 300+ to go :D

Marcy_11 August 24th, 2007 3:08 AM

I guess Im a collector atm as well, I tried battling, i failed lol

darksage78 August 24th, 2007 3:13 AM

Currently collector, trading to complete the pokedex as well. I emptied out most of my storage boxes yesterday to make space for all of the Pokemon lol

ピクシー August 24th, 2007 3:59 AM

Collector and Breeder. I have 3 Boxes of hatched Pokemon which I need to trade/give away and 2 boxes of Eggs that I need to hatch.

shalashaska August 24th, 2007 4:07 AM

Ho-oh arabia August 24th, 2007 5:26 AM

i'm the same.collect em all,trade em all,win em all!!!!!

Denizen August 24th, 2007 6:04 AM

I used to be a battler up until the Elite Four, not I am A collector/trader/breeder/raiser.

But once I fill up my Pokedex, I'll train up my Fighters and start getting into battling again, mostly online.

Jorah August 24th, 2007 11:56 AM

I do like battling but I'd love to be able to fill up the Pokedex this time round. I did have the chance in Silver because my brother had Gold and I had Red, but the internal battery died before I could complete it...

Hikari318 August 24th, 2007 12:41 PM

I breed =P
And I like trading a lot, it's so fun ^^
I also love training my favourite pokemon (but I hate EV training!!).

Shiny Umbreon August 24th, 2007 1:00 PM

What's the difference, really, between a collector and a trader. I mean, you trade to collect more. Anyway, I think I like being a collecter, at least of the species because I'm not interested in shinies. But I'm preparing my team before completing my Dex.

No, I trade for the sole purpose of trading XD

Apathetic_Yen August 24th, 2007 1:22 PM

All three. I breed to battle. And I battle to collect. Then I collect to breed. Actually it really just all leads up to battling instead of a circle.

Black Ice August 24th, 2007 1:51 PM

I trade for collecting, and I collect battlers. So all three? Or just battling, whichever one makes more sense.

Master Exploder August 24th, 2007 2:28 PM

Collector, i guess. I have 295 obtained pokemon, so i dont have too far left to go!

El Gofre August 24th, 2007 2:39 PM

I'd go im a trader/collecter, im currently aspirin to get a shiny of every legendry :)

FireApe2135 August 24th, 2007 2:52 PM

I am a collector but I trade to collect I am trying to finish the pokedex and am trying to obtain almost all events( not happening anytime soon...)

Allen K. August 24th, 2007 3:52 PM

I think I'm the three, because I trade to complete my pokedex and to get new pokemon that I breed to have good EV-trained for battling xD.

Punishment August 24th, 2007 3:54 PM

I am a competitive battler. Breeder also comes attached with battling. Gotta breed good IV Pokemon.

Thrn I am somewhat a collector. I have a soft spot for event Pokemon. Shinies are meh.

AnimeDDR110 August 24th, 2007 4:13 PM

I am a trader & collector, as i am trying to get all shinies. 16 isn't alot, but its good for now! I rarely battle, i need to train a better team.

XDLugia August 24th, 2007 4:26 PM

i am a breeder and collector. i already collected all of the pokemon in the dex and now i am starting to collect shinies. i also breed my pokes so more people can complete the dex.

rocklee666 August 24th, 2007 4:36 PM

personnaly, I'm a battler and a breeder. collecting seems dull to me for some reason. not much fun in just catching the pokemon. I'm pretty good with making pokemon teams. I think it's fun to make new teams and invent several combinations that should ensure them victory in battle. I like to make a box, put 2 poke' together, have them hold mail and list an attack, or write it down on paper.

samuel_kim_1 August 24th, 2007 6:21 PM

im what ppl call a coordnator u no its not up there but ya.....im also a breeder and a trader/collector but thats the sole perpose of winning the super contest (im also a berry collector if that counts)oh and im a berry breeder XD get it?

spike6958 August 24th, 2007 6:24 PM

i started as a collector, but atm i guess im a trader couse im trading to get good ev trained pkmn for when i get PBR and become a full time battler, so i guess for me it's all three

Sir Beasty August 24th, 2007 6:49 PM

im a battler and breeder.
currently im more into breeding than battling though...
i iv breed and lately ive been trying to breed shinies with my shiny ditto.
so far ive bred a shiny staryu, charmander, and my latest work, my prized zangoose.
he looks so cool shiny.
:)

i love zangoose!

Tricky August 24th, 2007 7:56 PM

A battler and a coordinator. I'm probably not that good when it comes to battling because I just use my favorite pokemon, not necessarily the best, but the question is what do you do, not what you're good at, I guess.

I'm new to coordinating but I'm working on it.

You can have your favorite pokemon and still be great at battling you know. Looking at your trainer card. If you really use those poke's, then I don't see why you would be bad at battling. Thats a pretty good team. However, I'm more into ground pokemon. I use complete stratedgie. I love to lower accuracy hehehe ^_^.

Hehe, yeah, my team's usually not too bad, but everyone on WiFi seems to have these indestructable, uber teams. O_o;

Always and Never August 25th, 2007 6:13 AM

I'm a hardcore battler on my game. All I usually do now is taske on the battle tower, and I've already gotten 100 wins, so it's so boring. And maybe sometimes I'm a gamber... Veilstone Slots are awesome, where you follow the Clefairy and you'll win everytime. Does anyone know what the prize is if you get 10 bonus rounds in a row?
