CSS.....
Ok. As you can see, I've been messing around with CSS, and I can't get it to size down to the size my sig is. Can someone help?
|
Use width or height to change the size. You can put it in pixels (for example: width: 120px) or in % (for example: width: 80%).
|
Yeah, where it says width px###, try playing around with that in preview signature.
If that's what you mean by making the box smaller... |
Thanks, but the thing is, I'm using a div box. Is that what you're supposed to do?
|
You use the css-din tag, right?
Well just put in what you posted in the list of style defiintions and it should work. |
I think the problem with the div box is that it won't shrink the sides, if you get what I mean.
|
How big do you want it to be?
Also, post the code you are using. |
Well, as big as my sig, but I can't cut the sides. The size is 323x168. Here's the code.
[ css-div="padding: width: 323% height: 168% ; border: solid 3px #808080; font-variant: big-caps; color: #60B530; background-color: #C0C0C0;"][/css-div ] |
If you want the sig to be smaller, you should use a percentage which is lower than 100 ;)
[ css-div="padding: width: 80%; border: solid 3px #808080; font-variant: big-caps; color: #60B530; background-color: #C0C0C0;"][/css-div ] Just an example. |
I've just tried everything you've suggested, but it won't budge. Nothing changes.
|
[ css-div="padding: width: 119px height: 119px ; border: solid 3px #808080; font-variant: big-caps; color: #60B530; background-color: #C0C0C0;"][/css-div ]
try seeing if that works at all. |
Oh sorry, I missed something. You don't have to add the width and height to the padding attribute, they are both separate things.
[css-div="width: 80%; border: solid 3px #808080; font-variant: big-caps; color: #60B530; background-color: #C0C0C0;"]text[/css-div] Output: text |
Thanks a WHOLE lot, I got it. ^_^
|
I have a question. How do you center the entire CSS box? Every time I try to wrap it in tags it breaks the whole box and de-left aligns my text in the box. XP
|
How do you left align your text?
If I try to use text-align: left; in the CSS definition and the normal center tag, it works fine for me. [css-div="text-align: left; border: 1px dashed #D8BFD8; width: 60%; background: #4f3073"]stuff stuff stuff [/css-div] stuff stuff stuff |

Oh. I see what code you are using ^^" I didnt use the css-div text align command. D: |
I just wanted to show you that it works^^
Oh and in your case, I think you might better put the pic and the text into different. Working with DIVs can be a real headache X.x |
And remember kids: cool looking things are cool when they're rare. The more people possess something, the more uninteresting it becomes.
...Just my take on this whole CSS box thing. XD |
