Your not serious about putting that dude in your team are you?

Dark Azelf September 12th, 2007 7:44 AM

[email protected] Belt/Life Orb
nature: Lonely
evs: 252 Atk / 176 Spd / 80 SpA
- Earthquake
- Cross Chop
- Ice Punch
- Thunderbolt

Thunderbolt OHKO'S Skarmory , this is also a great mixed sweeper and SkarmBliss killer.

EDIT:I agree Shedinja really is not a good pokemon to use, it may have Wonder Guard ablitity, but his weakness are common.

IMPISH NATURE
252 HP 252 DEF 6 ATT
- Spikes/Stealth Rock
- Drill Peck
- Whirlwind/Roar
- Roost

UBERS are banned in competetive play meaning Darkrai.

the Unown suck plain and simple.

You need a Specail wall, get a Blissey or something.

Oops sorry, i was like WTH when i thought you meant Unown (as in the pokemon)XD

Anyways like i previously suggested, you need a special wall and a special sweeper.

EDIT : For Electivire Use the Mixed one like i said in one of my previous post, as Skarmory, Tangrowth etc. Wall the Physical one

Lumine September 12th, 2007 7:58 AM

A good gengar I used to help me won a battle

Gengar @ Petaya Berry
Modestrecommended/Timid

I use that aswell

also Hypnosis can work in place of substitute and Thunderbolt has better type coverage than Sludge Bomb (Unless you really hate Ludicolo XD)

Also Timid Nature is better because it can be more of a threat if it can get a Sub/Hypnosis In first.

Ive also seen Focus Sash work on it, but use Hypnosis on it if you do as Substitute will make Focus Sash useless.

I got a modest gengar and timid gengar, and I find modest Gengar much more dominant althought Timid is always an option, and dont bother putting focus sash cause you have the substitute, put Wide Lens/Wise Glasses instead (Wide Lens for focus blast)

mikeallen123 September 12th, 2007 8:05 AM

cool im gonna train my team now and soon im gonna win them all thanks to you 2 :):)

Beat me to it, i was about to edit the Wide Lense Part in my previous post.

Yeah Wide Lense is always an option and it great with Hypnosis and Focus Blast, as Lumine said

No probs mate, make sure Gengar has excellent IVs in Special Attack and Speed so it could be an outstanding special sweeper

Faceless* September 12th, 2007 11:49 AM

... Why is Modest recommended? Timid Gengar is always the best for Enemy Infernape counterattack after it uses Close Combat. All as well as enemy Espeon, or even Starmie who runs Modest very frequently.
If your Gallade doesn't have Leaf Blade, enemy Swamperts are gonna toy with you since Gengar doesnt have Energy Ball :\
And if an Electivire with Thunderbolt catches you off-guard while Gengar uses Thunderbolt to give it Motor Drive, your team is ALSO in terror

Anti September 12th, 2007 11:54 AM

Yes name is right. Modest is garbage on gengar IMO, for the reasons name mentioned mostly...you need to run timid IMO. Also, Tbolt over sludge bomb is my recommendation. Also, don't use giga impact on Vire...use the mixed one.

Shiraishi September 12th, 2007 12:19 PM

That Electivire moveset kinda failed. Fire punch is only useful for Heracross. Thunderbolt might be 3 hit ko on Milotic which I don't like. I like T-punch better.

Anti September 12th, 2007 12:23 PM

Depends on who you fear more: Skarm or milotic? I prefer Tbolt, but thunderpunch works very well.

**[Instert nickname here]/Electrivire
Trait: Motor Drive
Lonely Nature
Thunderpunch
Earthquake
Substitute
Focus Punch. Good blissey counter with Focus Punch.

Shiraishi September 12th, 2007 12:25 PM

Well, I got 2hit ko on a maxed def Skarm with t-punch. He didn't get to lay down spikes so the whirlwind didn't really make his chance of surviving higher =x Thats a good blissey counter, but the standard electivire scares away blissey and pretty much any other poke thrown at it (cept Hera :[)

Well, comments, anybody? (Filler).

Anti September 12th, 2007 12:27 PM

Hmm, I guess Vire's Tpunch is stronger than I give it credit 4. Vire could subpunch Itachi, but isn't cross chop good enough. It 2HKOs bliss, so I'd be happy with that.
