I can't believe he would do this.

Well, as of lately I have developed an obsession for the pokemon miltank, anddecided to dedicate a whole team to it. The first thing that I want to say is, don't come here telling me that this team sucks, or that it's a bad idea. I am doing so don't try and talk me out of it. Either rate it, or help me out.
If the ability isn't listed then it's scrappy.

Careful~252 special defense/252 hp
Curse
Body Slam
Milk Drink
Heal Bell

This pokemon is for trying to bring out against a starmie or something and set up at least one curse so that it can take some hits. Then it goes on to sweep with body slam. You are probably thinking that no defense is a bad idea, well, your wrong. It has max hp and a good base defense so it can probably survive a dragon claw from a garchomp at least once.

[email protected] Specs/Leftovers
Modest/Timid~252 speed/252 special attack
~Thick Fat
Surf
Thunderbolt/Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast

This is going to be my special sweeper. It has the Choice Specs because, as everyone knows, Miltank has pretty low special attack. I can't decide between Thunderbolt and Ice Beam because they are both super effective on almost the same types. The benifit of Ice beam is it takes care of grass types, but the benifit of thunderbolt is it takes out bulky water types.

[email protected] Band/Leftovers
Adamant/Jolly~252 attack/252 speed
Body Slam
Earthquake
Brick Break
Zen Headbutt

This is my physical sweeper set. It has decent attack so I don't know if I need the choice band, I was also thinking of getting a relaxed nature and maxing attack and hp and replacing Zen Headbutt with milk drink. Just let me know what you think.

[email protected]
Impish~252 defense/252 hp(don't know about special defense since my opponent would have no idea that this miltank has low special defense due to all six of them)
Milk Drink
Heal Bell
Body Slam
Ice Beam/Earthquake

Well, this looks a lot like my first one, just it has a special attack so that it can take out pokemon like skarmory and hippowdon. It also has the defense ev's and I don't know what I should do about the low special defense since I have another miltank for special defense.

For the last two miltanks, I was thinking about a support miltank and I don't really know what I should do about the other so here is my support miltank.

Careful~252 hp/100 defense/158 special defense
Curse/Captivate
Stealth Rock
Thunder Wave/Heal Bell
Body Slam

Like I said, just give me an idea for the last one if you have an idea. I really like the look of this team and I know that it can take some pokemon down. I also bet that you think I have a severe Alakazam weakness due to Focus Blast but the thing about that is I know that my special defense miltank can survive long enough to survive one and get in an earthquake. Well, just let me know what you think.

Rise of the miltank! Other than species clause and the fighting weakness, this team isn't as bad as you'd think. You have to give the special sweeper choice specs, or it won't have the necessary power to take out opponents. *makes team of only kingdras and steelixes* I love the idea! Oh, I'd CB the physical sweeper too, but that is more of an option than something you NEED to do.

Ooka September 11th, 2007 3:32 PM

Yeah, I was thinking if I needed it agains an Electivire or something, that I might just put on the berry that lowers super effective fighting attacks, that way, even with stealth rock out, I have a chance of surviving.

Azonic September 11th, 2007 4:40 PM

Miltank's Special Attack is still far too low, even with Choice Specs.

KingFlygon September 11th, 2007 8:00 PM

unhealthy obsession!

Its amazing how you could get five different types of Milktanks out of one movepool. It goes to show, you know your stuff. Try a tank Milktank :P

J Dog September 11th, 2007 8:39 PM

this looks like a pretty good team.
i love the originality of the idea.
and i love miltank!
:)

have you ever thought about a subpunching miltank?
haha.
i dont think ive ever had to worry about a subpunching cow!
that would be awesome.
you should try this set.

Miltank @ Leftovers
Scrappy
Adamant/Jolly Nature
252 At/252 Speed/6 HP
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Return
-Milk Drink

i think this could work, he has the speed for it.
throw up a sub, focus punch.
or if youre low on health you could drink some milk.
i used to use a miltank like blissey and it worked really well.
i think this team might be able to pull of some wins.
good luck, glad to be of any help ooka.

Very few sweepers get a decent recovery move besides Rest. With Milk Drink and Life Orb, and Miltank's decent Defense, she can dish out the extra attack without worrying about the decrease in HP. So I would replace Zen Headbutt with Milk Drink, simply because Psychic type moves are only good when STABed, and something like Heracross will probably beat it no matter what.

In fact, a Heracross lead will most likely beat this team without blinking an eye... but eh, that's just my opinion.

Samson September 12th, 2007 9:42 AM

hey, don't think that just because you decided to make a full team of miltank that somehow you are a bigger fan of miltank.

I AM THE ULTIMATE MILTANK LOVER. back up.

Ooka September 12th, 2007 12:29 PM

Hehe, you think. And I have a little strategy for a Heracross lead, although I don't know if it would work. Well, I guess I'll just make the team and see what it can do.

luke September 12th, 2007 12:58 PM

How about creating a Physical Wall Miltank with that berry attached that reduces the damage from Fighting-type attacks. Would that be effective?

Ooka September 12th, 2007 3:05 PM

I did think about that, mainly for a fighting counter, and I am thinking about it.
