I have a lot of friends from internet to IRL.

Kairi June 11th, 2004 7:58 PM

*sigh* All that typing totally ignored, as people disregard what I just said regarding online friends. Fufufufu, that’ll teach me to put time into my posts. ._.;

Frostweaver June 11th, 2004 9:34 PM

I think that your post was "ignored" not because they didn't read, but just that no one else agreed... -_-

Kayleigh June 11th, 2004 9:47 PM

Aww, I read it and I agree with you, Kairi. I kind of have that problem; none of my real-life friends enjoy most of the things that I do, and so it's nice to have friends online that you can talk to about all kinds of things! (Pokemon, other Anime, etc.) They would think that I was wierd if I told them that I do this, lol. XP But oh well, they can think that. I'm so happy to have found this website, and have joined it, because I met all of you here! And even if we haven't met, everyone here is still a real person, and there is a possibility that we could. (DT lives really close to a place that I visited in Houston. O_o He could have met me there when I went! He's been there several times. It's kind of a wierd thought, but it's also really neat. I also could have met tmbjr, if he had been at the Pokemon convention.)

And I do think about all of you a lot offline. ^_^; Especially like when I see someone's name, or I see a character that's in someone's avatar, or screen name. (Like Kairi when I play Kingdom Hearts, Chrystie when I see that girl on 'Full Metal Panic!', etc.)

Thomas June 11th, 2004 9:48 PM

i have alot of friends but no best friend...i cant really trust anyone that well

lighterhead2001 June 12th, 2004 5:16 AM

See,no one has alot of true freinds i mean sure a few aquaintances but rarely someone you can rely on, someone you can talk with, someone who supports you, someone who would die for you...a true freind is a thing to cherish

as for me i havent really had but one =)

For no man hath greater love than this...that a man lay down his life for a freind

Yeah, why does Kairi's post suddenly remind me of "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid?! Oh yeah, because I was just listening to it, lol. But, it does make me think of how a lot of us want to meet each other. So we can be part of each other's worlds...heh. JUST A THOUGHT! ^_^; I haven't been in this thread lately, Kairi, so I didn't reply right back. If I saw your long post, I would've definitely read it; because, heck, I write long posts and we gotta stick together, lol! ^____^ And now that I've read it, I agree with you wholeheartedly, also. You're not alone!

Anyway, I'm extremely fortunate that I found this website, too, Kayleigh. I forgot what I was searching for, but PC kept coming up as one of the top results. So I came here, and I joined. I honestly didn't expect to be around this long. But, I'm really glad I did since I made so many friends that actually share my interests. Sure, I've met people IRL that enjoy anime and manga, but for some reason...I just don't bond with them like I do with the people here at PC. Like one girl that's in my dance class adores anime, too. However, when I asked her if she liked Inuyasha, she said she wasn't too big of a fan and I was like, "WHAT?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!!!!" *shakes fist* That's when I think of Kayleigh or Kairi...and the wall scroll situation...heh. ^_^; Yay, Kayleigh, you think of me as Kaname Chidori from "Full Metal Panic!"? My personality is a lot like her's...I kind of sound like her, too. Weird! And there was this one little girl in the class I'm Princess Jasmine in, and me and "Aladdin" have to to pick her up and spin her around...she reminded me so much of the younger Kayleigh, lol. Of course, I don't know what Kayleigh looks like--but by her description she fits this little girl's features and shyness. Light brown/brown hair down to her shoulders and she is just so adorable. She has this soft little laugh, too. It's awesome...lol...yeah. ^_^;

John Denver June 12th, 2004 9:50 AM

I have 3 best friends, so I have no Idea what it's like to have several best friends...and I also don't know what it's like to have no best friends at all...

The same applies to everyone else...A born king doesn't know what it's like to be a born slave...

