Miltank

First things first, I don't want any noobs in here trying to correct this team. If you don't know what you're talking about, don't try.

Now then,

[email protected]
Nature:Impish
Ev's~252 Hp, 200 Defense, 58 attack
Ability:I like both so I don't really care
Milk Drink
Heal Bell
Earthquake/Curse
Body Slam/Return/Frustration

I really mainly need some decisions made on the moves.

Shiraishi September 9th, 2007 4:49 PM

Omg your Ooka :O Unless I'm mistaken, Miltank is quite fast..why curse?o.o

Ooka September 9th, 2007 4:49 PM

Because I don't want to use it for speed, it's for defensive purposes, and curse just helps out more.

It's Just Fufu September 9th, 2007 5:03 PM

Body Slam>Return

Curse>Earthquake

I don't see why you just don't use Snolacks...anyways, the ability is a toss up. If you use Thick Fat, make sure you have a good Pursuiter so that you kill all those Ghosts that will switch in on this. If you use Scrappy, don't expect Miltank to switch in on any special move.

Miltank @:Leftovers
Trait: Scrappy
Bold Nature
Curse
Milk Drink
Return
Rest/Thunder Wave.

Azonic September 9th, 2007 5:30 PM

DO NOT put Curse on that oversized Cow. XDD

Body Slam can help it do a little more damage. A lot of speed helps both Attack and Defense.

Skarmory walls this pokemon badly though.

Shiraishi September 9th, 2007 5:31 PM

Bold nature and return?O_o He might be using it as a cleric so Heal bell might have to stay =O Edit:This was in response to Itachi's suggestions.

Anti September 9th, 2007 5:31 PM

It depends if you want paralysis. Return obviously has the most power, but if you are more into status conditions, go body slam. I would personally use body slam, but it's your call. I'd go Earthquake so steels don't totally wall you, but it's not like miltank is a sweeper or anything. Curse would work fine if you wish to use that.

Ooka September 9th, 2007 5:47 PM

Yeah, that's what I planned on going with in the first place but I added some options so I could let you guys choose. Oh and saying that I need a bold nature is a Noob suggestion which means you must have not read the first thread. Please do.

Anti September 9th, 2007 6:19 PM

Itachi is a good player. I'm pretty sure he meant i9mpish, but yes, I prefer body slam to return on most most normal types, except for tauros and slaking. So yeah, body slam and EQ, but curse is fine.

Why?

How does Speed actually help the Defense or the Attack stat, tell me? Last time I checked, Miltank has 105 Defense and 80 Attack; Miltank's speed doesn't increase either.

Heatran walls Skarmory.

Earthquake is a fine alternative to Curse, imo, but you should definitely go with Body Slam. It supports the team more than Return can, and it has more PP. It might be a bit counteractive with Curse though.

I think what penguin means is that with more speed on miltank, it can attack first, giving it a little more value as an attacker, and because it goes first, it might not take as many hits. That's my guess at least. All pokemon are walled by something, so let's not go crazy over that. Yes, Body slam and EQ get my vote, but curse does fine.

Ah, that makes sense. I guess I wasn't thinking straight. Even so, Miltank's Attack is only 80. You certainly aren't going to be killing much with that, unless you have a Choice Band, Adamant nature, and 252 EVs in Attack. To me, that's just a waste of a Pokemon that is REALLY meant to be more defensive. I mean, why not just use Tauros, or even Snorlax?

Ooka September 10th, 2007 3:08 AM

Well, I was thinking of using a new set, like this:

Miltank
Careful
252 hp, 252 special defense

milk drink
Heal bell
body slam
curse

I want to try to get it out against a special attacker and then curse up. It already would have decent defense and still max hp so it could probably even lead my team.

Marcy_11 September 10th, 2007 3:21 AM

I like
Milk Drink
Heal Bell
Toxic
Body Slam

it works well covers everything if you have the ability scrappy

Thanks, Anti. Well actually I didn't mean Impish as i'm not to much of an expert on the cow. But Impish can be good. Milk Drink plus curse, equals infinite immortality. (in which, means that Miltank cannot be destroyed, at all). And is not normal, in which agani, means that Milk Drink plus Curse is a complete beast. Maybe Relaxed and Gyro ball, could work out well. Just a suggestion, don't have to flame me till' I die. Seismic toss, and Maybe Double-edge, (Could make a pretty darn good, mini Snorlax with Curse and Double edge.). Psych up, well basically just be beefing up their defense, I do NOT reccomend this, as the opponent will not beef up their defense just for Miltank to beef up his at the exact same time. But Psych up Miltank is Unexpected, so it could work out pretty well. But mostly, in competive play, the opponent most likely knows that it can learn Psych up. /Endure, pretty obvious, survive a fighting attack. =p. Hammer arm, for steels and such, obviously. Could make it a good Blissey counter. Well that's all, sory for this extremely long post I made, as this is the most longest post in history. Or at least the long post I made. Edit: Apparently, not. =D. Please people, try to avoid calling me a noob, Thank you. -Itachi Uchiha. (I know, i'm not used to posting my name after the end of my post, but it's alwaays good to try something new).

It's Just Fufu September 11th, 2007 2:14 PM

Where would you see the opportunity to use Psych Up? And why use things that Snorlax can learn if Snorlax can do them better. Please, stick to what Miltank can do; let's not make it a (worse) copy of a different Pokemon.

Ooka September 11th, 2007 2:29 PM

Um, I think snorlax is nothing but a fat piece of crap, at least miltank makes milk in it's spare time. I don't like snorlax, I like miltank, it's as simple as that.
