PC boxes.
how does everyone organize theirs?
I'm really stuck on how to sort everything. I've tried doing it by levels, by number, and by type, but I don't like any of them. anyone have any suggestions? |
i do it like this:
rare pokes: (mamgmortar, gallade, garchomp etc.) shinies: legenderies: ev trained: and a few boxes for the rest of them to collect dust |
Rename your boxes and try putting Lv.100s in one. Eggs in another box, Tradings in another, ^_^
My boxes are preety messed up XD |
Well When I Get Every Pokemon I'll Sort It By Number Edit: Just How It Is In Pokédex Book..
|
ah cool,
thanks everyone ^_^ there's probably loads of interesting 'box-organizing-methods' out there. |
Mhm, Some People Probably Sort By Most Fave - Least Fave :), Btw Thanks On1 LiN|< For The Pokemon
|
I really wouldn't be able to decide, if I was organizing them like that!
"hmmm, Elekid. how much do I like him on a scale of one to ten? :\" thanks very much to you too! :D |
now i have national dex i just sort it by region
|
that's exactly what I'm doing now,
even before I read this post ;) |
just rename the boxes easy as that, i release all my weak junks though XD
|
I don't like releasing them if I get attached to them though "/
what have you renamed yours? |
Quote:
|
lol! 'Xtrajunks'
four boxes of rubbish pokemon? that's a lot! |
thats where I put my junks lke tangrowth, flareon, scyther etc you get the idea, and yeh the easiest way to organize your boxes is to rename them =D
|
you think they're junk?!
obviously we have a very different opinion on which pokemon we like then :D |
-hugs Haze the Flareon- Don't read the post, you're not Junk >_<"
Everyone has their opions on which pokemon they like I guess. |
Box 1 is Pokémon I don't wish to trade/breed.
Box 2 is Pokémon I want to trade/breed. Box 3 is full of eggs, organized by alphabetical type based on the Pokémon they'll become. Box 4 is rares and legendaries. |
wow, can you really fit all your pokemon in 4 boxes? or is that just an approximation?
|
At some point, I couldn't.
Back then, though, they were just placed in the boxes randomly. xD But I gave most of them to other people who wanted them. :P |
that's what I'd like to do :]
I like your organization methods! |
this is how i have mine sorted
box 17: trading pokemon box 18: legendaries box 1: evolved pokemon box 2: evolved pokemon box 3: evolved pokemon box 4: evolved pokemon box 5: evolved pokemon box 6: pokemon i still need to evolve box 7: pokemon i still need to evolve box 8: pokemon i still need to evolve box 9: pokemon i still need to evolve oh and in box 6-9 i have them ordered as followed pokemon evolved by levels pokemon evolved by happiness pokemon evolved by trade pokemon evolved by stones |
that's a pretty good method, shalashaska.
at the moment I have my boxes: Kanto, Johto etc. and then each box ordered by number, but I might integrate it with your method and make seperate boxes for pokemon that need to evolve, etc. |
yeh i find its easier to find certain pokemon when i need them, when i complete my pokedex im gonna put the in numerical order so for example
box 1: venasaur, charizard, blastoise, butterfree ETC but i will still keep the legendaries aside in a different box in numerical order aswell |
cool. :]
I think that's pretty much made my mind up, (unless someone can possibly suggest something even better!) thanks! |

I have boxes organised like this New (and i have my box set to this everytime i leave so that whenever I catch something it goes in this box) 1-9 10-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70-99 100 Shinies Do Up (pokemon i wish to train up soon) Junkbox (load of crap i trade away when i get/give freebies - usually bidoof) Legend (legendary pokemon box :) ) Unown Tradebox (box of pokemon that i want to trade away) Breed (pokemon im currently breeding) Natalya (a box for my girlfriend to catch pokemon and keep them :) ) works pretty well until i get more shinies xD - simple and easy for someone as simple as i x] |
that's cool,
I like the idea of leaving it on the 'new' box so new pokemon go in there, and a box for your girlfriend :] |
makes sense... I dont end up with all ma gfs pokemon everywhere if she plays on it :] plus then i can remember what she caught.
also, your level 5 starlys you're out catching (dont ask me why you'd be out doing that... i have no idea...) end up all in one box called NEW :] then you organise them thereafter. :D i dunno. something that seemed to make sense to me back in the days of GBA :P *sigh* memories |
I just generally like organizing Pokemon!
unless you're moving all the pokemon from one box to another that's like seven boxes away, and you have to keep withdrawing, moving boxes, and then depositing over and over! |
I sorted mine by
pokemon pokemon rare evil looking pokemon green pokemon |
I used to have them sorted by Type. But it takes to long when swapping Pokemon that I just have them any were and look for them. Takes me a while to find the one I want though.
|
I though about that one, but the thing that stopped me was when pokemon have two types I wouldn't know where to put them.
|
when pokemon have two types you could make it more simple and put like
Gengar who is type 1: ghost type 2: poison put him in the ghost box i want to get them all organized 1-483 (is that the right amount?) but then i think about how many extra spots are gonna be taken up by pokemon who have 3 evolutions... sigh |
Quote:
|
that works for pokemon like that
however pokemon with 3 evo's in the same game are a pain it looks cool i think, but it takes up 3 spots bulbasaur, ivysaur, venusaur, charmander, char...something..,charizard.. etc |
Well I personally set my out so it's easier for me to deal with.
