IT BURNS! IT BURNS!

I've seen Pokemon Battle Revolution videos, with people using a Swellow. Some have Toxic Orbs, while some have Flame Orbs, and some people pointed out that having a burn would cancel out the attack gain from guts, while Toxic Orb doesn't. Some people then said Pokemon with the guts ability isn't affected by a burn's attack lowering side effect. So I was wondering if a Pokemon with guts gets their attack lowered from a Burn.

Guts pokemon still receive the 50% increase from Guts without the ill effects of a burn.

But I would use Toxic Orb since it takes 3 turns of Toxic to equal 3 turns of Burn damage, 4 to start surpassing it, and the Toxic counter resets when you switch out, and Swellow is really the hit-and-run type.

no swellow isn't hit and run. you shouldn't use it for hit and run because its attack types do not vary enough to do so. all you can hope for when having swellow on your team is that you've gotten walls, especially steel and rock types, out of the way, and should be used for the late end of a battle where it can efficient sweep.

Really? I use it for hit-and-run.
