Brozong EV
I have the movesets, but this particular question keeps getting ignored. What is a good EV spread for this Brozong:
[email protected] Clay Nature:Relaxed Gyro Ball Explosion Stealth Rock Light Screen My team can use Light Screen support, so I will go with this set. Plus, my Noctowl knows Reflect. But I need an EV spread. I would like Brozong to be able to take a Thunderbolt, even without Light Screen-at least one, and maybe act as a physical wall. |
252 HP/164-216 DEF/rest attack ... it's always important to have max HP on just about every bronzong set.
also, light clay is pretty bad on bronzong. i HIGHLY suggest Lum Berry. it will always be put in the situation of being put to sleep by pokemon like breloom or venasaur or burned by something like dusknoir or mismagius. |
Ok, Lum Berry. None in sp.def? Can he survive a Thunderbolt without it?
|
well it has light screen for one, and two, you should have pokemon that can absorb those kind of hits if it can't manage to put light screen up in time... for instance, claydol absorbs tbolt. i know you have claydol. either way, he has a high base sp def, and with max HP, non-super effective STAB hits are 2-4HKOs. bronzong isn't that easy to kill unless you have a powerful super effective move on your side. as of flamethrowers/fire blasts/overheats, etc... you should probably have someone on your team to take that kind of hit.
|
Oh, I do. I'm replacing Claydol for Brozong. This is my team:
Torterra Raichu Vileplume Gyarados Noctowl Brozong You can see Brozong fixed most of my problems. Especially to Ice. |
You have a x3 weakness to fire. Along with a x3 weakness to Ice. I suggest you keep.
Brozong,Gyarados and Torterra and try to find a new team of special based pokemon. |
his team is quite weak, but it is workable. as far as the structure, you should not have torterra as a starter. bronzong makes a decent starter.
|
I don't care much on the Fire weakness, Gya is for that. But that Ice one ALWAYS killed me. Vileplume is my fav, so he stays. And Noctowl has done surprisingly well. Surviving an Alakazam's Charge Beam AFTER it got a Sp.Atk boost? And I erased ALL it's EV's? Amazing.
A second sp.sweeper is a good idea. EDIT:Torterra's not my starter. I just put it up like that. Brozong/Gyarados is. |
That Alakazam was of Timid nature. D:
|
I think bronzong makes a good wall. He has a great defensive moveset, but his attacking are rubbish. Take my advice and do not give it any attacking moves.
Evs: 252: Defense 252: Special Defence 4: Health Points |
Ah...Still, Noctowl was wiped clean of all EV's, thats still impressive.
EDIT: Brendan, he needs some more in HP. Also, 89 base atk isn't so bad. But you are right. I won't be using him for attacking, just Stealth Rock/Light Screen support. |
and solids suggestions on EV's then?>
|
This thread still going? Well, I'll be using Samson's suggestion. Like this
252 HP, 172 DEF, 80 ATK. |
Is that With relaxed nature Sims?
|
Still alive? This thread sure is surviving...
Yes, Relaxed. |
