Pal Park problem?

Right, so i bought Pokemon FireRed to try and help complete my Pokedex on Pearl.

I caught 6 Pokemon to try out the Pal Park and when i went, it said i didn't have any Pokemon ready.

When i went back onto FireRed to make sure, it said my game had been deleted! What on Earth is going on?

Has anyone had problems like this before?

Razer302 September 6th, 2007 10:18 AM

This happened to another member before. I don't think anyone knows what causes it.

wakachamo September 6th, 2007 10:18 AM

Your FireRed version is probably fake. Is the cartridge a translucent orange/red?

Bathing Ape September 6th, 2007 10:19 AM

Crap :(

It looks like i'll need to play the game in a GBA then doesn't it.....thats the only way i can assume my game will be safe.

I had just been Lt Surge aswell :(

wakachamo September 6th, 2007 10:19 AM

You didn't really answer my question. What color is your FireRed cartridge?

Yes it is translucent. I bought it from a store, i have the box and instructions for it too.

I have discovered the problem

The cartridge is an NTSC one

I have a PAL nintendo DS and PAL version of Pokemon Pearl

I will be going for a refund methinks!

wakachamo September 6th, 2007 10:38 AM

No. They work together. It must be something else.

Are you sure you know how to migrate the Pokémon correctly? Do you even know that you're supposed to go on the main menu first before going on the actual Pal Park?

Bathing Ape September 6th, 2007 11:25 AM

yes i do

the first time i got that option i tried it and then went to pal park like it says in the instruction manual

and thats where my troubles started

Shiny Umbreon September 6th, 2007 2:30 PM

The only case I've heard about something like this was because of a fake GBA cartridge. If yours is a legal one, there should be no problem.

Anthem Of The Fire September 6th, 2007 4:56 PM

Weird, usually Pal Park wouldn't do that. Weird?

The instruction Manual is suppose too . . . . . nvm

There is something wrong with your FR

nrox653 September 6th, 2007 5:03 PM

Erm... I guess the only reason is that your FR version was thinking that you used a cheating device, seeing as Diamond was never meant to work with it. Usually as a consequence of using GS or something, it will delete your save file on purpose. You didn't use an Action Replay or Gameshark on either one of your games, right? If you didn't then that's just a weird glitch and FR hates Diamond. :P

AnimeDDR110 September 6th, 2007 5:08 PM

did you return it and get a refund?

isnt there something you have to do in fire red first?
like the 7 islands thing at the end of the game?
i thought you had to complete it.
or is that just for trading with colloseum?
im not sure...

nah, as long as you have 6 pokemon in your pc you can use pal park
i got squirtle, bulba, charizard this way

Drakorn September 6th, 2007 10:46 PM

I haven't had this kind of problem with my Fire Red and/or other pokemon games. I can't think of any problem except for doing something wrong before you were starting pal park.
