Holy poopypants! Jolteon with Nevermeltice? Sandslash with Leftovers? Tyranitar with Surf?

We've got a lot of work to do, boy.

[email protected] Band/Life Orb
Trait: Sand Stream
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 ATK/ 172 HP/ 80 DEF

Stone Edge
Crunch
Earthquake
Avalanche/Ice Fang

Persona August 30th, 2007 3:22 PM

Heracross @ Choice Band / Scarf
Adamant Nature
EVs: 98 HP / 252 Atk / 158 Spd
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
- Pursuit / Sleep Talk

If you're going with Sleep Talk in this case, the ability Guts is preferred over Swarm.

If you mainly want to go with a Swords Dance set:

Heracross @ Life Orb / Salac Berry
Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 HP
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat / Substitute

Night Slash can also make its way in this set. Heracross isn't going to outspeed things much, but if you got a Pokémon that is capable of supporting it with paralysis, it can do well. In this case, Jolteon can provide that support with Thunderwave.

Wow! I didn't realize how much I'll have to change, what about sandslash's moveset, what do you recommend me to improve?

Double Team's banned from competitive. Give it a supporting set, and maybe add Stealth Rock along with Rapid spin in there. As for Rock Slide and Earthquake, they work fine. Counter could be a nasty surprise too. Max attack and defence EVs, with the rest being attack.

sandslash

ok if you put sandslash out after tyranitar then you could get rid of DT so you could give it night slash or something and rapid spin? i cant remember the last time anyone on wifi binded or wrapped me or spikes was in play replace it with slash or something a little more useful

I won't use double team. What's the difference btw Spikes and Stealth Rock? can be used at the same time? does rapid spin get rid of Stealth Rock?

do you think i'm lack of an special wall?

Stealth Rock hits Flying Foes and Spikes can stack. Yes. Yes. Yes, try Blissey, Milotic, or Regice.

I never thought I would have seen a Heracross moveset that doesn't cover it's 4x Weakness... this thing does nothing against flyers, thats why he needs Stone Edge

Inofcachof September 4th, 2007 10:33 PM

Which item would be usefull for sandslash to hold?

n3croart September 4th, 2007 11:18 PM

fixes in bold.
