Help please..

I'm trying to catch Mesprit, and I've got it's Hp down to one.
But, everytime I try to catch it with an Ultra Ball, it fails!
Should I just keep trying, and I'll catch it eventually?
or should I use the Master Ball instead..

Try to paralyze or put it to sleep once you've got it's hp, down to one. But yes, Masterball is reccomended.

Do I put it to sleep, then throw an Ultra Ball at it?
'cos I've already got its HP down to one.

Yes. Get a good Sleep inducer, if you will. Such as: Roserade, Tangrowth, Purugly, And Bronzong. Not much to say, unless you have access to the Pal Park.

Lumine September 9th, 2007 6:38 AM

Golbat with mean look does the job

Gunjan September 9th, 2007 6:52 AM

Yeah, I got Crobat with Mean Look. =D
I also have Bronzong to put it to sleep, but its too slow. >_<
Is Purguly faster to put it to sleep?

you shouldnt have any problems then

GOPgabe September 9th, 2007 7:31 AM

I used my stupid master ball on Cressilia. I found Mespirit easier to catch, instead try like said above. Someone who's fast and can put someone to sleep.

akatsuki9 September 9th, 2007 7:46 AM

i would use a quick ball or get a pokemon with mean look

Drakorn September 9th, 2007 7:48 AM

If you have a Gengar then use Hypnosis, try and get a Gengar higher than level 50 though.

Bishopk September 9th, 2007 7:50 AM

Equip Quick Claw to that Bronzong, it doesn't always work, but when it does it's magic.

And try Pokéballs too.

RJx2541 September 9th, 2007 7:50 AM

Keep using Ultra Balls, don't be a quitter. Use a Master ball on Cresellia

akatsuki9 September 9th, 2007 8:13 AM

u could clone the masterball and use it on mespirit and cressilia

ultranerd57 September 9th, 2007 8:58 AM

i would go for umbreon w/ mean look so psychic wont hit you and use dusk balls at night

Anthem Of The Fire September 9th, 2007 9:11 AM

Try not to make it escape using meanlook, then paralize it, put it to sleep. then try to catch it. Its a Sure fire

You can't inflict two stats conditions. Unless it's confusion+any other stats problem.

J-Rad September 9th, 2007 3:17 PM

same thing happened to me. What i did was I kept chasing it w/ my sneasal that I use for catching and used false swipe a couple times till it got 1 hp left. Then I got a wobbofett w/ shadow tag and trapped it. I threw a quick ball and caught it.

waveguidebuizel September 9th, 2007 5:29 PM

I got lucky in catching Mesprit. It was down to about 1/3 HP, and then I caught it with a Quick Ball. Quick Ball can work wonders here.

ThePlaya September 9th, 2007 5:34 PM

people dont waste your masterballs on cresselia and mesprit,sheesh...........just throw quickballs at them and it will be easier.....thats how i caught both of them.:).....save your masterballs for either-heatran,giratina,and regigas.

Volta. September 9th, 2007 6:48 PM

Masterballs are better for the travelling Pokémon because ... well, they travel. and flee.
I MasterBall'd my Cresselia and used Dark Balls at night on Mesprit*. Dark Balls, Quick Balls (in the first 5 turns), and Timer Balls (after 40 turns) are the best, statistically.

When it comes to Regigigas, Giratina, and all those other non-travelling legendary Pokémon, just stock up on Dark Balls and Timer Balls, save, battle them at night, use your legendary strategy, and if you run out of PokéBalls, reset and try again.

*EDIT: With a Wobbuffet out

Lumine September 9th, 2007 6:49 PM

You could always easily clone your masterball via GTS you all know that dont you?

Volta. September 9th, 2007 6:51 PM

Yes, but I assummed we were being legit here .. ^_^;

Use a pokeball and follow this: L- when ball is thrown. R- when ball opens. B- when pokeball catches and falls to ground. Rapid A's- When ball starts running.

I hate those urban myths about pushing buttons to increase your odds. None of them work. Maybe someone somewhere has gotten lucky enough to make it seem like it works, but none of those lame tricks work.