Most of the people I know are just "school friends" just people I talk to at school no real friends. Most of my "real'' friends are people I have meet in other countries and now talk to online or just people I have meet online. The simple fact is people that I know in the real world seldom like to do any of the thing's I'm into. I'm lucky if I can get them to sit through ONE episode of an anime. I have like two or three friends offline that actually like anime and aren’t just mindless otakus. Most of my other friend’s offline are just party going drunk high school kids. They are the type of person that just like to watch some dumb movies (Freddy got fingered, scary movie, euro trip) over and over and over again, then they get annoyed with me for watching a anime more the one time. So I have a mixed bag of friends, I guess with online I met more people like me and that are into the stuff I like. But offline most of my friends are just party going boozers.

Definitely agree... I always get the impression that what people call as "best friends" are most likely acquaintances if they say that they have like 4 or more best friends... that's just too insane of a number for me. Not including PC, I only consider myself to have one best friend, and we only meet 6 times a year (not a healthy status, but it cannot be helped)...

Aww, lol. It's nice to know that I remind you of someone like that! ^_^ I think I've seen how Kaname Chidori acts on Full Metal Panic!, a long time ago. I saw the manga one time. I think that she's a lot like you. XD

And yeah, I know how you feel about the 'friend + anime' thing. None of my friends would even know what it was, lol. If some of them are spending the night for a sleepover, like on Friday, I'll wake up early so that I can watch the new Pokemon episode the next morning. They'll either still be asleep, or will be doing something else, lol. I guess that's kind of a pain in the butt... It's not as much fun having to like something by yourself.

Cassie-chan June 12th, 2004 11:52 AM

People don't like me (off-line). They think I'm weird. Don't ask me why...unless my family counts? No? ;.;

^^NICK^^ v.3.0 June 12th, 2004 12:15 PM

I want my friends to be in my team next year, but if they aen't, at least I'll know people from this grade. It won't be that bad.

Nahh don't worry. Most of my friends are evil. :P
1/1,000,000? Are you exagerating? XD
I bet you have atleast 500 friends. ;)

I've heard that you'll live longer if you have more friends. :P

John Denver June 12th, 2004 6:54 PM

I've been pondering this...similarly to love, I think once you're best friends with some one, nothing can really change that...even if you two have this gigantic fight (argument, fist fight, whatever) you still can't help but remember the good times. I think a real best friend is a life long person...

but that's just me...or maybe it's just something I'd like to believe...

Blemhema...oh I'm out of energy

^^NICK^^ v.3.0 June 12th, 2004 7:01 PM

Yeah, I think that too. I got into about 3 physical fights with my old best friend, but we're not friends anymore. I still have one, and she's a girl, so we've only had arguments. Still when we have arguments, we still respect each other.

lighterhead2001 June 12th, 2004 7:22 PM

XP I need to be more social i have 1 good freind and 0 aqauintances lol

~Lighterhead (If i knew somewhere to go i'd have a life!) XP No but really i share Kayleighs problem no one i know likes pokemon and i keep sleeping to long to watch it!

Err bye bye now

22sa June 13th, 2004 2:08 AM

Let's me... my problem would be... a lack of reason for life. >=\ I sometimes love life for one minute and before I know it I'm confused about why again. Sigh.

yep

That makes me feel like I'm wasting my time. @[email protected]; Screwed feeling, but anyway, totally dismissable. Speaking of being nice... I can't help it! I think I'll learn how to burn PC members from now on! Muahaha! Just wait, I'll post a bunch of sarcasm someday, when I'm in a low enough mood. >=D

Edit: Arguements between best friends? I guess they happen. But remember that argument is ignorance. Imo. There's a better way called "discussion".

Geometric-sama June 13th, 2004 5:01 AM

IRL I only have 6 really good friends. 5 of them are boys XD. (We're all going to the school formal together XD.) But online I have a heap of great friends. *points @ sig*

TeamRocket June 13th, 2004 5:32 AM

I have several good friends. In fact - I have had great friendships since i was like 7.

Yeah, you kind of have a bond with that person like they're part of your family. My brother and I argue sometimes over things, but within an hour we're talking to each other like it never happened. XD I guess it works that way with your best friends... You're more forgiving towards them.

John Denver June 13th, 2004 10:13 AM

I don't know what it's like to be good friends with a sibling...it doesn't even make SENSE to me...muwaha!

I wish I had a brother...an older brother...
