The most awesome Darkrai Combo!

Ok,for those of you who have darkrai, listen up.the best moveset for darkrai is:
Dark Void
Dream Eater
Nightmare
And somethin else...
Anyway,do u know y?
this is because if darkrai uses dark void, bad dreams will do damage between turns.same with nightmare.then,if it uses dream eater, darkrai will do over 150 damage each turn!

Or they can just switch out, ruining that whole strategy. The best? Thats a bold claim for a bad set.

I'm sorry, but that set wasn't helping at all. All it does is hurt rookies trying to use Daraki.

Penguin's set is more thought out. If I never used Darakai, and used your set, I'd lose every time. Penguin's set seemed to have more strategy. I thought up your set as soon as I saw Darakai, but thought of why it wouldn't work.

Don't be so hard on him, at least he tried. XDD

sims796 August 26th, 2007 8:53 AM

Well, read the edit I made. Before you make claims & ruin the teams of rookies, think of the counters to that strategy first.

peabobo's sexy legs August 26th, 2007 9:31 AM

This is really sad. The standard is WAY better than this.

Captain Fabio August 26th, 2007 9:33 AM

IT isn't that great to be honest. Anyone could work that one out :/ Oh well, at least your trying to help :)

Shiraishi August 26th, 2007 9:34 AM

This fails so bad >_> Switching out screws ur "strategy" pretty bad >_>

sims796 August 26th, 2007 9:37 AM

Ouch, Cakekun. Well, brutal honesty is always best. B for effort. You tried to help, but did it poorly.

This isn't a participation grade. Every aspect of this idea fails, so it gets an F. Not to mention how rarely anyone will allow Darkrai in competitive battle.

Honesty is the best way lol. That set really has to go for darkrai

my set is

Calm mind
dark pulse
Dark void
Substitute.

This set works wonders in ubers

shedinjask August 26th, 2007 11:02 AM

Except against Specstwo. :O

I have actually never seen Darkrai used well. It always dies against me.

sims796 August 26th, 2007 11:07 AM

I have to agree. People used that exact same set at the beggining of the thread, only to be stopped cold by my Noctowl. NOCTOWL!!! It has Insomnia.

hmm.thank you penguin.i don't have darkrai, nor have i ever used it.i have had it used against me,and thats wat the person used.so BACK OFF sims!

sims796 September 1st, 2007 1:16 PM

This thread still alive? If you never used Darakai before, why post it? And why would you post a set that you never used? If I had never used Darakai, and tried that set, I would lose, and I would blame you for giving me that set.

These post agree with me, and are much cruder.

This one actually says what I'm saying. I wasn't trying to be mean, but I was being honest. That set was bad. If you never tried it, you shouldn't have offered it.

If I lose a tournament using you set, I don't want to hear "at least I tried". I would want to know why you gave that set.

I don't think Substitute would work as well as another attacking move. The only thing Darkrai has to worry about is Fighting moves. And despite being able to outrun any Fighting type, she'll need something that makes up for it. Steel types also counter this set pretty well. Lucario comes to mind in being able to massacre it... 4x resistance to the only offensive move it has, it would be pretty pathetic for an uber to crumble to a petty OU.

Although I'm no Uber expert, my opinion is that a pure sweeper is the way to go:

- Dark Void
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Thunder[bolt]/Focus Blast

sims796 September 1st, 2007 1:52 PM

Nice set, Richard, but he never asked for a set. He just said his was awesome. If he had asked for help, that would be an entirely different story.

If he came up with his bad set, that would be one thing, but he never used that set himself. How can you claim a combo was awesome, and then say "I was just trying to help" if you never originally came up with that set?

Holy crap >_> Thats insanity..

Anyways, BoltBeam would be better than a Psychic attack like that in any ways

Portujesus September 1st, 2007 11:33 PM

Nice set. I'm going to try it in UU/NU with Sleep Clause. :D
