Chimchar

I have got lots of chimchars and i mean lots,

it knows thunderpunch
i want it to learn heat wave i think its a little better than flamethrower,

i have left chimchar with magcargo, camerupt and yet it does not breed is their something wrong with my chimchar

So far i have
riolu(modest)(sp sweeper)
umbreon(defs)
waitin for a bagon(??? nature)
chimchar(attk)(sp attk)(or both)
ralts(adamant)
who else would be good in my team

maybe absol but i have a attker/

Anti September 12th, 2007 5:23 PM

Is Mence gonna be a special or physical attacker? Flamethrower is better than heat wave...accuracy matters A LOT. 5 extra power isn't much at all...try posting the movesets they WILL HAVE IN THE FUTURE, (many ignore this) and then we can help much more. That, and EVs.

ultranerd57 September 12th, 2007 5:26 PM

i would put a wall or others would suggest annoyers not to big on them myself

Anti September 12th, 2007 5:31 PM

Yes, walls, as umbreon fails in 4th gen IMO, that's why I play emerald:) I'll start with physical infernape:

[email protected] Orb
Jolly
252 Speed, 252 attack, 6 HP
~Close Combat
~Flare Blitz
~Thunderpunch
~Stone Edge/Earthquake/U turn

Pretty easy to use.

Vegeta™ September 12th, 2007 5:43 PM

good start...

Umbreon

Toxic
Baton Pass

EVs? Well, run 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 SpD. I like confuse ray over toxic, but do what you want.

Gallade@choice scarf
Nature:Adamant
Leaf Blade
Night Slash
Close Combat
Psycho Cut

Post the EVs...probably 252 speed, 252 att, 6 HP...and scarf it please...

Infernape
Evs:128 Atk/252 Spd/128 SpAtk
Nature:Hasty
Close Combat
Flamethrower
Thunderpunch
Earthquake

That's not a good set. Used the one I posted or mixednape...which has nasty plot...that set.

Salamence
Nature:modest/timid
Evs:4 Hp/252 special Atk/ 252 Spd
Hydro Pump
Flamethrower
Dragon pulse
Draco Meteor

Roost? Nononononono. I've posted specsmence for you.

? Who do you think i should have for the last spot

Use a defensive poke, since you have no reliable ones...and umbreon fails in 4th gebn, so I don't count it...I'd get rid of it and put in...dare I say it...skarmbliss.

Vegeta™ September 13th, 2007 3:39 PM

Who Blissey i have a modest happiny is that okay

Anti September 13th, 2007 3:41 PM

No. BOLD. Here is blissey:

[email protected]
Bold
252 HP, 252 defense, 6 SpD
~Aromatherapy
~Seismic Toss
~Thunder Wave
~Softboiled

It is IMO the most effective blissey set. Modest won't work. You gotta rebreed...*cougheverstonetrickcough*

Vegeta™ September 13th, 2007 3:44 PM

how do i teach it seicmic toss

Anti September 13th, 2007 3:45 PM

Pokemon Emerald...backup move: Ice Beam. Seismic toss is better though...but you NEED bold nature.

.... Flare Blitz? :\
Flare Blitz is a physical attack, Infernape is at its best when acting as a SkarmBliss counter which means Flare Blitz=Flamethrower
Mixed Infernape has Grass Knot for Swampert, and Stone Edge for Salamence/Togekiss.

Anti September 13th, 2007 3:51 PM

Well, yes. That was physical Nape...not mixed. But mixed infernape is the best IMO.

Vegeta™ September 13th, 2007 3:51 PM

thunderpunch for salamence and togekiss, u-turn for psychic

i have a hasty nature chimchar

-close combat
-flamethrower
-grass knox
-hidden power

Anti September 13th, 2007 3:53 PM

Wait...what? Thunderpunch hits Mence with nuetral damage...thunderpunch is for water and flying types. I would post Mixednape, but my mind is failing me...

Vegeta™ September 13th, 2007 3:58 PM

i have hidden power for nape so thunderpunch i dont need

Anti September 13th, 2007 4:29 PM

Wait, what hidden power? I'll attempt to post mixednape if my brain works...

[email protected] Orb
Hasty
252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 SpA
~Nasty Plot
~Flamethrower
~Close Combat
~Thunderpunch

...I think that's it...

Azonic September 13th, 2007 4:36 PM

Flare Blitz, Stone Edge, or Earthquake. Nasty Plot is tricky to use in nape

Anti September 13th, 2007 4:38 PM

Most mixed infernapes carried nasty plot I thought...well, in any situation, just make sure you don't do anything TOO stupid...but yeah, used mixednape, it's very good.

Angelic Diablo September 14th, 2007 12:01 AM

Wow I always thought mixedape had Swords Dance, then they would switch to Skarm/Steelix/Forry and you hit it with a flamethrower

[email protected] Orb
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat\Brick Break
-Flamethrower
-Grass Knot

With a couple of SDs Brick Break does what a non SD CC does but without losing defense