1) A Carry Pack, of all the Pokemon I commonly use and train. 2) Special Pokemon (i.e Legendaries, shinys...) And then the rest of my Pokemon which I don't really use are left classified under the types. |
I know it's useless to post this, but I still will because I'm lame. xD
I organize by types. It's worked for me in Silver/Gold/Crystal. It's worked for me in Ruby/Emerald. And now it's working for me in Pearl. My first box is always Bug and second is always Water. Tradition xD Nostalgia. Then I combine some types, like Psychic/Ghost and Dark/Poison or whatever. I have a box for legendaries and my few events called Paradise! and a box for my shinies, as well as two boxes for eggs that always fill up fast x__x I don't do by levels or anything. I personally like sorting by types. And yeah, like mentioned, I put the Pokemon in a box depending on their first type. Like, Gyarados doesn't belong in a flying box. Gyarados belongs in Water. D; |
I have organised my boxes by type ( Water, Fire, etc. ) in my Diamond to help me find my pokemon, since I breed quite a lot and it speeds up the process of find the right Pokemon :)
|
I do it like this:
Teambox...(Pokemon that can be in my team and must be level 100) Rarebox...(Rare pokemon&legendary pokemon) Unownbox...(All types of unowns) Shinybox...(Shinies only) And, the rest of the spare boxes are: Junkboxes...(Junk pokemon only, just for the pokedex) |
So far my boxes are:
Lv.100s Trains (Those that need training) Shinys Legends legends 2 (I filled up my 1st box) Breeders Breeders Breeders Junks Eggs Shinys I had all my pokemon scattered in one point actually. |
I recomend renaming BOX1 as "Unsorted" because you can just catch things and leave them in there. That way your mess is automatically tidey!
Clever 'eh?! :P |
pretty nifty that one, zungie ;)
|
I know. I do it because I clone a fare bit, which results me in having my 1st bike rammed really randomly. As long as you don't leave it unsorted for more then 1 week, it should be fine.
If it overflow's, it just means your lazy.. |
I have a Legendaries box, Trades box (Pokemon i recieve via wi-fi), Team box (for Pokemon i have trained to be in my team for battles) and Wild (Pokemon i randomly catch)
I am yet to have any shinies :( Oh i also have a box for Pokemon holding all the Arceus plates too :D |
I have a box just for untrained weak Pokemon and the rest of my boxes are just Pokemon dumped there just because I don't feel like organizing them.
Yeah...I'm THAT unorganized. |
Mine's are...
Captured pokes junk junk(2) junk(3) again... Shinies Shinies(2) Legends(junk) and... nothing... |
I normally keep all final evolutions, and sort them (not by type)
For example, I have "Grass" (Bibarel, Linoone, Pidgeot, Venusaur), "Forest" (Lopunny, Raichu, Arbok, Sceptile), "Water" (Mantine, Seadra, Floatzel, Blastoise), "Volcano" (Rapidash, Ninetales, Arcanine, Typhlosion), "Urban" (Umbreon, Blissey, Delcatty, Persian). The special boxes are "Unown", "MinorLeg" (Articuno, Entei, Regice, Mesprit, Regigigas), "Legends" (Mewtwo, Manaphy, Groudon, Dialga), "Other" (Stupid Pokémon, Egg Move Fathers) and "TeamPkmn" (Pokémon from my travelling team are left there when replaced in the party, and Pokémon from my battle them are there when I don't use them). |
Referring to pokémon as "Junk" is a bi unfair. You might as well release it if it's REALLY "junk".. That really grates on me...
