What Excactly does Heat Rock do?
and that set looks kinda flawed.

Persona August 25th, 2007 4:23 PM

I personally think this works better:

Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 225 Def / 31 Spd
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Knock Off
- Sleep Powder

It prolongs the term of Sunny Day's affect.

Nice set. I'd use that if you use tangrowth.

TB Pro August 25th, 2007 4:27 PM

Well do I use it over Swampy??or does swampy cover my team better??Im confused!

Anti August 25th, 2007 4:30 PM

I think swampy would be better since you have steelix as your physical wall.

TB Pro August 25th, 2007 4:36 PM

WOA!!how'd he get Booted out??and ok.thanx

AnimeDDR110 August 25th, 2007 9:51 PM

idk. probably on a different thread or something the mods delete those. its happened to me before. but anyway back on topic:

why don't you try duskinoir.

TB Pro August 26th, 2007 10:19 AM

can you ever come back after getting booted out?and also I think that I am going to go with Swampy!

AnimeDDR110 August 26th, 2007 3:01 PM

no you would have to make a new profile. like i said try duskinoir with this moveset:

Will-O-Wisp
Shadow Sneak
Pain Split
Substitiute

since duskinoir has high defense & sp.def, use substitute. it will take a couple of turns to get you out of that. then in the mean time, pain split to get your hp up a little bit, then toxic or will-o-wisp to give it that sp. condidition. then switch out. btw shadow sneak is good for a pokemon that is weak to duskinoir and it goes first.

His low HP makes Substitute more of a risk than a blessing sometimes. And When your banded I believe its oringinally a couple weeks or a month.

TB Pro August 27th, 2007 1:20 PM

Yeah like I said I want to go with Swampy sooo yeah! Also Who Should be my lead?Maybe Weavile or Gengar?

AnimeDDR110 August 27th, 2007 3:20 PM

Gengar! i use him on my team. his high special attack works good in with the speed. why don't you play shoddy battle? that helps. its just like pokemon netbattle except its all d/p pokemon and animations (other egion pokemon also). its fun!

TB Pro August 27th, 2007 3:25 PM

I do!I like Shoddy I like the format of netbattle more but I like the pokemon way better on shoddy!

Persona August 27th, 2007 4:04 PM

No, it's not best to use Gengar as your lead. Never lead with something that's slower than Weavile and is weak to Pursuit.

oh i forgot. i use electivire (i'm usually against a ground type first). then i switch into gengar and he won't be effected (levitate ability).

yeah i know. whats your name on there? i will battle you one day.

TB Pro August 28th, 2007 6:13 PM

my name is Blazikendude! Also what moveset would you suggest as a moveset for Gliscor and Gallade(one of my new favorite pokemon!)?

Waffle-San August 28th, 2007 7:13 PM

Gallade
Adamant
Leaf Blade
Swords Dance
Psycho Cut
Close Combat

Or (my favourite)

Gallade
Careful
Will "O" Wisp
Psycho Cut
Close Combat
Swords Dance

I prefer using Gallade as a pokemon that can take hits just as well as dealing them out. (why don't people reply to my threads like this:'( )

Persona August 29th, 2007 6:29 AM

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 Atk
- Roost
- Knock Off / Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge / Aerial Ace

Makes a great Heracross counter and supporter.

nhuan August 30th, 2007 3:51 AM

Have you considerer Umbreon? She has a max of 394 life, 350 def and 394 of SpDef. Only weak against bug and fighting.

her moveset would be:
Toxic
Mean look
Moonlight
Baton Pass

She can only max out two of her stats though. It is recommended to max out her HP and Defenses.

If you do decide on Umbreon here is an alternate moveset.

-Wish/Moonlight
-Mean Look
-Baton Pass
-Toxic/Curse/Taunt/Yawn/etc...

AnimeDDR110 August 30th, 2007 6:44 PM

ok, i finally thought of a great moveset for shuckle that i got in a trade today (sure its been used already).

gyro ball+power trick=one of the greatest pokemon you will ever see.

we all know shuckle has horrible attack & speed, but gyro ball and bad speed can do a little damage. unfortunately, it could do more with power trick. a nasty little move that switches attack & defense, now your shuckle will have the best attack you might ever see on a pokemon. plus gyro ball=wiping the floor. unfortunately, this does limits shuckle time in battle a little.

plus throw in toxic, rest and a chesto berry will make shuckle last a while.

Azonic August 31st, 2007 2:58 AM

No its not the best pokemon. One slow sweeper, any physical attacker blows shuckle away.

This is the best sweeping shuckle: Trick Room + Power Trick = Greatest physical sweeper ever!

Ok, you have used trick room, then the other person would be clever and guess your going to use power trick next, you use power trick, and they have a free hit on your defense. Thats a dead shuckle.
Its bad and too risky to do that!

yes i agree with that. very risky.

TB Pro September 14th, 2007 12:41 PM

eh but if you use power trick alone then you got yourself one dead shuckle!but eh maybe
-Gyro Ball
-Power Trick
-Trick Room
-Toxic

First Turn
TTar uses DD
Shuckle uses Trick room

Second Turn
Shuckle uses Toxic
TTar uses EQ

Third Turn
Shuckle uses Power Trick
TTar Uses DD

Fourth Turn
Shuckle uses Gyro Ball
TTar Faints

Winner:Shuckle

I know that was not really to accurate but..
