Where do I find Mewtwo and Evee?
I just beat the Elite Four and got the upgraded Pokedex. i heard that now i can find Mewtwo. also i never found Evee throughout the course of the game. can somebody please help me?
edit: oh and i'm playing Fire Red version. |
Ok, for eevee, go to celadon city. Go behind the pokemon center, and run left until you reach a building with a door entering the back. Go up the staircases and eventually you will find a pokeball on a table. That has eevee in.
For mewtwo, after finding both the ruby and sapphire, go to cerulean city and go up the bridge. Surf downwards, then right etc. Until you reach a cave entrance. Go through the cave and then you will find mewtwo. Save it before you battle it, because if you beat it/it beats you, you will not be able to get it again, as it is a legendary. Hope i helped. EDIT: Here's a map showing the way to mewtwo in the cave, just in case you cant find it. :)http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/918916/28809 |
that was a very heplful response Master Exploder. Thank you much.
one other thing while i'm on the subject... I've heard that it is actually better to try to save your Master Ball for some other Pokemon and catch Mewtwo using Ultra Balls. i remember back many years ago (when i was playing Red Version on my green and black screen giant gameboy) that Mewtwo was the hardest pokemon to catch so you were supposed to save your Master Ball for it but someone recently told me there are pokemon that are even harder to catch than Mewtwo in the GBA generation pokemon games. What do you think about this? |
Yes, there are more pokemon difficult to get, but Mewtwo is one of the most difficult. That is one occasion where is worth using the Master Ball. Plus, the other legendaries in that game can't be found without codes or nintendo events, and you get another Master Ball in the other games.

You could use your masterball on mewtwo, but it depends on how much work you are prepared to do. Depending on which starter you chose, one of three legendary dogs (raikou, suicune and entei) will now be running around in the wild somewhere. As soon as you find them, they run away. I suggest saving your master ball for your legendary dog, but that's just my opinion. Mewtwo doesn't run away, so you can take your time and weaken it, and then throw some ultra balls, while the dog will run away straight away, unless you use mean look on it. Here's a guide to legendaries that includes help with catching the dogs. http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/918916/42001 |
that's good advice. thanks again sir.
|
So what have you decided to do? :)
|
i'm gonna try to save the masterball for the legendary pokemon.
|
Yeah, it's a lot better using the Master Ball ont hem.
|
Use Ultra Balls on Mewtwo, Randy Marsh. If it faints or if you run out of balls just turn the game off and on again... that is if you saved beforehand
Might as well save the Master Ball for one of the three legendary dogs, which has been mentioned already |
and to add the only time you should use a Master ball on a legend that doesn't run away is if its shiny

I didn't use my masterball on mewto, all it took was patience I paralazed him first then i got him weak with charizard. It's annoying though cause everytime he was weak he used full restore. But I only had to throw four timer balls at him. They work really well. Save the masterball for the lengendary dog.