Anywho I just wanted to add that this is my BOX's in order: Unsorted, Trades[Being pokémon I need to trade or maybe that are cloned], Trades, Misc.[Unowns and a few Diamond only pokémon], Misc., BOX 6-10, Shiny's, Shiny's, Shiny's, Uber's, Uber/100, Leg's, Leg's, Leg's. I hope I helped :) |
I know what you mean about the Junk thing!
everyone seems to have boxes full of them; if you just want them for your pokedex can't you release them? thanks for the help though everyone! |
[Especially me]
-Cough- Only jokeing :P I got a few tips myself.. Also, before I go to bed.. If you arrange your BOX's each side of the 1st BOX, it take last time to scroll to it. LAST tip of the day: Use "Move Pokémon" istead. Trust me, it saves forever!! |
that's what I do too!
my trades/team/to evolve boxes are to the left of the first Box. and I never use Withdraw or Deposit, I always use Move. |
Box 1: Battle Pokemon / Move Breeders / Etc
Box 2: Pokemon #1-30 Box 3: Pokemon #31-60 Box 4: Pokemon #61-90 etc... Box 18: Pokemon #480-493 :P |
>.>
... That's Ichida for you. Me? 1-6: Random 7: legends 8: clones 9: minor breeding projects 10: teams 11-15: speed breeds (pokes I bred around a whole box of) 16, 17: Ditto 18: Ditto of specific natures. |
Hmm... I sort them by uhh what they are...
1 Junk/team/random 2-9 Shiny 10-12 Legend/event 13 Favorites/team 14 Junk 15-16 Babies 17 Shiny 18 Junk/captured I need more room. D8 |
Quote:
|
1-5 Junk or 'surplus'
6-7 Battlers and Pokemon I want to be battlers 8-9 Legendaries 11 Breeders 12 Babies 13 Shinies 14 Ditto |
I sort them by type, lengedaries, shinies, eggs, spare
|
Quote:
And my Diamond has like 4 boxes of room so I'm not like gonna die or something... ;P |
I arrange mine to be semi numeric.
I have them mostly arranged in numerical order with slight differences in that I group the families of pokemon together, like pichu, pikachu, and raichu. If I have more than one of the same pokemon, I just put them in order to level from lowest to highest. |
@twilightblade: did you offer a Lv 9 and under Mew on the GTS the other day?
because I raced out of the GTS centre after reading that someone wanted just a bidoof for a Mew. unfortunately I didn't get there quick enough :[ |
i sort mine like this kanto johto hoenn sinnoh repeat but the last three boxes are eggs and breeded
|
Mines organised as:
Box 1 = Shinies 1 Box 2 = Shinies 2 Box 3 = Shinies 3 Box 4 = Water 1 Box 5 = Water 2 Box 6 = Yellow Box 7 = Brown Box 8 = Green Box 9 = PurpPink Box 10 = Red Box 11 = Black Box 12 = White Box 13 = Egg Box 14 = Hatched Box 15 = Approved Box 16 = Not Want Box 17 = Box 17 Box 18 = EV/Team The colours meaning what colour the pokemon are obviously. Approved means that, whenever eggs are hatched and if i want to keep it I leave it in the approve box and wait a day or so to see if i want it or not. |
People actually sort their PC boxes?! This is new news to me.
In all seriousness, my boxes aren't sorted, but I use those symbols to mark my guys. Heart for party/PvP Pokemon, Star for traded ones, and circle for those brought over from 3rd gen. |
I don't see the problem with type most pokemon are two types anyway, and will mostly fit. Also, you can release pokemon you know, ones that you have doubles of or even ones you have no need for or can catch easily later
|
I sort my boxes like so:
Eevee: Where I keep all of my eeveelutions Trade: Pokemon I'll trade Team: Pokemon I regularly use for Battle that aren't in my party Backup: Pokemon I may use occasionally for battle. Breed: Pokemon I use for breeding. Legendary: Where I keep Legendary pokemon Other: Default box for newly caught pokemon & pokemon I don't use |
Box 16: Dittos of assorted natures, sorted by nature.
Box 17: Assorted Legendaries, sorted numerically. Box 18: All 28 Unown, sorted alphabetically. Box 1-6: Random Pokemon that don't see much use, that will most certainly be stored on D/P Box, if it ever comes out. Box 7: A few random Pokemon, and Pokemon that are still used on a regular basis. Everything else is empty, however a few boxes are used to store bred Pokemon. However, after every breeding project, I make sure to clean them out. |
I sorted my boxes pretty easily. I put my favorite and Legendary Pokemon in one box, (almost full >.<) my starters in another (Chimchar, Mudkip, ect..) My eggs in a box (good idea to put a picture or whatever and write down which one to remember your eggs) all my low level ones in the other box. I also put them in order from colour, so they're like a rainbow. xD

I do it by Pokemon habitats.
Yeh. I have a beach full of misbred Eevees and Elekids. They live there. /shudder. |
01.) Bug 02.) Dark 03.) Dragon 04.) Electric 05.) Fire 06.) fighting 07.) Flying 08.) Ghost 09.) Grass 10.) Ground/Rock 11.) Ice 12.) Normal 13.) Poison 14.) Psychic 15.) Steel 16.) Water 17.) Contest Pkmn 18.) Trading :t354:TG |
I organize mine by breeding group, then I have like 1 box for dittos/genderlesses that breed with ditto; and 3 boxes for Pokemon I'm currently trying to breed.
