Help please
What is the difference between Special Attack and Attack, and Special Defense and Defense? thanks!
I don't remember how it works but some moves use Physical Attacks (Atk) and other takes Elemental Attacks. (Sp. Atk)
Physical = impact-based. Special = magic or energy-based. You can tell whether a move is physical or special based on whether a red "impact" icon or a gray eye icon is showed next to a move.
Oh, okay, so Quick Attack is a Physical Attack so it is just regular Attack. However, if I use thunderbolt its Special Attack? (Just clarifying)
Attacks that can do damage are classified as "special" or "physical". So your pokemon's attack stat determines how strong its physical attacks are and it's special attack stat determins how strong its special attacks are. The same thing's with defence and special defence, it determins how well your pokemon can defend itself against physical attacks and special attacks, respectivly.
...I hope that made sense and wasn't confusing? |
OHHH! Okay thank you all for the wonderful help! Now I can beat my brother with EV training!! ;) wish me luck!
You're welcome! And I'm glad that I could help. Good luck! ^.^
